Roberta ouch. I am glad your finger is looking better.

I spoke at the college today. I had two sessions. The first session went well considering a professor was there, arguing science vs natural health. I handled that very well. Another staff/faculty memeber nicely asked the professor to shut up so the rest could listen. I said I need to return to my outline but I would answer question later. I never refused his questions. Boy never thought I would be happy for taking college chemistry. Proffesor got mad and left. lol The second session I had a lot of people, 40 or 45. Most of them glared, texted on the phone, surfed the net on the phone, rolled their eyes at me. I had about 1/3 of the group who wanted to listen to me. I did not speak to students. I spoke to staff and faculty. Would they put up with that behavior in their classrooms? I think not. I will say something to the woman that hired me. Very nicely and proffessionly of course. I will say this, the two staff members I work directly with were young and were very professional. I am still laughing over all of this.

Anna I was thinking about the tea lights/votives couldn't you put the sticker on the bottom of the plastic wrap that you are using?

Got all the paper work together to send in next week to refile for state insurance. I know DH & I will be deined because of his temp job but I'm praying they keep the kids on. Will reapply for us in Dec if no jobs appear then.

Good evening all!!

Again, I have been mia for a couple of days.

Last night I was at dinner with my gf. She told me our mutual friend who had the cardiac cathater inserted is home. The drs. could only do 1 because of the length of time it took to do one, because of her weight.

My CEO is in the hospital this evening, and not happy about it from what I understand. She was at a meeting at the mill yesterday afternoon when the drs. office called looking for the son who runs the mill. I gave them his number.

Today, we had training at the mill on Teamwork, and her son who works with us was there. I quietly asked him why he was there, that they had a meeting 2 hours away at 11:00. You kniow, a quiet reminder.

He told me it was canceled, and then proceeded to let us all know Mrs. T is in the hospital. The dr. who calted the other son yesterday told him they had arranged for a certain dr. to meet her at the er and she needed to go right then. Her blood level was down to a 6 (mine was 7.5 when they got real concerned about me). They kept her and are running tests (blood. CT Scan, and something else) and plan to keep her until the results are known. And they decided she has a UTI also. We are sorta thinking that since no longer gets her period, that she must be bleeding somewhere, an ulcer, or the UTI, or something.

Too really show you how stong she is though, she called this afternoon, someone was comign in the room, so she said she would call back. It did not happen though.

One of the sons took her purse and clothes, but we suspect she is not above signing herself out, and calling a cab with that hospital gown blowing in the wind in the back if she has a mind to. :-)

Lisa, sounds as if you are on an even keel, even though there are a lot of things going on in your life.

Connie, I hope this will work out for you. Don't forget an alarm system, a cash register, building insurance, merchandise insurance, and of course workers' compensation. You will have to open a bank account, get an accountant, do the LLC thing, and don't forget advertising. It is a lot to keep up with too.

I am glad that you were successful in your talks at the college.

Cau, sorry about the plumbing. Once you have had the faucets replaced once, was there something wrong with the plumber's work that they had to be replaced 2 more times? Sorry that you have had ill persons in your home. They said on the news that all of the cases of flu that have been reported are swine flu, not the one we have been vaccinated for at this point. Stay well, please.

Patrice, so glad that you have re-joined us again. Lea is really learning good life lessons from you which should help keep her in good stead when she is an adult and on her own too.

Ladies I am going to bed. I have a lunch date with my sister tomorrow, and I need to do some shopping beforehand, and need to make those lists. I will let you know how my personal "drama queen" acts. She is up to something. I could tell by the tone of her voice on the phone. I have not seen her simce her birthday.

Take care all!! Norma

On the votives... yes, we could but then have no place to put the price tag, LOL! Votives are a challenge for crafters everywhere... one girl down there now has them in a crafters zip lock bag. No warning label. I'm sorry but I think it looks tacky like that.

Jamie

Yes it was a good healthy snack. Wish I could have been out on my porch it rained most of the day. It's been dark, cold and gloomy all week. We did sit out for about a hour with our friend Neal this evening but it go too cold so we all went inside our houses... he was cooking beans for his family. I wrote up the other day a 7 day menu with a break down of how much each item cost and where I bought it, total for 7 meals was $34 and some change to give to him and Melissa for inspiration.

I bought lamp oil today for the lamps... just a 16 oz. size Wow, it's expensive over $3 so I'll have to stock up a little at a time on that one. I also found wicks 3 in a pack for $1 so that was reasonable. We have been burning one of the lamps tonight to see how it worked, very nice.

I also used a coupon for Tombstone pizza, $3.99 - .75 coupon =$3.24 each not too bad and it's something we buy every week so it does get used. Unfortunately dh saw the 2 pizza's so not much of a chance it'll last till next Friday, LOL!

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear about Mrs. T., Norma. Gotta love that feistiness, though. Hope she'll be okay.
Anna, I forgot to tell you that your oil lamps are so pretty! Good deal for the pizzas, too!
Patrice, also meant to tell you that I think your dd did fantastic on her clothes selection.
Goodness, Connie, sounds like you had an eventful day!
Well, just waiting for dh and ds to get back from a movie. It was a guy movie, so I decided to stay home and hang out with the dogs.
Sleep nice, everyone!
Jamie.

My court date went well. My ex and I get have agreed years ago to get along. Of course my amount was lowered. Which we knew that it would be. It was only cut by $300 or so not total in half. I figured 1/2 just so I wouldn't be shoked when they told us the #. We were in and out of the place in a hour. I even gave directs to my ex to get the road he was looking for. I think the lady at the court was amazed at how well we get along. Like I tell my kids. I haven't had to put up with my ex for over 15 yrs I really don't have the time to be bothered with him that is there job!!

Well dd #2 and I are heading to Bloomsburg College for an open house. That is a 2 hr drive each way. Time to get going.

Thanks everyone. Yes I was in bed by 8:30 last night. I was beat.

Insurance. Check. Talking to our agent on Tuesday. Cash register, check there is one there. Bank account, will use my Avon and Reiki business account. LLC.... hum didn't think of that. Will look into it. Will fill out sales tax info this weekend and leave it with a freind to fax in Monday morn. Dd has a speech appt so we will leave early. Oh, I need to make up some sort of accounting/bookeeping forms. Will talk to another friend who does the book keeping for their business. Will package up some of my extra herbs to sell. The bottom line is I will try this for three months. Decide then if it is working or not. But.... also.... life is so darn funny. Dh has to fill out some paperwork and send it in about a job. Then when they get the paperwork they want to see him. I am not getting my hopes up this time but will keep my eyes open. Isn't God funny?

Oh advertising. Our local radio is offering 100 ads in Oct for $96.10 for new business only. I will call them Tuesday. I will need to scrape up the money somehow. Need to see how much fuel oil is in the tank too. Scrape up money for that. I think this all goes against the Dave Ramsey budgeting class but I need to try this business.

Connie---I hope all goes well with your store.
Anna---Your scents always sound so good.
Patrice---Your dd did so well at the mall.
Frugal today...hmmm......I have to gather up my coupons and make my list. Need to do a pretty hefty food shopping. I figure I will go to BJ's first and then to Mr. Z's.
Have a great day all.

This is Lea dressed for her first homecoming Dance. She bought the dress, the shoes, the jewelry all Frugally and she also paid for her own dance. I'm very proud!
