DD2 came home from school and took an hour nap, didn't want to play outside..... ut oh she is coming down with something was running a low temp and coughing so dosed her with medicine and sent her to bed after dinner which she ate about 4 bites of.
I've finished killing off a box of 7500 labels in under 6 months, geez good thing I 'won' a box from my Avon manager in a contest. chuckle this is why DH says I should be glad to get three years from a printer.
The sleeping/tingling feeling is almost gone from my finger and only have probably 10% swelling yet so all in all doing well. I do have a hard lump on the side of the first joint so will keep an eye on it and if it doesn't go away in a couple of weeks I'll go back to the doctor to have it checked out.

Hi Train, glad to hear from you, when ever you come on.
Went to the commissary and did very well. DH put a $17.?? marinated beef brisket in the basket when I was not looking. I don't spend that much on one piece of meat unless it is a holiday. I don't even eat beef!
Granddaughter just got home, from Southern Miss. She will be home for the weekend. We sure do miss her when she is gone.

WOW!! I don't spend that much either on one piece of meat. Even my 22 pounder turkeys are never even close to that much. So since you don't like beef guess he will eat the bulk of it well with the GDau to help him huh?
I was in bed but could not sleep so here I sit for awhile anyway.
No $$ spent today so that made me happy. I did send off a check but it is money well spent.
More mails to check good nite to who all might be up reading this

Just you and me Pag36, and I am going to bed in a few minutes.
GD will be going back to school before DH gets the "Golden Beef" on the table Sunday evening. He will have help eating it as DS#2 & DS#3, daughter-in-law and DD will be here. We always have Sunday dinner here together.
I don't eat beef or pork because my stomach can't tollerate it. I had weight loss surgery 15 years ago and I have a very touchy stomach. Nothing with acid goes down and stays down. Citrus, spicy foods, tomatoes and tomato sauce just about kill me. Yes, I miss being ableto eat them but being a size 16 is better than a size 26 1/2 anyday. Being 5'9 1/2" tall makes a size 16 good to me. I may soon be in a size 14, if I stay out of the holliday candy, lol.
Good Night

Roberta, I hope whatever bug has your dd that she kicks it super quick. I had to chuckle, you go thru labels as fast as I go thru TP!
Last night I was just tired, I lay on the couch and dozed from about 9 to 11 then when Rachel got home I went to bed and slept pretty much thru the night. I feel a lot better, have some kind of sinus gunk but other than that I'm good.
My house is a wreck and that's not an exaggeration. I know what I'll be doing today! It's okay, I'm happy to be home to "bless" my house.
My frugals tonight will be walking to trick or treat then over to Mom's to visit then, if it's not too soggy, to the bonfire.
Not frugal is I have to go buy the license tag for Rachel's car, ugh.
I did stop at mom's yesterday after work, brought her 6 yellow roses, baby's breath and fern, picked it up at Aldi. Just a thank you for helping while I was gone last week and for what she is doing for Danny. He was there, I leaned over to put my cheek on his shoulder and he leaned into me! We talked, I asked him how the job hunt was coming and then when I left I went and kissed his cheek, he kissed me back. Progress.
I need to get off of here and begin my day. Have a great day all. I'm sure I'll be checking in!
You never know, just might wake up one morning and feel like pinching yourself. Maybe your life is really better than you thought. With all the opportunities around us, and to change what we don't like, It's not all that bad after all.~Alan Cohen
Not frugal yesterday was dh and I ate out 2 meals. We don't do that very often. This doesn't help my diet thou.
Dh and I went to Kohl's last night. We both need clothes and shoes desperately. All his jeans have holes in the crotch. Sense I have lost weight my dress pants and shirts are so big. My boss even said something to me a few days ago about the clothes being noticably to big. So dh got 2 pair of jeans and hiking boots. I got 1 pair of dress pants, 2 sweaters and 1 pair of dress shoes. We saved $163.81 between the sales and my 20% discount card I recieved from Kohl's for this weekend. We saved more then we spent.
I do have some new pants I bought at Ross a few months ago. I need sweaters to go with them. One pair needs hemmed. So I guess I will fix them this week. Now it is time to go thru the closet and get rid of the clothes that are to BIG!!!
I will do my grocery shopping and the farmers market today. We don't get any tricker treaters out where we live. Unless you want to give treats to the deer!!
Finishing up the laundry. I am finished up with redecorating dd #1's room. I can't wait to she comes home over Thanksgiving and sees it. I finished putting up the new stuff in the hallway bathroom.
Have a nice day
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Thriving
Just as a seed contains all it needs to sprout, so are you already equipped to thrive.
Good morning all, we don't Trick or Treaters here either. So don't have to buy candy. Steven will come over here if he goes and maybe Chelsea will bring her little one over here but as to regular ones like other areas nope. Had plenty over at Wharf Row, Redbud Lane and Don Juan Cr so really missed it when I moved here and found out none come.
Hope I don't go anywhere today so will stay frugal. I hurt my left big toe and one next to when a can of beans fell on it yesterday afternoon and now tried to put bedroom shoe on and even tho' I was able to do it waves of nausea went thro' me so got it off QUICK, Something tells me will not be going to church tomorrow. Can't/Won/t go barefoot so home it will be

I just got home from grocery shopping. I did pretty good (not as good as Roberta, but good). I did 2 orders - on the 1st I paid $37.78 and saved $41.62 - that's better than 50% savings. On the second order I paid $51.13 and saved $44.36 - about 45% savings. Everything is put away, and other than fresh veggies, I won't need anything next week. But I see from the ads (most stores start their sales here on Sundays), that I will want to get some of the Van Kemps faux crab - down to $1.74 per pack. It freezes well, and I really like it.
Still stocking - dry cat food in 18 oz. pouches was $.89 after coupons, and I used some B1G1 Steamfresh meal coupons. They are supposed to serve 2, so I know I will need to add a salad for dinners and probably an apple for lunch. Still at $4.25 each after the coupons, I can't complain.
Patti, sorry you had trouble sleeping.
Joanne, that is nice weight loss. Glad you have been able to keep it off. I am with Patti, I don't buy any pieces of meat that expensive. Hope he really enjoys it, and the children also.
Charlotte, it feels good to "have" to buy new clothes because of weight loss. I now have 2 pair of jeans that are big from just that 9 lb. loss. But, I will be wearing them with shirts tucked in for bulk, and sweaters over them for awhile yet, and get some wear out of them. If, of course, they start falling down as I am walking, I will change my mind in a hurry.
Ladies, better go for now. I have chores that need to be done - laundry, soup making, etc.
There won't be any kids coming here this evening either - I am the only one on my block, and not on a corner. Most of them don't even know this house exists.
Happy Halloween everybody!
We don't get t & t's here either, we are just far enough out of town, but I used to get a kick out of the kids at the door and their costumes.
Dh made up chocolate mini bars bags for his 7 little passengers on the special needs bus. He said they were just thrilled. He did check to make sure no one had any allergies. Dd and dgd's were over the other night, so we gave them treat bags too, as they won't come out here tonight, they will be busy in their own neighbourhood. My gd is a prefect at her school and a member of Feed the Nation, and although she is 16, she and her girlfriends and committee members will be ttrick & treating for canned food. We gave her a Kraft dinner and 2 cans of beans to get her started. She is such an amazing young girl, who we just adore!
Frugal will be having hamburgers for dinner, we bbq all year around.
It is so windy here today that our hydro was off for an hour this morning, and there is all kinds of debris all over the place. It tore the tarps that were tied, off of our bicycles that were covered for the winter. Dh had to go hunting for it.
Enjoy this beautiful day, everyone
JoAnne

But Norma that is the style, run two steps pull up the pants run two steps pull up the pants LOL. I bought 4 bags of the Steamfresh meals a couple of weeks ago. I bought the Oriental one and it is spicy HOT even DH said it was hot. So now I know when I fix the other two bags I'll take out some of the orange seasoning frozen pellets.
