Tonight I'm making sauteed whiting, mashed rutabagas, oven fries and Portuguese Easter Bread.

Big DS is going camping with the Boy Scouts this weekend so I like to fill him up with good stuff before he leaves! He can't wait--they are going to an observatory in eastern PA, and the weather will be perfectly clear. The boys will get to use the observatory telescopes during the weekend!

Barb--
I hope your son enjoys his trip! We just took our Girl Scout troop to a planetarium this last weekend at a local college. They have the observatory with a fabulously powerful telescope and we got to see the moon quite up close and personal!! The girls loved it, and so my troop co-leader and I!

Last night's dinner was vegetable soup and leftover pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Today I'm in my usual Friday "I-have-no-idea-what's-for-dinner" quandry!!

I am the same way today...need to run out for a few groceries so maybe I will see something good to make..
yesterday was an odd one..never had anything to eat before going for my eye tests so stopped at Whistle Junction at 11:30 for "brunch" and then never ate any dinner because I over did it....
being good today...

I'll be putting on a pot of chili pretty soon to cook all day. Will freeze the leftovers.

Saturday lunch will be leftover hotdogs/brats with macaroon & cheese and a veggie. Kids will eat at my sister's as DH & I have a dinner to attend put on by Avon.

Sunday I'm thinking of making ham & beans with corn bread. Will freeze the leftovers.

Hello all, and TGIF!!!

Hope everyone is doing good today.

Deb, hope you are feeling better.

Well we had a cold front come through, didn't make much of a difference though. It just dropped the humidity. It is 81 degrees now............

My son wants to watch Saving Private Ryan tonight, I bought the DVD last week. He caught the tail end of it on HBO the other day, and now wants to see the whole movie. I am ALWAYS bawling by the end of the movie. AWESOME movie. So we will probably have take out tonight. Not sure where yet though.

Have a great day!!!

Coll - I thought Greensburg was about 1 3/4 hours to SC? It is where our electric company was/is. We use Allegheny Power.

Tonight is prepurchased chicken pies, big family sized ones for $3 so that is a bonus. Got 2.
