LoriMae - I just whacked into the pumpkin, kind of cut down the side, scraped out the inards on that piece, then cut it into 2x3 inch cubes and I put it in my steamer. I had to do a lot of batches, but as each one cooled I cut of the rind. Then I ran it through the blender in batches. I'm thinking about borrowing my mil's hand held blender thing. I think it would be faster.

Yes Carol the winds are gusty, they keep flashing on the tv to be careful when driving keep both hands on the wheel espcially on overpasses. Were close to Lake Erie and dh said when he was driving this morning it looked like huge ocean waves crashing in!
Anna,
Will try to stop the bad weather going your way! The woman I am babysitting for today works for Chase the only reason her need to go into work today was the fact that a woman from the Columbus Chase drove in. You guys dont get nearly as bad as we do I remember when I worked there in the winter it was funny when the Columbus crew came in how shocked they were at the difference between Cleveland and Columbus. To think its only a 2 hr drive!
Barb,
I have to laugh you have me worried when my baby is born I think compared to your stories I have it easy with Evan. We do have an armoire for our tv videos and stero equipment so that was never an issue but all and all he doesnt get into things I never even had to child proof the cabinets he never bothered, never gets to close to the fireplace...Does leave his bed at around 4 or 5 almost every day but only to come running into ours. I just know the new baby is going to be a challenge to me! lol!!!
Carol Ann,
Happy birthday coupon lady!! Hope its a good one.

Sorry, Lee, I don't mean to frighten you! I have 2 Big Kids who were never as curious and persistent as this guy. He is really amazing. It has gotten to the point where we don't like to visit most people because it's so tough dealing with Luke. He can get over, under or around just about anything
I am trying to stay optimistic and think of him as intelligent and resourceful, but right now I am sore from moving furniture and just ready to pack it in!

I think it interesting that they will have a book like that in schools but my DS can not read Huckleberry Fin. He was sent to the princlples office to be lectured about bringing books from home. So DH and I had to go to school and talk with the principle.
Who posted the recipe with the cake mix and the can of pupmkin???? Was it plain pupmkin or the spiced kind. I want to make it this week end. Thank you.

barbszy ~ My sister used to tell me that her oldest DD (now 14 yo) used to climb even the book cases! Mine were never quite that adventuresome.

Vjumpstart, That is why you have FOUR! My house was/is a childproofing nightmare, so I almost literally hovered over my ds who sounds almost as busy as Luke. And I wonder why I never got anything done! We have baseboard heaters & I could always picture him falling onto one of the sharp corners! Among other things. He could still fall now, but I'm not as worried about it. (He is more stable on his feet, but can run faster.) Actually most of the corners are too close to furniture to fall on. Anyway. I sure don't plan to have any more babies. I'm still exhausted!

Hello everyone...

Frugal today was going to the pop machine outside of the grocery store and spending .75 cents for 3 pops...2 for me and 1 for dd's lunch. Also, packing my lunch as I have been doing all week...oh and having free potato salad at the Nursing Home. Whenever there's leftover food, the staff can eat it, so that was good...

The panel beater is the guy who fixes up the panels of your car, don't really know what your equal to that would be.
I'm truly embarrassed, I got in the car and reversed out and didn't check the auto roller door in the garage was up (only been here 7yrs) and I tore the spoiler/foil/fin on the boot off across my paintwork and also have a few dents and scratches that need beating out And to top it off the auto roller door needed to be replaced lucky for insurance it covered nearly all of the repair bill......... just so stupid!

I'm in shock I'd never even think some one would think of writting a book with the title of "Daddy killed Mummy" let alone some one buying and then to put it in schools. Scarey stuff. I thinkwatching the news is just scarey enough!!

MKS ~ I was a nervous wreck with my first (DS now 13 yo)! The second I was still very protective (DD now 7). By the time I had the third (DD now 5) and then fourth (DS now 3 3/4 - and don't for get the 3/4! ) I got to the point that I just went ..... "Oh, you're hurt?" Of course we HAD to put a "tickle kiss" (a.k.a a raspberry) on it (if it was minor). I have other moms act surprised at how nonchalant I am when my kids get a boo-boo.
