ok..this week we are broke..not just..low on funds..but...BROKE! so this is what ive done frugal since wendsday..
washed a lg basket of laundry in the tub, and wrung out. i have the change to dry it tho since i dont have a clothes line. wish i did tho.
went to grocery store, got gal of milk, doz eggs and bread. plus a 6 pk tp. total spent..4. 55.
no unneccessary trips to town.
put up the check book to see if i can go about not bouncing a check without any money.
cancled my crdit cards. this was a stupid thing i got. i got a small crdit line to help build my credit. i never missed ormade a late payment. not a lg blance or anything. the bank tells me it cant loan me the money for fixing the trailer since i have them. the whole reason to have them was to buid the credit. plus they tackedon a new 100 fee that putme over my limit..so i got nailed with a 30 over limitfee.they said they would credit me the money since i wasnt notified..but i still wanted to cancle.they tried to talk me out of it for 20 minuts.. b ut i still cancled. and then they gave me 89 days to reinstate my cards at my presnt 9% rate.
also have been loading things into the palm like mad. i love using it. i have made lists of the things i need to pay..and canmove it all around. it has a program for checking things off so if i dont..they roll over to the next day. i like that i have a calender for whatever i need even next year..( made my dr apt the other day..its in june next year..if i had to write that down..id forget it.or looseit..) so im having alot of fun i can also read after joe goes tobed..without bothering him since i have like 20 books loaded into a card to read. so i think this could be great..once i figure out how to maximaize its functions...but im sure having fun now..
other than that stuff..not much going on...have to run back to twon today to get the last pages faxed to modest needs..they are suposed to bring out my other trailer on monday. that way its out here..i can work on it with joe when he gets home from work, and move things ..bit by bit to it..the big things..then we can startr to get it ready to sit in this spot. by the weekend we plan to do that..( 3 weeekends from now on his next weekend off) i should only have to hook it up..and we can have the furniature..an things already set up. most of it is in storage anyway. then the rest..selling it off. im not taking all this stuff with me..and with this trailer being storage i can go thru it all at my lesiure..and price it for ebay..or for rummage sale. thats gonna be alot of help. have a good day everyone.
1 can tomato paste (I used 6 oz.) cost .29 cents
4 6 oz. cans water
Mix paste and water, you now have 30 oz. of tomato juice for .29 cents and very low sodium. I added a tiny touch of salt to my cup and it tasted just as good as store bought ( generic 1 quart 1.19). Next time I'm going to try the nutritional yeast and see how it taste.
I love tomato juice but the sodium count is way too high with my high blood pressure
Another benefit: Lots more storage space.

Ok as most of you know iv been looking for dd a house dog preferable an adult done trained WELL I found one well she found me my sil's sister knows these people that have the dog its a pug 7yrs old well manered and great with kids the couple who had the dog have past away and there children wanted to put her to sleep but my friend told them she would find the dog a good home so she called thismorning and we go pick her up thisevening dd is so excited. Does anyone know any thing about this type of dog? SO that was my frugal thing not haveing to pay for a dog which i was going to do.
Karen--we had a pug when I was a kid. He was registered and we got him free too. He had belonged to my Aunt (Uncle married her). Uncle hated hime so she gave him to us. Pugs are very good dogs, on the small side. The ONLY drawback to a pug is 2 things:
They snore a LOT and they, well, they stink. As in pass gas a lot. Our dog (registered name was. Mr. Pug Satchmo) always seemed to hold it in until we were all in the car--closed up in the winter to really blast loose. Mr. Pug also tended to tear things up when his feelings were hurt--such as when he didn't get to go bye-bye with us.
ANOTHER great pet--we once had a daschund. His registered name was Alpo Von Klink--I kid you not. The dad owner was a truck driver and was hauling Alpo dog food when they got him. He was also given to us. Friends owned him but he was bored during the day and chewed up 2 vinyl floors so they gave him to us. We had cats for company and he never chewed up the floors. Chewed up my dad's shoes but no floors.
Enjoy the doggie! I get to go see my new granddog tonight. Can't recall is I listed it here or on WFD? thread but middle dd was given a full blood ****er spaniel yesterday. He's going to be company for her Jack Russell. (She's fixed, he will be soon. Has an appointment already. )

Quote-"I've been there once on our way to Windsor and not to offend anyone but that sure was one dirty city. A hooker tried to pick up dh at the Wendy's while I was in getting a cup of coffee, dh was in a big hurry to get out of there>"-OSI
I'm not offended, I agree it is VERY DIRTY! I remember seeing some suburbanites come to Detroit to clean up an area and people were tossing their trash out right in front of them. People just throw garbage out on the streets, everywhere. It's pretty bad! When dd and I first moved to Tennessee from Detroit, dd was used to just throwing wrappers or pop bottles on the ground, it took a while for me to get her out of that habit and put it in a garbage can. To this day I still have to tell her not to throw stuff on the ground! In Tennessee, if a police officer catches you throwing something on the ground, you go off to jail! I've seen it happen!
When dd was a baby in Detroit, she held her hands up for a prostitute to pick her up while we walked home. The prostitute picked her up! I almost fell over, but I asked her politely to give me dd back and she did. LORD HAVE MERCY!!! There are some nice areas in Detroit, but the majority of it is awful. Abandoned buildings, abandoned business/factories. I went back 4 yrs ago and I was shocked at how dirty it was and I was born and raised there-LOL! They need to stop trying to fix up downtown and start knocking down those abandoned buildings, start putting garbage cans on every street, and start trying to change the habits of the people to stop their self-destructive behaviors.
Well, this morning I got up and had to get some change so dd can have popcorn and pickles for .50 cents today at school for movie day at school. Then I got a stamp and mailed off a letter and got dd's new medicine, all not far from eachother and then had to go to Walmart for tire service.
Buying my tires at Walmart was the smartest thing I ever did! I almost bought my tires at a Private Goodyear dealer, but I'm glad that I did it at Walmart because I can go to any Walmart in the country and have service for free for the life of my tires. My tires were low so I took them to get them looked at. They didn't find anything but if it's low again they'll replace the tire stem for free. My tires aren't even 5 months old and I hope they last me a good while. I need to go get all the fluids changed soon.
While I was there, I got a few extra items that wasn't very frugal but dd will like. I got her the frozen mini pancakes that come with the syrup packs. This will be a good in dd's lunches and can make a cute breakfast or dinner. I got mini bagels too since my cat's helped themselves to my other pack of bagels. I finally found the mini ones! I got her some mini drinks-4 for $1. Some milk which was much cheaper than the convience stores and a soda for me while I waited.
Other than picking dd up at 2:00 from school-(they get out early on Fridays)-we're not going any where for the entire weekend! Next week is full of doctors appt's etc so will just relax while I can.
nagymom, Iv heard about there stinkers I havent told dh that part yet we'll let it be a surprise. Im waiting now on the lady to call so i can go meet her and pick her up .
I had a ****er spanial and still do someweekend ds and dil have her thay just love her as do I put she was a really high matnence dog but we still see her all the time and my gds love her.
Something I've heard about Pugs is their little faces get dried out easily and you must moisterize them often. they sure are cute little guys. My neighbor has one and a lady I used to work with had 2.
