Hello friends. I was just looking at the online version of our local newspaper and found an interesting article/feature about of all things, "coupon parties"! Here's the link:

It was an interesting read that's for sure!

LISA, that's interesting. People are doing everything possible to save money. Wonder if you have to pay for privaledge? Exchange groups would be an excellant idea for all of us to start in our areas. It's got me thinking!!

Dinner was great. Had corn on the cob, smoked sausage, and bread and butter pickles. The corn was really sweet!!
Made more sweet tea today, and filtered water for that, cubes, and to fill all water jugs for frig.
Take care.

It's just me again - Miss Pesty!

Just happen to think that I saw in paper that McD has their hamburgers for 59 cents each Monday in May. Hope yours does too. If you're eating out)

Also tried something different tonight. I have a dry swifter - I have used an old wash cloth on it for a long time to dust mop and wet mop. Tonight I got out a microfiber rag (my new fav item), and dust mopped with it. (Pushed it in holes to fit tightly) It was great!!!! Then I dampened and turned over and mopped the kitchen floor. Pulled off dust bunnies and threw in the laundry. I'm in love!!!!!
I'm thinking of making my own swifter hand duster thingy. It would just envolve a tad of sewing and cutting. I wonder if they sell microfiber material at fabric shops? If not I will just used a couple rags to cut.
GOOD NIGHT

Cheryl, I have made my own swiffer dusters. I used scrapes of polar fleece.

Lisa, that sounds great! I would love something like that.

Good evening all!!

Cheryl - you could join us over in the Coupon Swap Club if you would like to have greater access to coupons you want to use. Think about it and pm me if interested for more details.

Take care all - it is past my bedtime.

Anna, I agree, as we get older, it hurts more.

Take care - Norma

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Friday!

It's pouring rain here this morning and I'm getting ready to head out to Wally World . Frugal so far is I have about enough coffee cream for one more cup of coffee and instead of running next door to Shell where the price for a small container of coffee cream has moved up to $2.99 I'm just going to do without any more coffee till I get home from Wally World. I refuse to pay that much for a small canister of coffee cream, it only last about 2 or 3 days.

Barbzy

In response to the flip flops... I wish I could find something safer that is easy to pull on and off, I wear my flip flops year round. I use to love to go bare foot but with being diabetic that is a definite No No. I wish they still made those tennis shoes that had the back out of them but I haven't been able to find them in a couple years.

Well off to enjoy that last cup of coffee and gather up my cloth bags.

Oh Lisa

Thanks for posting that link, it was a interesting article.

Anna

Anna, go to Walmart or Payless! They have the sneakers with no back.
You might also look into Crocs. I know I just said Luke trips in them. But I have a pair (fake ones) and they are good for "around the house" shoes. I got them to wear for the beach.
