Thanks for all of the well wishes. I am much better today after a good night's sleep. I was in bed by 9:00 last night. Today will be an easy day at work, and I can always come home if I don't feel well.
Missibob, I hope all goes well with your surgery today.
Anna, your new candle scents sound heavenly. Fall is my favorite season. I was at Hobby Lobby the other day,and they have all of their fall stuff out, along with their fall-scented candles - Heaven! I will say a prayer that David's company does not have to resort to layoffs or cutting back on hours.
Cooked, way to go on a frugal and delicious meal!
Mish, how are you feeling today?
Well, we are still cool so I am going to keep the AC off again today. We are supposed to get up to 85 this afternoon, but then cool down again tomorrow, so we'll just have to "sweat it out" today. I will have to turn it back on on Sunday, and then it's actually supposed to get hot next week.
I need to get a quick shower and get off to work. At least it's casual day, and Fridays are usually laid back.
Anna, you are so right, there will be more insets than normal this weekend. 2 Smart Source, 1 Red Plum, 1 P&G, and 1 from Kellogg's. This is truly the weekend to get extra papers. For those of you with kids who eat cereal, get more than one extra paper. The money you save, can be your own. This is a frugal spending, saving at least $1 per box, and it being on sale just now, great time to stock up. Look at the expiration dates too.
Ladies, got to go.
Missibob, prayers for your surgery today.
Kathy, sorry you are feeling so poorly. Been there, done that, and I am glad that I don't have to do that again.
Anna----That is alot of soap! I'd love to smell it.
Missibob---Thinking about you today.
Kathy---Glad to hear you are feeling better today.
I think I may venture out today. I need to pick up a few greeting cards and something for dinner. I also have to start walking. I figure today I will walk down to the mailbox and back. It's a start!

Yes, it sure is a lot of soap and heavy to carry too. They moved their office into town so it'll be much easier to deliver than climbing up their graveled driveway... first trip there in January about scared me to death that we'd. slip and get hurt, thank goodness I dressed for comfort instead of style that day and had on my hiking boots.
Well I'm getting ready to head out to the bank and the stores close bye... Giant Eagle sent me a online form to fill out to get a $5 instore credit, no purchase necassary so I'll be stopping there to pick up a free canister of coffee it's on sale this week for $4.99 and also using as many as they'll let me of the dog food coupons for free dog food.

Thought for the Day
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream;
Not only plan, but also believe.
Jamie, nasturtium is used in three different ways..tea, compress and poultice.Externally the pultice or compress can be used to treat local bacterial infections.Internally, an adult can drink three cups of tea a day to treat bacterial respiratory infections as well as flu virus...although it doesn't kill the viral illness it helps you handle the repiratory part of it.It's also used to fight reproductive infections and UTI.The parts used are leaves and flowers...one or 2 teaspoons of fresh leaves in 1 cup boiling water for 10-15 minutes and strain through a coffee filter. I also freeze them first to get any bugs out.For a compress you just use the tea and for a poultice you put bruised leaves between two thin layers of gauze and put it on the skin.I discovered quite by accident that if I crush the stem in my hands and cup them over my mouth and nose it almost instantly clears the congestion in my nose and lungs....haven't used my asthma inhaler in a very long time as I'm afraid of the side effect of nerve damage...shake like crazy every time I have to use that thing. Not so with the nasturtium.
Missibob, thinking of you and hoping everything is going well for you this morning.
Jean, where are you? I hope your just busy enjoying doing the things you are now able to do.
Anna, Wow! That's a lot of soap and a lot of hard work.I hope David's workplace will make it through these tough times.Big hugs cuz I know you must be worried.
Kathy, big hugs for all you went through yesterday.I'm glad you're feeling better today
Norma, I hope you have a wonderful time on your date tomorrow night!
Patti, I'm a bit jealous of you at the moment...would love to have a day like that once in a while.
Cherly, way to go on the no spending!Still cheering you on
Karen, good for you on the cereal deal!
Everyone who is about to buy cereal on a deal keep in mind that most of the expirations on cereal boxes read best by and not use by...just because the date has passed doesn't mean they aren't usable but that the quality might be a lil less...also if you are worried about a box going stale you can make cereal treat with cereal other than rice crispies
Cooked, that sounds like a lovely meal...never had those kind of noodles myself as we don't have an asian food store around that I'm aware of.
Connie, sorry bout your FIL..hard to deal with people like that.
Lisa, if you do decide to go herbal, I'de suggest growing your own herbs...you know where they've been and how they've been grown that way.
For all who have teens, I'm thinking they all go through this to some extent, boys and girls. Just stick to your guns and don't let them get away with it and all will be well. It's hard I know.At times I used to think someone else took over my DS's body.
My frugal yesterday was saving as much of the laundry that got washed and dryed with a bright orange crayon as I could
note to self-just because they are shorts don't mean they don't have pockets!
Another frugal was dealing with the toilet that plugged and couldn't be plunged, I went to the hardware store looking for some kind of drain opener to deal with it...none existed for toilets so was directed to something called a toilet auger...cost around $10, wasn't too hard to use and a lot less mess than I feared it would be.Cleaning it when finished wasn't pleasant but wasn't difficult either....swish the ick off in the toilet then soaked it in bleach water dryed with paper towel and oiled it as suggested(so as not to rust)Don't know what a plumber costs but I'm sure it would have been more than $10!And now we have a solution for future use if needed.....
sorry for btb but wanted to add that I got the crayon off the laundry with a toothbrush and dawn dishsoap and washed in hot...didn't work on sock material though.
Hope you all had an easier day than me yesterdayLOL
Frugal today is making jello and pudding and putting in small dishes for snacks and lunches. Packed my lunch from leftovers. We will be eating dinner at home tonight. The girls are having friends over to go swimming and to have a campfire in the back field. Hopefully the weather holds up and they don't get wet!!
DD #1 is going to make brownies today for snacks.
Not much else going on. I will make sure I check out this Sunday's paper.

Have a Wonderful Day

Sue, you sure did have a rough day yesterday but, good for you on unclogging the toilet yourself. That is a handy tool to have. We had one, at one time, when I was married. I think he let it rust out. And oh yes, will absolutely grow my own.
Anna, happy shopping, I hope you find lots of good deals! Be careful with all that soap. David sure looks like he was having a good time cutting that all up, lol!
Kathy, I'm with Anna, why are those procedures so dang painful? Hope you rest up some, even though I know you are at work. If you feel bad, go home and put those feet up. Yes, I'm being bossy.
I didn't get online at all last night. I was de-compressing. I got a text from the ex husband yesterday about 5 pm, I worked late yesterday. It said "Oh, forgot to tell you, my unemployment ran out." That translates to no child support. I tried to call him to find out if we had 1 week coming or if it's just a big fat zero, he wouldn't answer the phone. I did manage to get out of him, via text, that he did apply for the extension/emergency relief and he would let me know if it gets approved. Now, I asked him, specifically, a few weeks ago to let me know when the warning letters came...nope, he sure didn't. Things are going to get mighty tight at home. I sat down withi the girls, we've discussed the cuts that are going to have to be made and while they are not thrilled they understood. Alyssa wants me to sell the piano. She said she doesn't play it, we don't have the extra for lessons and she thinks she'll want to learn to play the drums, WHEN we get to that point. See, I'm blessed, amazing kids.
Today's frugal: made biscuits for the girls as we watched the condemned apartments next to that burned out bar go up in flames. My little town has a fire bug and it's starting to make me nervous, but I won't tell the kids that. This fire started about 4 am, I slept right thru it. Will have lunch here at work, a baby shower for my co-worker and another attorney. I feel bad because I have nothing for this shower but I have told them both the circumstances, I hope they truly understand. I will hopefully finish the baby afghans I've had going for awhile, those will be my presents to them.
Tonight I have to cut the grass, going to clean out the van as the bf and I are going to use it to go to the party for his sister and bil tomorrow afternoon. He's even going to put gas in the van for the trip.
Will check in later my friends. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Lisa so very sorry that EX's $$ ran out hope they give the extension or he gets a job.
Sue I will have pretty much the same kind of day today. Judy washed and hung out small load earlier today.
I am going down to freezer and see what I see in there. Have no idea right now what might appeal to me out of what is in there. Something I hope that will not involve the oven. Not as hot today as has been but still too hot to heat up kitchen. Hopefully I can find something to go in crockpot. I love my crockpots
