Leighann-

AAA.. do you mean on their rates it's 68.00 for just 1 person? Too bad the hotel isn't doing the discount, we've always been able to use our card at any hotel anytime as long as they are AAA members. AAA even provided us with a book of pet friendly hotels across america.... that was a valuable tool for us taking our dogs.

Well it looks like your storm is about to hit Hilliard, Ohio so I'm getting off here and getting ready to head home. Take care all and see ya tommorow.

LisLynn, Good luck with coming up with the rest of the cash for the new car. You are doing such a good job!

We are also on the budget plan for electric. But, I am going to try to get it back down, as right now it is at $120/month. Which is more than what I was paying for the budget amt. at our old place, with electric heat, and two stories!

I blew the budget last year when DD had lice, I used the dryer for everything, at a time of year when I usually don't use the dryer at all. I have noticed that dH, has not been using the AC as hard as the last few years. Hopefully he is tired of paying someone for something we really don't have to pay so much for.

Leighann, I hope that storm breaks up before it gets to PA, it sounds like one of those scarey ones. And your vacation sounds like fun. You will most likely be passing right through my area.

Jrztomato, don't forget that if you are paying for internet service to cancel it until you are ready to use it at home again!

Frugal today. DH need to go to town today and I need to do some shopping. So we only took the one car. Since gas prices here are 2.07 a gallon. He dropped me off at WalMart and went to his appointment and then came back to finish up the shopping with me. I got the free quatro4 razon that was in the Sunday paper. And 2 free Scrubbing Bubbles toilet cleaner starter kits that I singed up for sometime ago. They sent me two instead of the one I signed up for. Now I have one for each bathroom. That was a savings of 19.45 before taxes.
One more week of school and the kids are out for the summer. DH goes back to school on June 7.

we got 31 lbs of strawberries picked in under an hour. wow. then i took them to my moms and we began cutting them there. i put up a gal of whole, and 4pts of sliced today befor i left, but ill go back tommrow after we get up and get more. i plan to do up about 100 lbs of strawberries this summer. moms paying for most of it, if you pick your own, its .90 a lb. so i picked ours. she cant since shes on the road. plus i get to use the extra deep freezer she has at the house, in our garage since she never uses the one outside. i can put what i want in that one, and keep the one i have here full too. that can save alot of money if i play it right. i have to be there anyway most days for feeding my horses.

other than that, we plan to go to the races and watch my bil and a friend race the track in late modle stock cars. so ill talk at you all later.
have a good night.

non-frugal for me was running my air conditioner for the first time this year but it was 88 out and the humidity was 90% so I had to.
Frugal was going grocerey shoping for the first time this month. My total for 95 items was $248.86 (this included pet food, paper products & everything not just food) but after coupons and my hubby's discount (he works at Wal-mart) my total was $132.88. That is for 4 people and 1 kitten for hopefully 3 weeks.
Tomorrow we will go to the weekly stock car races at our local dirt track and watch several of our friends race. We don't go everyweek like we used to but try and go once a month a least. It's cheaper than it used to be now that our kids all are old enough that if they go they pay for themselves. So it's just my hubby and me.

Joesbaby-

Join our coupon club here at Coupon's Alholics. It's totally free, just contact Autumnmum I think we now have 146 members.

The storm driving home from work last night was wicked and very scary. Dh and I drove seperately yesterday so I had to drive home myself through flooding water, lightening, rain and hail... dh said I made it home in record time! That's the first time I've ever been out driving myself in those kind of conditions.

Frugal today is taking our pop cans to the recycle center, we got a coupon from them the last time 5 cents extra per lb. then it's off to the grocery store, and the Hobby Lobby for more supplies for my blue jean purses. I took some to my sister last night as she hadn't seen them, she loved them and plans to take them to her job today to let her co workers see them which will hopefully be more sales

Well I'm off to do chores. See you a little later.

Anna

Frugal today is going to GS's (god son) birthday party. I didn't get b-day gift at dollar store but got paper and card. Got him big boy underware (potty training now) and Hi Ho the Cherry-o game. He has everything so it's hard to buy for him.

Anyway his parents are having a bar b que so I won't have to cook.

Only thing frugal this week was working and packing and moving boxes to storage.

Have a good week-end everyone.

Yesterday my computer went off and on by itself but worked fine afterwards. Last night my surge protector blew out completely. I had bought it back in Dec.2000 and still had the receipt. Took a chance went back to the store where I had bought it, had a lifetime waranty. They were no longer selling that brand but gave me credit for it. Was able to get a better one with more protection for the same price. Always pays to save receipts no matter how long ago you had bought it.
Glad nothing happen to my computer everything seems fine.
