Good evening all!!

Barb, I so hope you are feeling a little better. It will take a few days to be up and on your feet again.

Lisa, glad that Megan is starting to feel better also.

Connie, so glad you got the new washer. It is great to have new toys.

Roberta, and Lisa, great to know the mowers are in working order for the season. You two really knock me out - I haven't mowed in years - too much lawn, and I can't do the heat and sun.

It was cool, misty, and foggy here today.

Frugal today was eating breakfast here, and lunch taken to work. Dinner was at the diner, one of the early bird specials, with over 1/2 the meat leftover, and dessert (cheesecake) brought home. The dessert was part of the dinner (soup, salad, bread, potato and side, dessert, along with the entree for $11.95).

Well ladies, better hit the bed so I can be ready for the class tomorrow.

Oh, there will be 4 inserts in Sunday's papers. A great time to get a couple extra papers, and be ready to "stock up" when the sales can be matched with them.

Take care all!! Norma

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Friday

It is pouring rain here this morning . I will be on the road here in a couple hours, sure hope the rain dies down a little bit. .

As always I'll be hanging on to my pennies as much as possible when I go to the store today. I have to go to Krogers when I get back to pick up meds. so it'll be a long day.

Crochet2

Thanks for the info. on the coupons I haven't gotten my notice yet from Taylortown which is a little unusual.

Well better start getting everything lined up to go. I'll be back on later.

Anna

Good morning all!!

Anna, you and I were posting at the same time last night.

I agree that is great to have god neighbors. A lot of mine have moved, one I stay in touch with, and there are still 3 that if I had a problem, I could just show up at their doorstep and get help.

As far as smelling the flowers, and even just being able to see what has come back from last year, that is one of the things I call a "good time". My one neighbor who moved that I keep in touch with, we used to "walk the yards" every nght after dinner. If there were weeds, we pulled them together. If there were spots that really needed watering, well, who knows who might get sprayed by the end of the evening!! Our yards were right next to one another, and we just had a ball.

Well, it is raining here, and from the east which is unusual. (It hits my front windows when from the east.) But is supposed to be up near 66*, so the grass will grow. I need to call the guy who will mow, and I want to negotiate a lower price this year, based on the fact that gas has gone down.

Have a great Friday ladies, and take care.

Norma

Good morning ladies. I am sneaking on while at work so I'll be brief.

Today's frugal was unplugging and shutting down everything before leaving the house. I also brought lunch and snacks (I usually do that anyway!) I was very excited that I was able to get a load of laundry hung outside before I went to work. Of course, my fingers were numb by the time I finished because it was only 34* - lol! But it's supposed to be sunny and 62 today.

We are a winter storm watch this weekend. We're supposed to get snow Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Anna, I'm glad to hear that you have such great neighbors. Our neighbors really keep to themselves. As far as the meds, I am taking an additional one because the Lexapro just wasn't doing the whole job. I have seen those commercials on TV. My doctor put me on Wellbutrin which has been around a lot longer so I feel more comfortable taking it.

Better get back to work!

The update on my dryer is that it was a fuse that went out, so for around $50 my dryer is working again! I've been catching up on laundry.

Rainy here this morning but we are suppose to have nice weather this week end.

Anna, I haven't been receiving my taylortown updates either.

I'm on my third load of laundry this morning, piggy backing in the dryer to save the heat.

I'm glad I mowed the back yard yesterday as we have had bad storms all night and has been raining most of the morning with the temps dropping. So no outside work will be done today.

I did put 3 plastic broken lawn toys out for the trash in the cover of night (dd2 was sleeping).

I'm working on finishing up our taxes to get them filed this weekend then refile for state insurance on Monday.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I taped the Suzie Orman episode on Oprah yesterday and watched it this morning. DH says to me "how can you save more money than you already do?".

Kathy my dh used those meds. Now he is on something stronger, I can't spell it. Dr increased his lithium and I think it needs it again. Time will tell.
Kathy so happy you fixed the dryer!
Roberta, I hope you told your dh, where there's a will, there's a way!

Jean, I have not seen a post from you all week and I am worried, are you okay? Your family, including your sister Trish? I'm hoping you've just been busy with no time to write.

It's been so nice here for a couple weeks that I haven't used the fireplace but this morning it is going. Cloudy, cold and looks like rain. I don't have anywhere I have to go today. It is supposed to be nice for the weekend though, this weekend is that big fishing derby, Sat., Sun. and Mon. with over $200,000 in prizes they say. Dh will be going out with his step dad and uncle in his uncle's boat each day. He said they only plan to stay out for 3-5 hours each morning though, not all day.

I was able to dry a load of laundry on the line yesterday, have more to do but it will wait until tomorrow.

Tonight I am making a big pan of lasagna and garlic bread and will take it down to the lake where dh's mom and step dad are staying in their motorhome to share for dinner. We are also taking the movie "Wild Hogs" which dh just loves and his parents have not seen. I think I will make a dessert also but am not sure what yet. I really want cake but shouldn't have it.

Kathy, I'm glad your Dr. was able to get you an RX that worked better. I go to mine next week to get RX's rewritten and discuss a couple things.

Roberta, I also taped the Oprah show yesterday, I like Suzie Orman's advice but her voice and way she says things I always feel like she's yelling at people like "I've told you this a million times and you don't listen" type of thing. To me she comes across as feeling superior instead of helpful sometimes, I taped it so I can fast forward if needed LOL. I do enjoy most of the financial help episodes, books, etc. out these days.

Anna, I hope you don't get too wet on your trip to the stores today. I hope you sold a lot of things this week so you have a lot of stocking to do. Congrats on dh getting lots of OT this week when it seems to be needed.

Laurie, I'm glad your dryer was an easy fix, maybe next time you'll be able to get a new one! Connie, I'm glad you got the new washer and that you're enjoying it.

Norma, that's great that you had leftovers from dinner last night, it sounds like it was a good deal. Thanks for telling us about the number of coupon inserts this Sunday, I will make sure to buy one this week.
Love, Jacki

Kathy I am glad you are feeling better. You too Barbszy!

Cheryl, same here, I like stocking up on those 1 lb sausages and then making milk gravy with it and some onions over buttermilk biscuits.

Tuition is due today and taxes to both the fed and state so not a frugal day, good thing about those 4 coupon supplements coming in Sunday's paper.
