Thanks Linda Lou...I'll go back and review what I apparently missed...

Lynette sure surprised me this am...I had sent her my addy for a post card and she pm'd back and said she accidentally deleted it and so I pm'd back and asked if she was having a "senior" moment...I then disconnected and not 30 seconds later the phone rang and someone said "so...you think I'm having a senior moment huh??" It was but what a neat surprise. We had a really nice talk...She told me about surprising you too;-)

joe'sbaby...I hope it all still works out for you and if not perhaps there is something even better coming along that you never would have expected. Glad to hear your ds's game went good.

OSI...Hope all is ok tonight!

Sandra

Fruit drying in the dehydrator.

Ummmmm, yes that is the best kind of fruit roll up! I had a food dehydrator that gave out on me. But, I made the fruit leather several times, it was sooo good, even dh ate the dried fruit! Because it is not so darn sweet.

Redcardinalbird, I think "touring" your own area is frugal, as you do not have to spend the money on lodging fees.

Joesbaby, don't give up, maybe, the other person won't come through, or like someone else said, maybe something better will come your way. You are already approved for the loan. Do you have a certain amount of time until the loan offer "expires"? If so, than maybe you could look a litte bit more, just not make any offers, until you know what is what with your dream home.

Oh, gosh, I forgot to mention sorry for the loss of the hydrgenas, they are sooo pretty. Some people are just so ignorant, how could someone have the gull to steal someone elses possessions. As someone said to me before, if they stole it obviously they needed more than I! So sad!

Osi, hope everything went well last night!

I don't think today will be very frugal. Oldest DD needs to get her eyes checked today, so I will have to pay for contact lenses, the appt. will be covered for the eyeglass exam, and the glasses, but not the exam for contacts, or the contacts.

The only real savings will be that her appt. is at Wal-Mart, and I need to pick items up at Wal Mart anyway, saves on gas. I am hoping to find bedding on sale. We got beds for DD's a bunk bed for DDs #1 & #2 and a single bed for DD#3. Only thing frugal about that is DS will get DD#2's futon. While there I will also get myself a pair of glasses, think I will be frugal and get a kids pair.

I will try to get wash hung out to dry.

Ya'll have me thinking so much about what I should plant

for winter crops when I officially move into the house. A friend said I should rent a tiller and then plant some winter crops. I've got to find out what works well in this area. I haven't had a garden in nearly 3 years!!!

Next year I will be able to do some canning again myself. Until then I can just go get some veggies/fruits from the Farmer's market. I want some Low Carb jelly so badly but they don't have any at the store...since us LCers can have berries, and the blueberries are out now, ya'll have me wanting to make some LC blueberry jelly.

But, for right now I have to concentrate on cleaning and painting the house, and reading like 150 chapters for my class by tomorrow-

Joesbaby, yes keep getting the money together that way if you don't get this one, you can be able to put the money down on the next house. I believe it'll all work out for you...sometimes what we want isn't what's best for us and if it's not, that means YOUR house is coming, whatever happens, we are sending you e-love

Wow! My goodness you all were busy on here yesterday.

Thanks for all the warm wishes and support, I could feel it humming through the computer wires... you all are truly a great group of ladies and I appreciate you more than you will ever know.

Erika-

I hope the other guys loan falls through too. But keep saving your money anyways and you will be better prepared if it doesn't go through to jump on the next good deal.

So many pages back but sorry to the member who lost her flowers, that's a new one on me never heard of anyone stealing flowers before.

Good job ladies on the canning. I miss doing that but with working and now our crafting, just haven't had time this year but am supporting other canners by buying my sugar free jam at the mall... Oh it is so good too!

Crime Prevention

We spent the afternoon doing some preventive measures... what a hard job.

We installed a motion sensor double floodlight, replaced 2 regular bulb lights on the porch with more floodlights and set up our camcorder on a tripod aimed at the yard and driveway with a motion security sensor. Unfortunately it only comes on at about 12 foot so unless they come up close to the house, it won't come on. We will be talking with co workers today to see if there's something we can do to get it to a longer range.

I also called our neighborhood liason officer told him what happened, this guy is a renter and has some code violations so Mr. McKinley is going down there today and see if we can't get him out of our neighborhood.

Ericka, I will pray that you get the house--if it is the house that you should get. Otherwise, maybe something better is just down the road.

Anna, I hope all your preparations pay off and this guy is banished from the neighborhood--and made to reimburse you for all the damages.

Good morning everyone. A big storm rolled through last night. It was so nice to feel cool of a while. And the kids had so much fun after it passed. They played in the mud puddles. They were just covered in mud.

More Crime Prevention

Another thing we did:

My friend and neighbor Melissa- her brother owns a security company called "Wired To The Max"... she is going to ask him to give us some of his business signs to display in our yard and in our windows so it'll at least look like we have a system.

Emmalee-

Is this where you live? The background looks awesome and of course, the kids look cute too.

Yes Anna this is where I live for now anyway. We are right in the middle of two huge corn fields. The one you see is feed corn the on behind us is eating corn. A storm had just passed. It was still nice and cool and they wanted to go out and play. And one thing led to another and they ended up in the puddles. There was a rainbow behind them but the camera didn't pick it up. I will miss living out of town. But I guess I can't have it all.
