Margaret - nope, she still owes him 27,000. She's paid him about $1 a week, but Ken has billed her more than she's paid some weeks.

Ken did bring me home some things from the Albertsons sale.

Carol...that is so sad..Maybe he should go to the Labor board or small claims court ..There must be some agency that could make her pay up....
Congratulations bar_bar on your Chef's guy...Did I miss it or did you just get it..(saw your credit on Time to Eat)?
Stayed home today and did the little chores I have been putting off..so nothing frugal here...

Well...went walking today...it was a nice day for it

and then went to the grocery store. They had a bag of salad-(which I normally don't buy but it was cheaper than the regular lettuce)-and some roma tomatoes for $1 each.

Sorry to hear some aren't well but I hear the good news too, my thoughts are with those who need them.

Thanks for the info on Aldis, in AU$ you can basically double the price from the US to here, and we do kilograms instead of lbs, litres instead of gallons, but it's nice to know that the bargains are there.
I must admit that some of our homebrands in stores aren't always that tasty (?) but some products you can't tell the difference except in the total bill.

Meat I always start of with little bits of each cut to see how they grade and select it.

I'm looking forward to it now.

lorimae...my ebay name is hale723. i dont have anything going right now. but i plan to start the auctions next week or the week after. all i did today was make up my thank you notes, and figure out how i want to sell them. however, i dont think i figured much out that way. probly in small lots that would be easier.

only other thing we did was empty trash barrels. thats about all.

have a good day.

Autumnmom - great savings on the soup, the "soup Kitchen" will really appreciate it. That was so nice of your checkout boy also.

Frugal here was staying home for dinner instead of going to the fish fry. We had onion soup, with cheese and bread. Also turned down the thermostat.

My goodness you all were busy after I left work today. Bilby glad to see you pop back in.

Boggz, we miss you. Hope everything is going o.k. pm me if you'd like.

Not much frugal tonight. Remilled more coffee soap, this time added just regular coffee with distilled water to the batch, should be ready by Monday.

I forget who mentioned it now but I totally agree about Aldi's ground coffee, it is rank! YUCK, Phoey! Blah!
Their coffee cream (powdered) is good though. Bilby, I am so glad you share the differences between our country with us and share your life... it opens doors to most of us about life in other countries.

Here's a interesting note: I was talking to my sister today, her sil and bil are moving to Alaska in 6 weeks. My sister says people in Alaska get paid 1900.00 a year just to live there. she was laughing she said I don't want to live somewhere where they pay you to live there LOL. A co worker said it's some time of tax incentive thing, he thought. My sister also said she wouldn't live there because of the bears and being dark half the year.

Emmjean - thanks for the magazine link. I signed up. I love that magazine!

OSI - I don't think I would like to live in Alaska due to the cold but I would love to visit as I have heard it is beautiful!
