Havent gone anywhere except to work and back. Taking my lunch. Kids were out of school the other day cause of terrible wind blowing snow on roads makeing it 0 visibility. I baked bread and rolls. Im starting to cut out my pattern for my new bathrobe. Gosh, its been over 15 yrs since I sewed from a pattern, hope I remember.
Joesbaby - Gosh I hope your sil will be ok. Im thinking of her. Youre a good person. Hope your horse will be ok too. I know you care alot about them.
Songberries! OMG, wow, what a horrible thing. Glad it will be ok. But no suspect, shoot, that shooter is still out there. I pray for you family and for no one else to get hurt.
Carol,
How awful for you inlaws, glad they will be ok!
Frugal well dh called and wants to pick up subway, not frugal however he does have coupons! Then we are going to the mall so that I can walk for 20 minutes....I will do anything to go into labor!

Not much frugal, selling those sachets like hotcakes. Everyday I get orders for more, so I've been busy making them every night. Have almost paid for our trip to Bolek's last Saturday... so that's frugal.
Last night, dinner was every man for himself. Dh made leftover meatloaf with the green beans and bacon I made last weekend, there was just enough meatloaf left for one person. I made scrambled egg whites on toast for myself. 6 egg whites and 4 slices of toast, total calories = 462 plus margarine?

I’d Like To Help You Out.. Which Way Did You Come In?
Since we've been out of town since Tues., we've been very unfrugal.
The closest it gets to being frugal is eating our leftovers from the Olive Garden last night for supper (went there on Wed.) We will be eating other leftovers every night (except for Valentines - youngest DS's b-day) until we leave for LA Sunday [Abear - prepare for another hurricane ;-) ]
Will be thinking good thoughts for all those with family/friends who are ailing.
Weather good news! It's the middle of Feb., the days are getting longer and it's warming up some. Yeah!
Unfrugal: Had family pics taken the other night for church. Got the free 8 x 10 PLUS spent $200 on other photos!! Yikes! I do plan to save the kids' pics for next Christmas (so what if it's a long ways away--won't have to worry about having the pics taken then). We desperately needed a family pic-hadn't had one since our youngest (age 5) was born. So we ordered that too for our home.
I did manage to shave $79 off the price by reconfiguring my order after getting home, calling the company (Olan Mills) and undoing alot of the "extras" that the salesperson (snake) and put in. Things like a paper vs. canvas portrait, 8 x l0 vs. 11 x 14, removing hokey looking shading, etc.etc. What a scam! We had the kids there with us and a line of people a mile long--friends of ours--and I couldn't think straight when we ordering. Boy, did she slip a few by us--I had the feeling we were being scammed, but just couldn't scrutinize like I usually would, given the circumstances. Luckily--I called the next day before the order was even processed at the central company. The pictures looked pretty decent, I hope they turn out o.k.
Frugal today: making pizza dough for home pizzas tonight--with extra dough to freeze.
Frugal shopping: Walmart, etc. having lots of sales on women's clothing and winter boots--didn't seem to have winter hats, mitts on sale yet for kids, though. Plan to pick some up for next year as soon as that happens. Already have coats purchased from another store. Managed to pick up a plain black skirt for $7 and a lightweight sweater for $7. Also a spring/fall quilted jacket for oldest for $5. Oh-and a clearance priced hair dryer (for spare) for $8. Seems like those things always die on you when you need them most.
Kids' val. parties today, hubby and I going out to dinner tomorrow (UNfrugal, but he really wanted to go--twist my arm!).
I am so sorry to hear about everyones hardships. I will keep all of you in my prayers. It seems like it is all coming on at once.
My MOM is home. And on the mend.

Still no baby, guess a 20 minute walk didnt help! Oh well!

I need to mail a VERY large package. It's about 30X30X12 and fairly heavy....does anyone know if UPS is cheaper than Parcel Post (post office) for this?
Vj,
Glad to see you back, are you all moving to LA permantly or just checking the place out?
Also for anyone who likes Kohls they have some amazing clearance racks things for 1.00, 5.00, 7.00 if I thought I could of fit into anything I would have checked out more throughly! They had a lot of mens clothes for 10.00 and under but we skipped that as dh has been getting stuff lately! Didnt need anything else!
