I couldnt've said it better. I feel like this is a way to remember their lives as well. I know right after it happened alot of people were acting like nothing happened and that bothered me. The world has completely changed and I wish that no one forget the lives that were lost that day.

Ya'll have a good night. I hope my dd doesn't wake up at 4 a.m. again!

Rememberng 9-11

I too will be listening in remembrance today. I think most Americans and other countries who love America will be watching as well. I will never forget the countries who emailed my company with their sympathies in the days following 911. That meant alot to me.

Frugal last night was making my dinner at home. I precooked yesterday morning rice and frozen veggies in the microwave and thawed out chicken and fish (marinated in homemade Italian dressing overnight). dh had fish over rice and veggies, I had a salad and chicken sandwich. Did a load of dark clothes and hung out to dry this morning. Not too much other than that except worked on getting pages in plastic sheets for my sister's cookbooks that I'm giving for Christmas. Besides recipes I've also included homemade cleaning solution recipes and frugal tips from some of the web sites.

Today is my sil birthday. so we go over there after work to give her her gift. i got her a set of rollarskate tennis shoes as a joke. because as a cna she needs them to race up and down the hall. but for real is another pair of roper boots for riding.

frugal for today is to og to town, to a friends and use his fax machine to fax off information for modestneeds to get what they need so i can get the help to move my trailer. that will probly be about all, i dont feel so good. so ill probly spend the rest of the day in bed. hiding out so my headache dont turn to a migraine.
we have to go to my daughters open house tonight too. so i want to be able to talk to the teachers then.

have a good day everyone.

"News from H*LL"

nagymom-

Our local radio station has a morning news bulletin titled as above, and they had your newspaper article featured on there. Food Lion was quoted as saying "They do not accept bills over $100.00. OOPS!

Today, I have to use up a few things

I have sour cream I still need to use up, applesauce, and sliced apples. I am going to make a applesauce nut bread, sour cream pound cake and still need to figure out what to do what to do with the apples. Other than that, I'm not doing much but watching the 9-11 specials. Today is a pretty no-fuss day.

I went to the county fair with middle dd and all 3 dgks last night (dh and oldes dd were working) and had a great tiem though NOT frugal. YIKES. SO glad we took the 2 1/2 yo though--what a delightful time. (Until last 20 minutes when he was HUNGRY and over stimulated).

Today went with middle dd to adopt a new dog--a full blood ****er spaniel as companion to her Jack Russell. She's very fortunate--BOTH dogs were given to her! Jackie the JR is lonely when dd works so she got her Coby as company. He's gorgeous and reminds us SO much of our spaniel who died 9 years ago. We still miss her terribly.

Afterwards stopped at Big Lots and got some stuff on clearance then Winn Dixie for milk and picked up a couple of clearance items there too. NOW I want a nap. Last night just did me in.

Last night ds and I walked to Cvs for diapers (their brand) as I am only buying the small packages in hopes of one day not needing anymore. While we there I decided to have a look around, all their summer stuff was 90% off. They had small coolers which we had talked about all summer of buying one, just for day trips. To make a long story longer it was 12.99 but with the sale I paid 1.29! Plus it also came with an extra quart bottle which will work for putting ice water in! I was very excited about that deal!
Have not watched much about the 9-11 services today but only because I have 4 little ones who I dont think need to see at this point in their lives. I saw a clip on the news (I was in kitchen kids eating in dining room) I had a moment. It was and is soooo sad, I will never forget sitting on the couch holding Evan who was only 4 months old at the time and crying....It was awful.

Leighann-

That was a super deal on the cooler!! Better than the one I bought used for $3.00. I have one of those with a handle and spout for draining bought at Target for 19.99 it's a Coleman. We love that thing, it's been so handy especially when we went on vacation in our truck. We would just pull it to the edge of truck, drain water and put more ice in it.

Nagymom- glad to hear you had a good time at the fair. We heard after ours was over this year, next year they are shortening it to 12 days this is our state fair. I am bummed.

Exclamation Frugalosioty/Frugalishious!

I was very frugal today!

By driving 45 minutes to Toledo, I saved over $90.00 in shipping on my children's school books!

A Beka charges10% shipping on their books. If you go to one of their book shows you don't have to pay the shipping. We went, we saved, we're happy!
