Lisa, no the house is not on the market yet. Sigh. I have one room that needed a lot of TLC before I felt I could list the house. (It's the third bedroom/office and it had awful Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle wallpaper when we bought the house, and I wanted to redo it back then, but DH was too anxious to get his books unpacked and installed on shelves from floor to ceiling, so then it was always a major deal when I'd mention removing the wallpaper.) Sooooo, now I felt I really had to get it down. Wednesdays are my day off work, so I spent today scraping the backing from the wallpaper off two of the walls. (DS and I got all the vinyl top layer off when he was home this weekend).

And DH really likes his new job -- he says the people are wonderful and the tasks he's been given are interesting.

Anyway, back to the real topic, dinner tonight was homemade Hot and Sour Soup. Very soothing and warm after my day of battle with Ninja Turtles!

Made center cut pork chops in the turbo cooker tonight. Just put some bread crumbs for flavor and a little oil. They come out so tender. Hormel does have good pork chops.
Cut the tops off peppers and stuffed with chopped up peppers & tomato mixed with bread crumbs & a little oil. Poured some tomato sauce over them and cooked covered in the microwave for about fifteen min. Didn't have time to put in the oven but they turned out pretty good cooked this way. Was surprised Mom ate the whole pepper. Next time will use rice in the mix. Also made sliced mushrooms & leftover stringbeans.

Maryann, A pasty is a type of pie,(individual) It is a baked pastry case traditionally filled with diced meat and vegetables.
The ingredients are uncooked before being placed in the unbaked pastry case.
Traditionally, pasties have a semicircular shape, achieved by folding a circular pastry sheet over the filling. One edge is crimped to form a seal.

I have got to go through the fridge and tidy up so dinner will most likely include a lot of leftovers, maybe soup or pie out of them?

We had tacos last night. I think dh is getting weary of turkey dinners.

So I'm going to freeze the broth from the carcas for soup later.

Still some taco fixings left so maybe we'll have that tonight. Or maybe chicken.

Hot dogs sound good. I think that's what we'll have. I'm also making deviled eggs because I'm taking some to MNO tonight.

My dd wants french toast instead. But they won't go well with deviled eggs.

TTFN,
Shelley K
