Hi everyone. We have had a sick house so not much dinner being made! Dd stayed home yesterday and then I started feeling sick last night. I'm hopeing that mine was just sympathy sick! We are staying home today to (1) make sure we're all better and (2) not spread the germs anywhere else!

I have chicken meat from a roaster I bought earlier in the week. I think I'll do something with that for dinner.

Lynne - Congratulations on your chef guy! I was drooling over the recipe when I saw it in the newsletter!

Tami - I'm sorry you aren't able to visit your mom. How far away is she?

Wow, I just found this thread, again.

Dinner tonight is going to be beef roast. I'm actually going to do it gals. You know the cook once, eat twice thing....

I'm making 2 pot roasts at once. Will serve one and freeze the other.
It will be so nice to have that all cooked and ready to heat next week when my dear friend, Carla comes up from Fla. to stay with me for 4 days.

We have been friends since 3rd grade. (For any of you that don't know me well, I was in grade school in the 1950's). I'm so looking forward to having her here.

Lynne, congrats on your chef guy. Nice Going!!

Tami, I'm so sorry for you not being able to see your mom this holiday time. Wish I could help.

Ellen, I've never had venison made into hot dogs. Do they put other meat in with it?

Dinner tonight is going to be Big Red, Brats, and hotdogs with homemade french fries and baked beans.

I'm thinking on making chili on Friday with cornbread.

Hello ladies,

Hope you all are doing good today.

Not as hot here as it was yesterday, since we have a cool front coming through today.

Joshua woke up this morning with a sore throat. So I made him gargle with salt water before he left for school this morning. He as NOT impressed. He HATES that!!! LOL

Dinner tonight is roast chicken, which has been in the crockpot all day, chicken and broccoli flavored noodles(Lipton) and some kind of veggy. Ice cream for dessert while watching Survivor!!!

Have a good evening!!!

raggd3 - I don't remember but will ask dh when he calls in tonight. They taste very lean like maybe just venison. They are also very spicy, I think we had two choices, not spicy and spicy, and we got spicy.

Thanks for the thoughts. My Mom is still in Pa.

We had spicy brat sandwiches and hashbrown casserole tonight. My kids had mac n cheese instead of HBC.

We were planning on our Halloween movie night tonight but my kids are pushing their limits tonight. I am pretty sure that I am going to put an end to this night early tonight and move the movie to tomorrow night.
