Connie

Is it possible to have the "big paper" delivered to you by mail? It might be a few days late but the coupons are usually good for a month.

RobertaD

We're waiting for the gas to dry out too although I hear one of my neighbor guys out there mowing right now. The sun is coming in and out and it keeps looking like it might rain?? We're getting ready here in a bit to go out and take the chains off our lawn furniture, put some at the curb and move the wooden glider onto the porch. On the porch have to take off all the metal chairs and figure out what to do with them? I love those chairs some are very old belonged to dh's parents, they aren't the prettiest as they've got rust on them but they are still functional.

Frugal today will be staying home and not spending money. I need to make a small Aldi's run but today is the 2nd so there will be alot of people in there doing major shopping with food stamp/Wic so not a place I want to be in today.

Jamie

I checked the LL Bean site and didn't see anything I liked except.. ahem, flip flops LOL!

Yes, I can get the paper in the mail. Which is the best Sunday paper for coupons? I will not get the Omaha World Herald since they pulled all routes and racks from this part of the state.

Dh got a buy today. He read the radio talk/swap online and found a topper for the pickup. $30. The clear coat is coming off but since it is bright blue green, it will be painted. The main thing is this is something he did himself. Glory! He may grow up yet.

Anna, Could you paint your metal chairs with Rustoleum? They have lots of colors.

Maybe you could paint them to match your house.

Jean I’m so sorry you had to go through so much, NOW listen to your body as you heal. My prayers are with you. I have had a very scary year with illnesses and feel free to PM me if you feel the need to vent or just talk. I’ll give you my phone # if you want
Connie, I’m sorry to say that is the price with the supplement. My allergy inhalers are expensive and no generic so far. O well at least my asthma is under control and I am thankful for that. On the plus side my supplement for drs and hospitals will pay anything Medicare won’t pay IF Medicare pays.
Anyone have a good cleaner for plastic chairs. Some of mine are really dirty

Jean, I'm sorry for what you have been through. I will definitely keep you in my prayers. Please take care of you. And let others take care of you as well. Sending you big hugs.

Connie, how about the Lincoln Journal Star? They have all of the coupons every Sunday.

Well, the days of rain finally stopped here so hopefully it will be making its way off the east coast very soon. I have all of the windows open today. Right now, there are three loads of laundry drying outside, and I even have my first gallon of sun tea "brewing" on the patio.

Not so frugal, DH and I went to the farmers market this morning. This was opening week. Not much fresh fruit and veggies yet. We did get some fresh asparagus. I'll be grilling that tonight with smoked sausage.

I hope you all have a terrific Saturday!

Thanks Kathy I will check with the Star.

Norma, I would paint the chairs. Of course I am the spray paint queen. Love the stuff.

Cau. cleaning plastic lawn furniture? Mr Clean Magic Eraser! Works like a charm. Do not mix it with bleach!

I sorted though my mothers recipes. I found one or two in my grandmothers handwriting. That is what I want. I found some other papers of moms. Very upsetting. I did distroy them. No one needs to see them. Why did she have them in with recipes? Oh yeah, she was crazy that is why. lol

Dh is putting in a outlet in the basement. Yeah! We might put more shelves down there too for my paper craft area. We have another computer in the closet. I will put it down there. I don't know IF we will be able to hook it up to the internet...... I will figure out a way. I will need to buy a new moniter too. No room for that big one.

I sorted through my flower seeds. I have a lot of outdated one. I am slowly planting them indoors and out. If they come up, wonderful! If not they are out of my house. It is raining. A very very soft slow rain.

The topper is very nice! It is a bright teal color the men say. I say mint green. Looks wild on a navy blue pick up. lol A little sanding and some spray paint it will be great. One more step to moving ..........buying a topper for the pickup! I know that is a strange way to look at it. lol

Good afternoon all!!

Jean, I am so sorry to hear what your surgeries were. You were added to my prayers quite some time ago. I know it will be difficult for you to take care of yourself first, because you always put the ones you love ahead of you. But, if there ever was a time for you to think of yourself first, this is it.

Connie, I have a suggestion for you, why not purchase the coupons you need online? I have done this many times when I needed to find some for a specific product. I like e-bay, but there is also couponclippers, and more if you do a google search.

Frugal today - I went to the post office for stamps, to the bank, McD's for a breakfast sandwich to eat while I had the car inspected. Then I went to the grocery store. I got the pinto beans and split green peas that were on sale for $.69 a bag - I got the maximum 4 bags each allowed. I also found my favorite turkey thighs. Just as I got home the rain started heavily. But, I did the errands in a big circle. I have also used the vacuumn cleaner and done 2 loads ofclothes, made iced tea, emptied and re-filled ice cube trays (no ice maker in my fridge).

Well ladies, I better go for now.

Take care all!! Norma

I have the back yard mowed, taking a break right now before starting on the front yard. The kids are fighting in the back yard as they have to rack up the grass and put it in the trash can to be dumped on the garden. Such slave drivers we are LOL.

I made a good dent in the living room before starting the grass after having gone to the grocery store. DD2 & I had lunch at the grocery $1 hotdogs and $.25 pop proceeds went to the American Cancer Society.

I had wanted to get a free Kashi coupon, but when I put in my address, I found out that it was only available in the USA. I decided to complain, since it is advertised on Canadian tv channels, and in our papers. Yesterday, I got a free Kashi box of bars in the mail. Unfortunately, I didn't like them afer all, LOL, I felt like I was eating birdseed, so I think I will put them out for our feathered friends.
Hubby and I went to the TSC store, and got gardening clogs for $5.29 each, a very good price here in Ont. they are usually at least $12.99 a pair. Bought my huge straw hat at DH insistence for the summer, so I hope it will be hot enough to wear it. I am not a hat person, but this one doesn't look too bad. He got shorts for $12.99 at TSC, another good buy. Feels good to get a bargain once in a while.
