Oh, what a huge relief, Anna! I am so glad she's okay and that you didn't have to spend the money. A twistie tie...I would never have thought of anything like that.

Today being Canada Day, I am relaxing (and working on the computer at my job) and in between I am taking all the old plastic shopping bags and making them into plarn whilst hubby and dd are outside chopping bonfirewood. I need a rug for the basement, so I figure I may as well use material that is just going to end up in the dump one day anyway. I don't know how it will look, but hey, it is free!

Have a good Cananda day to those who celebrate.

Petrol/gas has gone up here as at 1 jul, we have just lost a govt subsidy that we used to get of 7c per litre but strangely enough petrol went up 12cents per litre, go figure. $1.22 per litre for regular unleaded. We are told that this will be a pretty regular price but could go higher.

Anna---So glad to hear that Windi is ok and you didn't have to take her to the vet.

I spent the day running around, Jewel had turkey breast for $.99 a lb and Squirt for $.79 a 2 liter bottle, Cheese for .99 for 8ozs. Of course it was a 1 day sale. Then to GFS for chicken breasts, $8.99 for 5 lbs

Hi there everyone. Can you believe it's JULY? We are on the downward spiral of the year.
ANNA - so glad Windi is doing better. Hope that's all it was.

Frugal today - went to post office to mail and dropped of paper recyling. Went to City Hall to pay health insurance.
I did stop at FD and bought 2 more bags kitty litter ($1 ea) to have on hand. Also got 3 Wylers fruit punch canisters for .80 ea. clearanced. DH has been asking for fruit punch.
Breakfast and lunch from what was on hand. Took a small nap, while it rained. Was bad at dinner. We both wanted something different, so I ran up the street to White Castle. We haven't had those in about a year. YUM, but will be sorry later!!!
About 68 and cloudy with a little rain today. AC off and windows open.
Kind of taking it easy today. Going to take a nice hot bath in a while - since it's so cool, and do a pedi.
Have a great everyone.

Good evening all!!

To all of our Canadian Friends - Happy Canada Day!!

Anna, that is such good news about Windi. I hope that in the future she learns to eat only food (LOL)!That thing probably was pinching her bowels and now allowing her to go properly.

Lisa, Happy Belated Birthday to Rachel. I am happy that you all had such a good time at church.

Cau, it looks like you got some good deals. How are you getting around - much better I hope.

Jean, where are you?? I hope you are doing well. Please let us know.

Not much happened here all day. It was fairly slow at work because of the upcoming holidlay, and the factories shutting down for a week or two to re-tool and get ready for the fall rush. I was a little disappointed because it was my "easy" day, and the first of the month. I get the monthly statements, to fold and mail, but they weren't finished printing before I left. I could have done most of them this afternoon. But tomorrow I do the faxes, the daily invoices, the salesmen's mail, my weekly report (ha, ha, it is done) and now the monthly statements will come on top of that. I will be taking some tylenol arthritis right before I go to work tomorrow!! And it will be just my luck that the CEO will decide we can leave early, and I won't be done. My two co-workers have already expressed that they will grab some of something and fold and stuff, because I have helped them in the past. So, we will see!! It should be challenging.

Well ladies, I need to go find some dinner and then get those dishes done. I am thinking tomato and onion sandwiches.

Take care all!! Norma

Thank you Norma and Jamie for the wishes for Rachel, and everyone else as well!

I came home and picked up the money my son FINALLY paid me for his car insurance. Alyssa and I went back out to Aldi and spent just over $45. I have $14 to get me thru till Monday. Oh boy....

I have supper started, having popcorn chicken and garlic herb potatoes. Next is help Rachel pair up outfits for her new job she starts on Monday, working in the office at the Child Advocacy Center the next town over.

Guess I'll get off here and get moving, gonna make myself sit at 8 pm and that's it, read if I want, sit on the front porch if I want!

Hope you all have a lovely day!

Hugs,
Lisa
