Tonight I am brewing up a pot of homemade spaghetti sauce, so spaghetti and meatballs it is! I will bake the meatballs~~we like that better than fried.
Have a great evening!!!

Made sausage & peppers tonight. Always cook the sausage frozen in the microwave first than brown in the turbo cooker. Most of the fat comes out making it low fat.
Had broccoli and mashed potatoes.
Enjoyed the homemade bread too.

I simmer my frozen sausages in water and then brown them and then paper towel them to try to remove the fat; the microwave idea I want to try too, thanks Sueane.

Dinner plans have changed. Hubby called from work and said they all just ate pizza, so I didn't need to cook. So he will pick something up for Joshua and I on his way home............

Dinner tonight was another of my own inventions, pork chops and saurkraut ala lo carb.
I put chops in a frying pan with about 1/2 inch water. As they cook, I put in either 4 or 5 cut garlic cloves or 3 good shakes garlic powder.
Then I add parsley and thyme, maybe 5 or 6 real good shakes of each. I squirt some mustard (sometimes dijon or regular) aall over and around the chops. Maybe 5 or 6 big tablespoonfulls.
I cut up 5 onions in large slices, put on top, cover and let simmer 1/2 hour.
Next I poured a drained can of green beans over the chops. (But any veggie would work.)
Lastly I drained and lightly rinsed a bag of saurkraut and put that on, covered and simmered another 1/2 hour or little less.
It was tasty and low in carbs. Which is what I'm on now. Atkins diet. And no, this isn't an Atkins recipe because he doesn't allow saurkraut. But I believe in cabbage for weight loss and good health.
