Did my Turbo Tax income tax today, and of course we aren't getting a refund. Well, I get $120.00 back, but dh has to pay around $300.00, never rains but it pours for us lately. Boy do we need a miracle, LOL. Going to have my dd look it over next weekend when she picks up her new car, and see if she can find an error, so that we will get a refund
OK I tried so long to get on here, and got so flustered I forgot what everyone said. Sorry.
TODAY - I went to the library. Stopped at Kroger and got more cat food on sale and with coupons. Sale ends today.
Stopped at Big Lots - looking for new cushions for the front glider. Found nothing.
Stopped at K-Mart and looked too. They are all dull and drab looking. I want something very bright and pretty.
I did buy dh and myself new undies at KM. Geesh they are expensive! They should be made of gold. LOL
Did 2 loads of laundry and line dried. All meals from home.
My forsythia is about to pop open. It's covered with buds. I saw a Magnolia tree today that is about ready to open. It's a huge tree and should be beautiful.
I have weeds growing everywhere, and the grass is about ready to cut!!! Oh my.
It is 81 right now, sunny and soft breeze. All windows open and ceiling fans on. It's 79 in here!
We have chances of rain off and on for the next 3 days, but still very warm temps.
I hope that powder continues to work for you, especially since you like the smell. That is also my sister's favorite. I get her the deodorants whenever I see them on sale too.
Chris, was there nothing in clearance that had a draw for you? It is a shame to not be able to use that coupon.
Roberta, as soon as that money hits the card, I know you will be able to shop very diligently and get the most for that money. Read your CVS Purex deal - way to go. I like Purex, and Ajax, and the Extra brands.
JoAnne, I need the same miracle, not because of vet bills, just bills in general. Hope you get yours soon.
Roberta, $2 lb is a good price for most meat. Chicken breast goes on sale regularly for $1.99 lb, saw it for $2 lb. at one of the stores this coming week. And all the rest are also way over $2 lb here in NJ.
Cheryl, over the weekend I sent you an e-mail. Did you not get it? Please let me know.
Today was a lighter day at work. I feel like I am catching up again. The phones are still really busy, and inquiries about 1000 yards of one fabric are not a big deal at this point. And they are turning into orders.
I am glad it is spa night too. It was up to 77* today here, and felt it for sure.
Ladies, better go for now. I am going to break stride and get the dishes done this evening and then settle down with the afghan I am making.
NORMA - No I did not. I went back and double checked. Even looked at ones dh put in trash. Thought maybe he wouldn't know who it was from.
PLEASE try again.
Last Night on Preppers there was a guy who had home canned food and many jars of juices that were 25 years old. He opened some and said they tasted perfect. Sure made me think.
I have always heard things are fine for a loooong time after dates. I guess things stay good longer than we think. I would think taste would change some, but I guess if you're hungry it would be fine!!
Just thought I'd mention it.
Cheryl, I was unable to get on a couple FC forums a few hours ago also so I just turned it off and tried now and was able to get right on. I've had this happen before when they were working on things. You mentioned your forsythia was about to bloom, mine has been for 2 weeks now. Have blooms on the plum tree also. It's a little after 6pm here and dh is outside working with the guy on the tractor. Late dinner again.
Tomorrow I have those heart tests in the city and dh came home and informed me he took the day off to take me. How nice. He asked me about it last night and I told him I would be fine but I am pleased he was concerned enough to go. Mainly it's my decreasing eyesight that bothers me about the driving especially when I don't know an area.
Chris, good job on not spending money needlessly.
Norma, yeah on the hour of OT. The puppy crochet pattern sounds cute. Have you ordered that afghan kit yet you wanted?
JoAnne, sorry to hear you guys aren't getting a tax refund, bummer.
My Mary Maxim catalogue came yesterday, and oh how I wish I could figure out crocheting. I did do it when the girls were small, made them matching capes that were in fashion in the 70's. I need to sit down with my crochet book and persevere at it. There are so many cute things you can crochet, that you cannot knit.
Jacki, it is a bummer. We have paid stinkin income tax for many many years now, i sure wish we could get a break. There was one year we had the taxes done by a cpa that we knew, and he had us paying $5,000.00 back!! When i questioned him, he had forgot to take deductions off, that ended up us only having to pay $500.00, that was when we were property managers and had a home office, etc.
Will be thinking about you tomorrow, and hope that the heart tests go really well,
good
I can't remember if I posted but I did go to Lowes and bought a cpl. of those Food Grade buckets and the lids. The lids actually have sealable rings inside them, bad thing is once you break that seal the lid is no good anymore.
I also bought a 2 cubic foot bag of gardening soil.. I hope to find time tommorow to plant some seeds outside in my storage tub containers and cover with the new dirt. For sure I am planting bell peppers in one and hoping they do better in the front yard than they do in the back yard.
Take Care My Friends.
Anna
