Lynne congrats on your chef guy!!

Tonight was the first meal I have eaten since Friday night. I have been on clear fluids due to a bad salad dressing that I ate. So tonight I had bananas and rice....how exciting!!! hopefully I can eat more by the weekend!

Hugs debbie

Debbie - so sorry to hear that you have been sick!

Ellen - dh had deer burgers today for lunch (they have a kitchen on the unit he works on and usually someone is cooking). I have never been able to stomach eating deer - maybe it's all visual, but even as a child, I remember it tasting different and not liking it at all! It's probably good for you though.

I made chicken and dumplings for dinner tonight. We had left over chicken from a roaster and I also found some frozen boiled chicken (one of those things way back in the freezer). Just put it in my large pan with chicken broth and some celery and simmered it for awhile. I cheated on the dumplings though. I had pillsbury crescent rolls in the fridge that needed to be used so I cut them up and tossed them in with the chicken. They tasted pretty good and it was so easy!

Tonight is Vegetable-Beef-Barley soup made in the crockpot. It is actually going to get cold tonight! I think around 37º for the overnight low! (Yep, I know most of you already have had cold weather, but this is great for us!!)

Have a great evening!

Deb, sorry to hear you've been sick. Hope you're on the mend now.
Although I'm not sure how good bananas and rice would make me feel. LOL

Dinner tonight was tacos.

Haven't been posting too often as I'm trying to concentrate as much of my "free" time as possible on helping DH sort through stuff before he leaves next week for his new job in Pa. After that, I'll be doing a few fixer-upper things, a little freshening, cleaning and staging, and then will list the house for sale.

Coll: yes, I'll be moving, eventually, as soon as I can sell our house here in Wisconsin. My husband has taken a job in Bellefonte (near State College). He's leaving the end of next week and starts on Nov. 13.

I really don't know the geography. Is that anywhere near you?

Liz, no, I'm way to the west of where you will be. I'm not far from Pittsburgh.
You will be closer to ellenmellon though.

Today is a rather busy day. I think tonight will be pizza and a movie night!
