Gee I lost my post.

Cheryl I live in the boonies. The nearest scratch and dent store is five hours away.

Dh and I talked a bit before he left about how to get this paid off. I think for once he is on board with me. Honestley he realizes he has made some huge mistakes and he had to do something to fix things. I am thankful.

I will remember to check the warrenty about using the special soap. The sales rep said she has spent $15 on laundry soap for a family of five in the last year. She has the same machine. I will not mess up my warrenty.

Norma, it was Megan that got so sick but I can already see a difference in her.

Connie, so sorry about the washer, sounds like you have it all taken care of though.

I know there are more and I'll post later but the grass outside is long and calling me to cut it! First mow of the season, yeah!

Hugs,
Lisa

Connie, it sounds like the same washing-machine fail I had last year. I totally forgot about that until you said "transmission." When mine went, there was a LOT of noise all the time. It was an Amana washer and apparently there is a history of that problem with those machines.

Wasted $20 today going to the doctor with what I considered clear-cut flu symptoms. I was FINE this morning but midmorning I suddenly was nauseous, then the fever, chills and body aches hit. Of course DH is out of town until tomorrow night....Fortunately my Big Kids made dinner. I said they could do French toast or spaghetti; they chose to make a couple of boxes of mac & cheese and call it a night. I had crackers. DD cooked so Big DS has to clean it up, which he is putting off. Tomorrow morning if I still feel bad, the Big Kids will be making the lunches since I don't want to handle anyone's food. Anyway, the doctor says I have a "virus" so no miracle drug for me. This is the first time, other than the doctor visit, that I've been off the couch in 9 hours. I'm going to bed as soon as I pack Luke off to bed.

Lisa---Hope your dd feels better soon.

I know I've missed some.

Not much going on here. Dinner from the freezer, etc. Just wanted to check in.

Have a great night!

Unfortunitly I will receive a charge from my bank for depositing a "bad check" if it actually comes to that. I haven't spoken to the customer yet, I called back and got her answering machine, she called back and gave DH her cell phone which I called when I got home and it went to voice mail. But there isn't a thing I can do about it she paid me last week and I made my deposit last week.

Connie from what I've heard about front loaders you will save a lot on water, detergant and electricity.

Barbszy I hope you feel better soon. I am glad the big kids are doing all they can to help you. Hope it is getting warmer there and will stay that way.
Connie good luck with the washer. If and when I need a new one would love a front loader if we can afford it.
Not so frugal today went to Save a Lot tho' cheaper than other places still spent pushing $75. But it will last for good while. Still have to go to commissary this Friday and stock up as will not be able to go to commissary in May

Yes, that is what I meant about the bad check. Fortunately I have only had that happen the one time.

Barbzy

Poor thing.. after going through this very thing 2 weeks ago, I feel your pain. I hope you get better soon .

We just got through watching Quarantine, OMG what a scary movie and for me a unsatisfying ending... I hate movies that have a sad ending.

Well I guess that's about it for today.

Oh Connie, meant to say sorry about your washer but glad you were able to get a front load one... I would love one of those, my washer is a Kenmore and I think about 13-14 years old? and going just fine.

Anna

Another frugal today was cleaning and oiling my sewing machine. She is sounding much better, tomorrow she will be purring. Ahhhhh.... I love my machine. I have the kitty pillows sewn, ready to stuff. One pair of pj bottoms almost finished. I may cut the other pair out tonight. Dd came to my sewing room and wanted to know what I was making. Of course I wouldn't let her in. Now she is really wondering...... lol

Dh isn't back yet. I called and asked him how it was going. Ds did have some friends to help but the apartment wasn't packed. We weren't surprised. I am sure dil thought we would run in and do it all for her. Guess she had a rude awakening. Ds told her to pack while he, his dad and the friends moved everything else. Dh said dil moved tail then. Lazy lazy kids.

To all who are feeling icky, get better soon! Dd isn't feeling well. May run to the city tomorrow and see the doctor.

Connie---You will love your front loader. We bought ours after we had some ceptic problems. We put a patch on the ceptic system so to speak. This uses less water....and as Roberta said less energy, etc. Les detergent also.

I'll echo all the positive votes on the front loader, saved our septic system for sure, and it's quieter too when it is running. I had to keep going down the first couple weeks to see if it was still doing the load it was so quiet.

Missed breakfast and lunch today and got two snacks for a $1 and then a baked potato with toppings for $1.50 and then two grilled cheese for $3.00 at the lacrosse game. Hmmmm, new frugal, eating at concession stands?
