DebK you are going to have to share your carrot recipe with us. I love carrots and maple syrup. We don't have the "better" kind down here like you and Vermont but I still like it.

Dinner tonite is Hamburger Helper the Philly Cheese Steak one. Judy already ate a Jumbo Cheeseburger while the rest of us were gone so she has had her dinner.

Patti I just boil my carrots until just cooked. Then transfer them to a fry pan with a small amount of butter and some maple syrup. Sear on med high until gently coated. That is all I do. You can do it with buttter and brown sugar too.

Hugs Debbie

signing in for this month.
We had pork loin roast tonight cooked with potatoes, carrots and onions on the stove. It was totally funny-the roast was a good size piece of meat and I thought my dd had left the meat in the pot with the veggies-she did mention something about not being able to find the meat -or that's what I heard- anyway, I didn't really get any meat with the veggies when I ate, didn't think anything about it. Started to go to my mom's house after dinner and said something about not having any meat in the pot and my dd burst out laughing... she had the meat on a platter separate from the veggies... Well, at least I'll have some for lunch tomorrow...
take care all,

Maple syrup is very abundant here.
I wish we could get it here in NM. My DH is an addict! lol I have found a company to buy his syrup from so the he isn't buying a ton a tiny bottles of it at the grocery store.

Tonight I am making Italian Veal stew in my roaster. We eat this over pasta (ziti, penne, something like that). Garlic bread on the side. I think there is a bag of zucchini slices in my freezer so if that pops out at me, I'll add the zucchini to the stew.

Dinner tonight will be out somewhere--since school has been back in, I'm starting to backslide and give in to takout more often. I need to get back on a schedule of making things ahead on the weekends!
Hope everyone has a great week! BTW, those maple carrots sound just delicous!!!
