Barb, I had to laugh about the mashed potatoes, dd#1 made them from scratch ( I always use boxed with creamcheese added) and guarded them when her sisiters were making care packages for themselves. She said "no way I'm sharing these, your lucky mom made me share for the meal. We all laughed as we remembered how she was like that with my mom's real mashed potoatoes when she was little. we had a good day remembering my folks & my dh's and all my kids memories. It is nice to pass them down & my dgd loves hearing about when mom & aunts were little.
GO BEARS !!

I used to make myself French fry sandwiches when I was a teenagers. Except, I didn't put egg in mine.
Tonight, I think we will have hamburgers and chips since we plan on going to the drive-in movies. We can take that along with soft drinks and maybe popcorn.
Hello all, had a very nice Thanksgiving and hope everyone else did too. Tonite will be left overs and most likely tomorrow too with something new added to it.

Sueanne - we did a citrus turkey also and it was the best turkey I have ever had, even the dark meat. I guess I used tangerines, onion, carrot, celery, limes and soy and butter. No herbs this time.
I had the brussels cold for lunch and they were like eating candy. Amazing for such a little cabbage thing.

Did you know if you thinly slice brussel sprouts and add them to the cabbage in coleslaw no one even notices they are there?
If I cook them and put them on the plate the kids will eat them but won't seek them out. I tell them it's only one sprout what can that hurt eat it with your mashed potatoes LOL Then next time 2 sporuts etc etc.
I sneak all sorts of things into our food and no one is the wiser!
Tonight we are going to have leftovers instead of hamburgers. DS realized the Mavericks are playing on television and he doesn't want to miss the game by going to the movies. So, we'll go tomorrow.
WEr'e having leftover Thanksgiving dinner.I cooked a small turkey on my George Forman rotissere, becasue we went to my cousins for the actual big meal. Wow, did she have a lot of food there, must have cooked for a week!!!
