Hope your dd is feeling better soon! My dh best friend had a globe from his kitchen fall on his head, out of the clear white ceiling. He had to get stiches the poor guy. He called dh to take him to the hospital and wanted me to babysit his kids he was a single dad at the time. Isnt it strange how stuff like that happens.
Barb,
Good deal on the coupons what is Chick A Fil? Fast food? We dont have any of those around here.
I get to have a fun frugal night tonight, one of my friends mother won tickets to see a sneak preview of Love Actually the new one with Hugh Grant anyway my girlfriend is unable to go so her mom invited me! I get to get out of the house by myself, I am so excited!
Anna, you and dh are certaintly keeping yourselves busy these days! Do you ever read the magazine Home Companion mary Engelbreits? There was a good article in there for the Oct/Nov issue and some very crafty crafts. I get the magazine from the library it is a cute one for ideas. Although sometimes I think the homes they show are a bit cluttered for my taste. To much stuff! They are creative people though!
Carol,
I just read another mag about contacting companies for coupons your right if it doesnt take long to do why not!

Boggz-your welcome. This weekend if I can find time, I'm going to my thrift store and buying one of those old fashioned casserole warming plates, that way I can do about 6-8 candles at a time.

Joesbaby-thank you for providing the Christmas link, I was busy thinking o.k. where is it? :p

Lots of good ideas pouring in on that one.

Wheres Songberries this morning?

Anna

I'm making a denim skirt out of a pair of dd's jeans that are a little to short. It's like the kind of skirt they made in the 70's. I've got to go get some sewing machine needles before I can finish it, darn.

Anna - I've been busy reading all the posts I missed, I've only been getting on familycorner once a day lately. Thanks for askin!

I think I might go out to the fruit stands today and see if they have cabbage and squash left. I've been craving butternut squash with butter and brown sugar!

I just spent Luke's lunchtime emptying out my kitchen freezer, listing all I had in it and then putting it back. This will help me plan dinners through the end of the month. My goal is to have some space in the freezer come Thanksgiving. So I'm trying not to buy too much meat, rather to eat up what we have here. This will give me extra room in the food budget for Thanksgiving dinner when we have guests.

Ericka-

Don't be tempted by the store gifts in a jar, they aren't worth it. Here's a site that has them cheap, cheap, cheap. http://www.budget101.com/ Don't have time or the inclination to mix and meaure? Buy a box mix and put it in the jar, tie a ribbon around it and a cookie cutter or put in pancake mix from a box, put in a basket with a bottle of pancake syrup.

Also, no canning jars? use a mayonaise jar instead.

I'm officially an employee!!!

I will normally work Tuesday -Friday's, but next week I work M-Fri until they can get me M-Fri. She is letting me come in at 6:15 so I can drop off dd, everything is working out. I am so happy. Though I won't be making as much as I hope because I'll be 30 hrs instead of 40-(can't work weekends)-I'm still happy!!! Very happy!!!
