Old blue jeans apron

My sister made one for my Dad when she was a teen ager. I've been trying to get her to make one for me. But, Leasmom, you should make some extras & sell them. I'm sure they would get $15 to $20.

Today I'm going to make some bread, my dh bought me some yeast at Costco the other day.

My mil just stopped by, she wants to go for a drive tomorrow and look at the fall leaves in the canyon. I usually cut a few branches and make an arrangement. They are always so pretty! Pretty soon it will be time to gather up all the horse chestnuts. We always put some of them in a basket on the coffee table. The kids like to play with them, and they like to gather them out of the front yard, that in it self is great, cause I don't have to try to rake them up if they gather them. Aaah, I love fall, crunchin leaves, raking leaves!

Apron Straps

I used the seam at the bottom of the pants leg... and the seam of the pants leg. The bottom seam worked out great but I don't like the pants leg seam too much.

I don't know about selling them, since I do it by hand and my fingers are already holey-LOL!

I would like a craft to sell though...I know they have an outdoor flea market on the weekends down the street from me. I wouldn't need a license, just set up what I have...any ideals? I like the buckeye bracelets but wouldn't know what a buckeye is if I saw it and not sure if they have them here...

I'll have to think on this one...I could use the extra money. I just got great news...I moved here to Pueblo for my daughter and to continue my degree but when I got here everything fell apart. They mixed up my application at the University here and so everything is just a mess. I couldn't find a job, so I'm about to be retrained as a CNA, though you'd think I'd be making pretty good money because I have a degree...then I found out I owed my old school $692 and that because I left mid semester my financial aid was suspended.

Well, I put in an appeal for financial aid and was nervously awaiting their word whether to reject my appeal or to accept. I can go back to the school but not without Financial Aid. In the meantime though, I called about the $692 I owe and made payment arrangements. I got the call from them yesterday saying they needed a little extra information but that I should fill out another financial aid form and they will try to work with me so I can go back this coming summer. That would mean moving back to Tennessee but it would mean being back in school and finishing my degree!!!

Dd is excited and I told her we would have to pay off all of our debts and save as much money as possible. I have to pay back leftover utility bills as well as the $692. So, hopefully, things will work out for me and I won't have wasted 5 yrs of getting my Bachelors just to work at McDonald's or something, especially in this economy where a Bachelors degree might as well be toilet tissue!!!

So, any extra money would be welcomed, so I may try the craft approach...but wish me luck ya'll! I'm sending off some forms for them now and hope that by June 1st, we will be back on our way and things will work out for us!!!

Leasmom - gosh, things are sounding exciting! Do you have a place to sell a craft? Maybe you could do it on the net?

leasmom-

great idea using the seams, I threw mine away

A buckeye bracelet can be one of 2 things. Dh used Buckeye colors red and gray in beads and put some buckeye nuts in between. Mine I just did red and gray beads all the way around. These are for Ohio State University fans. We live in Columbus where Ohio State is located. You could make them in whatever university color is your area and sell them to fans. Buckeyes only grow in Ohio, Pa. and I think NC. maybe WV too since they are our next door neighbors. Anybody want walnuts? Come on down, they are everywhere!!!! Same with acorns. If I were really, really frugal I would collect the walnuts, shell them, dry them and use them. I've never done it by my mil says they are really messy.

I have just discovered the most fun site--(via a commercial on TV). It's www.behr.com . You can play with all kinds of color palletes and rooms. I am having SO much fun "trying" out color combinations for my bathroom. It's totally free so very frugal too! You can save any combinations that you like too.

Oh wow--we painted just befroe moving in last year when we bought this house. I'm getting so inspired I may want to paint again. Somebody slap me and bring me to my senses. I HATE to paint!

Jayne - thanks for the link! I've been trying to talk dh into helping me peel wallpaper in the familyroom, then painting it. I never could decide on a color, so this will help! I hate painting too, but I do have a ds (20) who borrowed some money and never payed it back, maybe - - who knows!

Good luck Leas Mom with all your after. Sounds like your heading in the right direction! Are you any good at baking? That may be a stand you could set up at a flea market. I see them at our local one all the time and they always seem to have a line.
Jayne,
I bet your dh will put some sense into you if you start requesting to repaint your house. lol
I just this week made my dh a new "Honey Do" list touching up paint is on it so we will be making another trip to the paint store soon....hmmmm We have white woodwork and it needs repainting something fierce. So if I were to fall in love with a different shade for the walls who could blame me! I must stop myself though, as we still have to get started on the babies room.
We were himming and hawing about finding out the sex of our baby and went for an ultrasound yesterday well here to find out they couldnt tell either. So I am leaning toward maybe its a girl....Hoping this will be last ultrasound so will be surprised no matter.
Last night we went to our Shake Rattle Roll class at the library Evan did great he participated in everything as he used to shy away from certain dances like if you had to leave your mommys side! off he went. So that was frugal and free.
Today called and signed Evan up for Gymastics I figure he would love running around the gym and all that what a great activity for winter when were mostly holed up indoors. That starts second week of November. Not so frugal though cost 52.00! Might be priceless though as I bet on those days he will sleep really well!!!! and great excerise its a 6wk course.
Tonights frugal thing will be staying in as we are going out to dinner on Sunday its my dhs Aunts 80th b-day, the whole family is taking her out of course we all have to pay for our own meals so not sure how much that will be costing safe side eat in all week and weekend. I am getting her a coursage need an opinion should I go with a rose or carnations? We are all bringing her a little something since she really needs nothing. One sil is bringing box of candy so on so on. Wishing everyone a great weekend.
