Vjumpstart - wow, it sounds like you've had a busy week! What you need is some time for yourself! I bet your kids had a wonderful time, the fair, rides, animals and seeing their grandma. Lots of good memories for them.

Carol -

That's just what I did from Thrus. after lunch until about 4:00 today! As far as having some time to myself...... Ha! My dh is in Germany until the 27th of Sept. There is no such thing as alone time right now! I can't wait for him to get home so I can have some alone time. Both by my self and with him. You get the picture I'm sure.

YUM! Although not frugal, I love Applebee's and Cracker Barrel, although I've only had breakfast at Cracker Barrel.

I forgot to say that it's so nice to hear of a dad and son working together on a project. You don't find that much anymore.

We were not frugal yesterday. We took my Mom to the Olive Garden. She had never been there and DH loves letting her try new places to eat. They sure do have yummy food. Then we took the kids to the drive-in. They had such a fun day so I guess it was worth it.

Georgieanna - yup, I'm really glad dh and ds found something they can do together. They were out there until late last night.

I'm going to make bread today, I need to give some to a friend. I'm also hoping to finish reading a library book today, that's frugal!

Made

Vanilla Pudding and Applesauce Nut Bread this morning. Going to make some chicken cup meals for dd's lunches. Placing them in the freezer so I can just pop them out.

Going to grocery store to grab some more eggs...can get large eggs for .89 cents. Going to grab these new Delmonte Fruit cups for dd for .99 cents...maybe see if they have any cornstarch that's cheap, if not. Won't get right now.

Got to wash up clothes and get ready for dd's birthday. I saved the colorful comic strips from the Sunday Paper for dd's bday gift.

Going to take the Feral Kittens to the Shelter so they can hopefully be tamed and find a home. It's frugal for me...sad to say...because I can concentrate on feeding my 4 domesticated cats/kittens. At least I didn't let them die and I'm taking them to someone who can care for them better than I.

Oh, we finally got a Walmart sales paper in our Sunday Paper. Maybe this week I can go get another cordless phone since I had to take the other back. It's on sale for $13, just a few cents more than the last time it was on sale. But, I am sick of being tied to the wall via the phone, so a few pennies more will be worth it!
