back for our weekend away. Didn't spend to much money while away. I filled up the van with gas today for the week. We will eat dinner at home tonight. I am doing laundry and hanging it out to dry. Will cut out the coupons from today's paper. Need to write out my meals for the week. The girls should be home from there vacation in Florida on Tuesday.

Good evening to everyone, sounds like we all enjoyed our day yesterday. I was just happy that for awhile last night my entire family was under the same roof and actually all in the living room for awhile. I miss that so much. Tomorrow, we have to see if we can get our oldest son's car worked on and just hope it won't be too expensive. Also, my yds has a dentist appointment to have his teeth cleaned.

Lisa, ods got in about 3 in the evening. He had said he would be in early so I thought he meant earlier in the day. When I told him I had been looking for him earlier he acted surprised(lol). Your 4th sounded very nice. Hope you feel better soon.

Jacki, I think its good you and your dh had a little alone time. Sometimes, its good to have a break from everyone else even family.

Connie, you sound very busy and always are so creative in many ways.

The only fireworks I saw was some my neighbor shot off. They were pretty.

Kathy, I'm sorry you are still not feeling well. I hope you are much better in the morning.

Well girls have a good evening and take care.

Jean, that one flowerbed has needed cleaned out for over a month. It was terrible. I have been ignoring it. Same for some other flower beds. Then this afternoon dh and I tried to remove a homemade bathroom fan. We didn't install it, and was is tough to remove. We have removed/rebuild walls in this house that weren't that well made. Who knew?? Crazy. I will be painting the bathroom. Anyone know of a good paint for a bathroom?

Jean,So glad to see you on here again.
Lisa,Hoping you are feeling better soon.
Norma,We stayed home last night and watched them on tv too.At least we saved money by not driving to them in gasoline.
Frugal for me?Well last night I was feeling the best so i dragged myself to urgent care.Got the start of an ear infection with some sinsus problems.Aslo going to give myself some more allegery medications stuff at nightime.I went to walmart to pick up a few things and needed more gasline,my medciation was 10.00/We have been home ever since then,.My youngest wanted to go swimming at the ymca but we are home and the a/c is running.Oh and had a small disagreement with my oldest.I also laid off in the sun to work on my suntan.I can't wait for school to start up again.
Ericka<Could you use one of those bags to store stuff for 2 hours??Otherwise maybe bring a small cooler with you on your trip?

Ericka, peanut butter, cheese, crackers, apples/grapes all travel well and would work as a meal or just a snack.

Finished up the leftovers for dinner tonight.

I missed wishing you all a happy 4th July, I hope you enjoyed your day.

Mum is moved into her new house with just finding places for things now and remember where they were put.

For us nothing much happened apart from helping mum. We did have afternoons off and did some room re arranging and movie watching. ds1 took his g/f for dinner for her birthday as he couldn't think of a present (mum and dad get her stuff) had a nice night out if a little chilly (it's on the wharf)

When do your kids go back to school?

Hello everyone! Well, I was out to dinner tonight and a show with my dd for my bd. This bd will be the last in this decade LOL...We saw "My Sister's Keeper", and believe me, you needed a whole box of Kleenex for this one... We had a good crying time, ha,ha. Frugal was bringing home half of my dinner, they give you so much in the restaurant, I think. It was a philly steak cheese thing on a beautiful roll, and cole slaw on the side with a huge dill pickle. DH will enjoy it tomorrow for lunch, I'm sure.
ds4 and family came for lunch and brought over two lg. pizzas and salad, so that was super, and dh had bought a beautiful cake at A & P, so we all enjoyed it immensely.
Couldn't remember if I posted that ds2 had 6 new puppies at their house or not, but unfortunately 4 have died. My dd and family are taking one of them when it is big enough. The other one will be adopted out as well. They sure are sweet little things, and the parents are gorgeous, auburn coloured, as are these two little puppies. It is difficult to lose 4 of the 6 that were born, but they were not feasible. The two living ones were taking all of the nourishment before they were born.
Have a super week.
