Lisa glad you were able to get enough to see you through.
Jamie. Your fil’s idea is a good one, my fil did that also. There was not a plant he could not grow.
My ac is still on but not going on much. It keeps the allergins out at least. It has been a bad year so far.
The reunion was a success! A couple couldn’t make it at the last min. but that always happens. A good time was had by all and everyone paid me before they left. I have enough beef left for 2 meals , even with people taking home stuff. Tonight will be leftover salads and hot dogs.

Good evening, ladies. Sorry I haven't posted for a couple days. I was hit with a bad stomach virus late Saturday night. I slept all day yesterday (except when I was in the bathroom)and pretty much most of the day today. I guess that was frugal, the unfrugal was all the t.p. I went through.
DH ended up taking the kids back down to his parents yesterday. They were very excited about all the food we bought for them last week. Caleb (DS) told hubby now he can't wait till lunch tomorrow! Kroger had a bunch of Deli Creations marked down to $1.49 from $3.79 so we bought all the mark downs they had. Told the kids to make it stretch cause they may not be on sale like that again for a while.
This afternoon we I got up I folded the clothes that were still hanging from Saturday, washed a load of towels and now have them hanging up. Cleaned up the kitchen from yesterday. Can't complain too much about that. Usually when I'm sick DH would have just packed everyone up to go out to eat. His thinking is that it won't leave a mess for me to clean up later. Well instead they fixed taco salads and oatmeal cookies. They're getting the hang out of eating at home now. Finally. When DH came home from work, we went out back and I shaved his hair for him. He has to get it cut about every two-three weeks so we save alot of money by my cutting it for him. He always does DS too.
Well, since I'm still a little crampy and tired probably won't eat much tonight except some crackers. DH thinks he may be catching it as well. Sorry so long again, TTYL. Amy

Amy, Lisa, & Anna - FEEL BETTER

Lisa - so glad you got the food. I'm sure it will help a lot.

Frugal today - went to P.O. and dropped off mail and recycle. Anna I recycle t.p. & Paper towel tubes.
I then went to Kroger again. Didn't realize they had chicken so cheap. Had split chicken breast for .97 lb. I got 6 pkg. Came home and repackaged into 8 packs of 2 ea. and cooked 2. For stockpile.
Cut grass front and back. Then worked in flower beds and fence rows. I spent 5 hours out there. Came in and fixed sinner, ate, and went back out for another hour. I am plum tuckered!!!!!!!!!!
It was a beautiful cool day. No AC. Getting ready to go soak for a while.
Have a lovely night.

Thanks for the well wishes girls! I was doing great till this evening, oh my goodness. I did manage to get an appointment with the gyne but not till 9/21, which I think is good considering how difficult it is to get in there!

I'm off to heat up some soup for Alyssa, she's still hungry, lol.

Hugs all, going to lay down after that.

Lisa

Lisa, I can so relate with you. I hope you feel better tomorrow. I'm glad you were able to take advantage of the food pantry.

Anna and Amy, hope you both feel better as well.

Missibob, I hope you had a good visit with your friend. Glad to hear the antibiotic is working for you.

Sue, thanks for the advice on the green tomatoes. We are supposed to warm up to about 80* by the end of the week. I have found a few recipes using green tomatoes as well. Still hoping to get some more ripe tomatoes.

We broke a record for low temps overnight. It was 43* this morning. We're supposed to get about that cold again tonight. So, no AC, no fans either.

Chris, nice to see you stopping in. I'm glad you got to have lunch with your mom.

I am exhausted today - a case of the Monday's I guess. I'm going to make a cup of tea and crawl into bed with my book. I hope you all sleep well.

Kathy, thanks. I don't know how anyone can loose that much, well, you know and still be walking around. This time I'm not letting him blow this off. If he says oh it's nothing I'll find another doctor and get a second opinion. I hope you get a good night's rest tonight.

No new frugals today other than the food pantry and washing everything in cold water. I need to fold white clothes, will get Alyssa to help with that.

Okay, gonna go put those feet up for a bit. Good night all.

Lisa
