Connie I forget are you doing a consignment shop? Don't forget as the business owner you can have some Avon for sale at the store as well as taking brochure orders.

Patrice very pretty dress your daughter picked out.

Anna sounds like the votives need to be sold in boxes of 4 or 6 to get the warning & price lables on.

We have a quiet weekend nothing going on but church.

Yes, I will be selling Avon and have the brochures there too.

Leahsmom, she did a great job!

No one here has an alarm system. Maybe in the city 90 miles from here but not here.

Hope all turns out well with Mrs. T and hopefully now finding the UTI, they can get her issues fixed.

I made the chicken overnight instead of yesterday as it was such a busy day. I've been experimenting with my votives, apparently the manufacturer has done something different to them and they weren't burning right. I called the supplier yesterday and am to take in my 3 testers this coming week for them to look at what happened and thank God I did test them before selling to a consumer because they aren't safe with those wicks. I am trying one of my standard wicks this morning that I use for my soy candles and so far it's burning beautifully. It really irritates me that suppliers buy something and don't test it. Every time I buy new supplies I test it before selling it hence the reason I buy 5000 wicks at a time directly from the manufacturer, just dont' sell enough of the votives to warrant a big buy like that.

Dh is out filling up the car and taking a ride around town. I found my fishing line for the buckeye necklaces, don't know what my logic was but I had it in a no see through bag in another bag of crochet thread, LOL!

Nice looking dress and nicer looking gal. You must be very proud.
Everyone is so busy, I am impressed.
Just doing some extra laundry today, because I have switched out my summer clothes for some of my heavier sweat shirts, etc., and they all needed freshening up. Also doing dogs' bedding and blanket and one from the car as well. They can get pretty smelly!!, even tho the dogs are reasonably clean.
Frugal will be grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup for dinner.

I'm doing laundry today too so I can hang it on the line, chance of showers coming this week, yeah!

Went to dgs's soccer game this morning at 8am, the wind was blowing and it was quite cool. He scored a goal but they lost 2-1. They are improving though, they got blown out by this team a few weeks ago like 7-0 I think. Stopped at a local grocery store on the way home. I bought one of those Reynold's Handi Vac's for food last year, love it but now Ziploc has come out with one also and I'm having trouble finding the Reynold's Bags. This local store had them. All the stores seem to have the Ziploc vac bags. I bought some of those and you can get the Handi Vac to work with them but not that well.

Tomorrow is the day my dd1 and I are taking 3yo dgd to Disney on Ice, Princess Classics. I know she will love it. For her birthday she got 4 different dress up dresses, she will wear one of them tomorrow. She also got a 4 pk. of play dress up high heels so even though she always thought she was a princess now she can dress the part also. Dd wants to go a little early and do some winter clothes shopping for dgd.

Connie, good luck on your new business.

Anna, hope you are able to get back into the store you were in before for some more sales. Must be that window opening once a door closes thing since the resort will not be currently ordering. That was nice of you to do the meal plan and prices for your neighbor/friend.

Jamie, once I am done online I will be out there on the porch swing with my book and maybe a cup of tea also. Not mint for me though, I like black tea, English or Irish breakfast. Last week it was 100 deg. here, today at 10:30am it is 66 deg, what a change. The cashier at the store this morning said she had a fire in her fireplace this morning, I think it's a little early for that personally but she is really skinny and I am not LOL. I always try to hold out til Halloween for a fire but don't always make it.

Norma, I too hope Mrs. T will be okay. How did things go with your sister and lunch?

Roberta, how is your finger doing?

Lauri, any good deals when grocery shopping?

Jean, how are you feeling?

Leasmom, glad to see you back, I have been reading your blog.

Mish, how is your oldest dd doing these days?

Okay off to hang that laundry out and take some meat out to thaw for dinner. A few weeks ago they had those Hormel ready to serve meats (roast beef, pork roast, etc.) B1G1F and I had a coupon so I got 2 of the beef brisket. I'm going to use one for burritos tonight and see how that goes with spanish rice, think I got the recipe for that off FC. Oh by the way Anna, that KFC recipe I got from you came out really good except 12 minutes baking time was too long in my oven, will try 10 mins. next time but oh they were yummy biscuits.

Morning everyone!

Connie, I recommend LLC too, most of our clients at the law firm, business clients, use the LLC for businesses like yours.

Charlotte, hope you have a nice day at the college. Rach and I are going the first Monday in November to visit the college she's interested in, Fontbonne near St. Louis. She's so excited, as am I...the next leg in her journey of life is in the works!

I've just come in from mowing, have done my Dollar General shopping and also hit a yard sale and got myself 3 "new" tops for work or casual, a glass cake plate, candle, canister that matches my kitchen that now holds my tea bags. Also a 3/4 full bottle of hair conditioner for a quarter and a bottle of barely used perfume for a quarter. I do love a good yard sale!

I better get off here, get my work done. The ex husband is here and has the kids, all of them but Rachel, she is at a band competition. Going to enjoy coming and going as I please for the day, or till he brings the girls back.

Have a great day everyone!

Lisa

OSI, I remember when you first started making the candles and now you have your own store. That's amazing! Good job!!

And thanks everyone, I am proud and yes she has grown. She's only 13, just turned 13!

Frugal today and the other day was getting picture frames from the thrift stores for 50 cents each and from a yard sale today. I need frames because I will soon be showing my Primitive Folk Art paintings in shows and hopefully at my old universities small art musuem. I got the application and I just need to apply. It'll take up to 6 months for the showing if selected. I may have an advantage having graduated from the school, we'll see...but all pieces have to be framed and framing goes into the hundreds...a simple cheap frame can run from $6 and up with the most expensive ones running into several hundred, so I am finding them much cheaper and will be framing them myself as cheaply as possible.
