My favorite time of the year!!!!! It's time for comfort food.
Last nights chili was so good. Tasty and warm for a damp night.
We'll have chili leftovers tomorrow night.
Dinner tonight is roast pork tenderloin, roasted broccoli and baked potatoes. I always try and bake extra potatoes so we can have twice baked potatoes or something of the sort.
Have a great day.

We has roast beef done in the crock pot, butter baked rice and corn. It's definitely fall weather here in central PA too. I just hope it sticks around long enough for us to enjoy it before the cold & snow moves in.
I just got back from VT shopping and eating at 99 so we will have hamburgers. My boyfriend makes most of our meals unless he is gone, as I work pretty much all day so it is ready when I get home.
Well dinner ended up being fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. Now my sweet tooth is kicking in.........think I may whip up a batch of brownies!!
This evening was our Annual Chili Cook-Off at church--it's our 9th year, and we had a big crowd considering it was 94º this afternoon. I submitted a chili entry and also took a spice cake with cream cheese frosting. Everyone in attendance gets to vote by ticket. Well, I guess you know where I am going with this~~I won 1st place!
Have a great evening everyone!

We ate at our friends' house. They made a deep-fried turkey. It was delicious! I should have brought more potato salad; it all disappeared really quick. There were also green salad, pasta salad, and brownies for dessert.
Tonight for dinner we had homemade (sorta) pizza and green salad. I used the Pillsbury crust in the can and added sauce, cheese, pepperoni and onions. Tasted pretty good, but I'm going to have to find a good recipe for pizza crust as it has that "Pillsbury" taste to it. I hadn't made it that way in years, and now I remember why. Sigh!
Congrats Debbie! That's terrific.
Welcome to the board, Cheri. Everyone here is so nice and shares amazing recipes and ideas.
Congratulations Debbie F! Is it a secret recipe? Can you share it with us?
We were given a turkey fryer about 7 years ago and have never used it! I hear they are very delicious. One of the problems is that we wait until Thanksgiving and then the outdoor temps are too cold for the oil to get very hot....should have a Thanksgiving in August celebration.
