Jasmine has surgery tomorrow morning. We got some groceries and came home. Will go back .. have to be there at 8:30 am. Pray the doctor can save the ovaries. And that the ovaries will be healthy!

I am beyond tired. I was awake at 3 am. Silly me.. I remembered something dh did when we were dating and it makes sense now, thirty years later. I guess I am processing stuff differently now.

I was able to buy a sprinkler at Tractor Supply when I bought dog food. Ours broke last year.

Dd asked dh to lower the seat on his bike so she could ride it. He put the bike way back in the shed where no one can get to it. I told dd I would buy her a bike. She just wanted to see if her knees could handle riding a bike. I do have another bike I bought for a yard decor I can see about getting it fixed so the kids can ride it. Really the kids don't ask for much. I don't know if I should say anything to dh or not.

JACKI - sounds like you have been mighty busy with the kids back home. That's a good thing - I'm sure. When is your eye surgery - next week?

CONNIE - prayers for jasmine, the doctor and everyone involved. Please keep us informed. Hugs to her.

NORMA - have an envie going in the mail tomorrow

Got the front and side grass mowed and trimmed. Worked on the big flower bed out back.
Dinner was beef/onions/mushrooms/bell peppers cooked together with some mashed potatoes. Also have fresh cukes and tomato. Dishes are done.

I watered the pots out back. My cukes and squash seeds I planted Sat. are popping through!
I went out in the alley to the neighbors back fence and VERY CAREFULLY with clippers I cut the main stems of some poison ivy that was taller than me!!!! There was about 8 plants of it. I just don't understand how lazy some people can be. I didn't touch it - it's still in the fence - just cut.
I then came in a washed thoroughly anyway with black soap and cold water. Removed clothes and changed.

I made a bowl of sf pudding for dh to snack on.
I got all the coupons cut - now I need to work on my coupon book.

Have a wonderful evening.

Good evening all!!

Cau, it is really sad about your dh's sister. Glad you were able to get all your running around done though.

Charlotte, sounds like you had a great plan in mind with that leftover beef. It is much cooler today, than yesterday, and warm soup sounds good. Happy to hear that Stephanie is able to transfer from one Domino's to another.

Anna, I would have put some vinegar and baking soda on those spots, an I bet they would come up quickly.

I happen to love forsythia. I have a whole row of it as a living fence across my back yard. I like how they grow because their branches are like ballerina arms and to me, sway gracefully in the wind. But to each their own, and I don't think they are for everyone. I have a cousin that boxes them out like a boxwood hedge. I think he needs a different plant there.

Cheryl, you are the reason your city is so frugal. Anna is the reason her city is ahead of you. And I know I am the sole reason Egg Harbor City is as frugal as it is.

Jacki, it is nice when there is a cool breeze, and the windows can be open.
Good going on getting some things organized.

Connie, will keep Jasmine in my prayers tomorrow. You both need to get some rest this evening.

I stopped at my sister's on the way home and brought back her recycling can to my house. Her neighbors bought her new bigger ones on wheels that she is able to pull out to the curb, instead of not being able to get the garbage out, or carrying the recycling to the curb.

I also took her an article from the paper today advertising lots of cars on sale for $995 this coming Saturday at the Hyundai dealership. My nephew really needs a car, so I am hoping he might go and see if this is for him.

A endocronologist I had seen when I thought that I might have diabetes is under suspicion of killing his wife last week. My friend Roe had been to him before she moved to AZ. I had one of my other friends get in touch with her today, and tell her about the situation so she could make a good decision about getting her records, if she had not had them transferred to her new drs in AZ.

The people selling the house across the alley stopped by. He said they still have to replace the bathroom floor because the mortgage company is making a big stink about it. Even though the new owners plan to replace the entire bathroom. Hopefully settlement will be May 30th. I am so looking forward to having some neighbors there.

And that is about it from here. Dinner was leftover chicken tenders from buying lunch today. I just put some more pineapple in the freezer for ice milk. Made another pitcher of iced tea. Now I need to go and get the dinner dishes taken care of, and then do some crocheting.

Take care all!! Norma

Cau that is so sad about your sister in law.

Rest is not on the agenda tonight. I am pushing ds to finish some school work. He has until midnight.

I told Gregg to make dinner. I should have asked him nicely but he has already been snotty to me.

DH had his disability hearing this afternoon went well the Medical Expert said he could not work, the Vocational Expert said he could not work......... so now we wait for the Judge to make a ruling. Will get the results in the mail up to 90 days from now, grrrrr if he is denigned we can appeal it.

Rushed home, dropped DH off he was dieing from the car trip, bad waiting room seats, and a 60 min hearing, car trip home. Ran to get the kids from Grandma's, went to the HS where dd1 was reinstalled as a Key Club officer. Ate pizza, chips & pop after as was forced to take a pizza home with us by my 4th grade teacher (one of the advisors), the open chips & 2 liter.

Second night in a row we ate elsewhere and only 1/3 of the expected people showed up so had food placed in my arms. Last night brought home 4 hamburgers, 4 hotdogs, 2 large containers of homemade mac&cheese.

Tomorrow night is the Taste of the Arts festival downtown, will eat at home and munch on samples while listening to music.

Good morning all!!

Roberta, blessings in disguise, is what I would have considered the food.
Yay that your dh's hearing was positive for him. Sorry he had such a difficult trip though. Yay on your dd's Key Club position. That is a nice honor, and will look good on her application to colleges.

Connie will keep you and Jasmine in my prayers for her surgery today. Please keep us advised.

Not a lot going on this morning. Asha "yakked" on the couch, so I cleaned that up, have fed her, am ready to get some breakfast, and get ready to get out the door.

Am trying to get a group together to do "something" tomorrow, but having problems getting the one gal onboard. So it might just be the two of us. I had suggestions of thrift shopping, a movie or the zoo with lunch out.

I sat last nigh and put a black round on quite a few of the crochet squares. Nice night for doing that.

Ladies, better go for now. Take care all, and TGIF!!! Norma

Connie will pray for Jasmine's surgery today.

Norma good luck with getting a group together to do something.

Stephanie works 5 to 8 tonight and Saturday night.

Annie yes we will see pizza this summer I am sure. Dh loves Domino's Pizza. Steph said she gets 1/2 off if she orders it.

Steph and I made peanut butter and jelly cupcakes last night. They turned out wonderful. Heading to work shortly. Boss is out today. So that will be nice. I have the dishwasher going on no heat dry.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone.

That's awesome on the pizza savings!!

Getting ready to head out this morning after doing some online shopping for dh. He needed new tennis shoes which we have been buying directly from Reebok. He has to have high top shoes which are impossible to find and in big sizes. Last week they had his shoes, this week they are now only offerring up to size 10??? We've been ordering from them for several years. We found them on Amazon.com sheesh! What a hassle. Then Walmarts keeps listing big mens boxers in his size, go to place the order and it says "Out of Stock", I've been checking on these for several months same deal. So had to do alot of searching and found them at Sears, not cheap at all! but I do have a rewards card there and with the amount spent, got free shipping and a small discount, wahoo! A penny saved is a penny earned I guess.

I still need to get him some pocket tshirts, am going to Wally World first before ordering those online.

All the purchases are being paid for out of his overtime check from last week.

I was thankful for the extra food. I was joking to DH that when your 4th grade teacher tells you to do something you do it. Doesn't matter how long ago it was. My Mom gets upset with dd1 because she calls her by her first name and not Mrs.... I was telling her that last night and she said "well I'm not in authority anymore that's why I'm not Mrs... but call me that to Grandma to make her happy" LOL.

I have one of the Sears/Kmart rewards cards too Anna. Every purchase I tell them to use any rewards as I don't shop there often and they points expire so I'll use the $.25 or more as we earn them.

Stocking up on extra clothing with the extra money is smart Anna. Might need to buy 2 pairs of shoes now since you found them.
