I like having cooked hamburger in the freezer as it doesn't turn bad as fast as fresh frozen.

Well I got an oops call this afternoon from a customer wanting me to hold her check until Friday... which wouldn't be a problem but she gave it to me last week and I go to the bank on Fridays, so sorry it's already been processed.

The washer will not get fixed. It is the transmission, $150 for the part. This washer is 8 yrs old and has never worked right. We will have to use the cc to buy a washer but dh and I have already talked about how to pay it off within a year. That card was almost paid off! Such is life.

bluebird when you find a model of washer you like call around to the other stores in your area to check prices and delivery fees. And don't forget to ask if they have 90 days same as cash or even 12 months same as cash offer.

Oh, I'm sorry, Connie. At least you'll have a nice washer for quite a while and you'll be able to catch up on your laundry. I hope you find an inexpensive one.
Anna, we love spaghetti, too. And way to go on not going out for more ingredients! That will save a lot.
Roberta, that's too bad about the customer, but still... It isn't fair for to ask you to wait and especially if she has the items already. She wouldn't ask a store to wait, I am sure.
Lisa, that is so nice that your work provides drinks. The sandwich sounds good!

Busy but frugal today, dh had a Stress Test. It was the chemical one so it takes 3 or 4 hours. Dd#3 came by and we are watching Molly Brown. She is hooked on old musicals, a gift from me. I gave her dh a hand with his homework, he is going back to college. They hope he will get a better job with a degree. Staying in and making an easy dinner as we are having a new kitchen floor put in tomorrow. Not frugal but I am doing my bit for the economy.

I hope your bank doesn't do like ours does... and give both of you a penalty for a bounced check.

I had that happen to me years ago when I was working for a real estate agent and of course not only did we both incurred fee's but I lost that $200 check too. He made it right but still!!

We will pick up the washer ourselves. We live 30 miles outside of town, mileage is too $$$. I bought a good machine, front loader, on sale, no interest, no payments for 12 months. I will figure out a payment schudule myself. I have came up with three different ways to pay for the washer. If one way doens't work out I have two backup plans!

I sewed up the kids kitty pillows the Easter bunny is brining them. This is the first Amy Butler pattern I have made. Now I understand why everyone loves her patterns.

Dh is going into town tonight to help ds and his wife move. I made and packed wraps for them to munch on.

Dd is not feeling well at all today. Keeps getting worse. I am keeping a close watch on her.

Good evening all!!

Well, our VP was "April Fooled" this morning, by the company president. He had our manufacturer of one of our vinyls, call and leave a voice-mail message that they were not able to meet their financial obligations and were closing their doors. It took him a few minutes to regain himself. When he came back from lunch, I called him and asked him if he were leary about coming back into the building after this morning. He was ok.

Lisa, glad that Rachael got the necessary meds quickly. Don't let her get too run down between school, church and work. The illnesses will come around that much more quickly if she does. Also, isn't it about time for another play to come around, for whole family this time, maybe????

Jamie, right about now I am feeling the need for a stack of books, and not crochet books either.

Connie, glad you moved quickly on a new washer. Make sure to pay off that puppy before the 12 months is up, or they might stick you with the back interest.

To all who are having spaghetti, what a great frugal meal. I have not had any this week yet, but I did make the pasta with the creamed spinach and my own grated parm cheese. Absolutely wonderful.

Well ladies, better go for now. Got to get dinner on the table and the dishes done.

Take care all!! Norma

Connie - sorry about the washer. The last appliances we bought came from Sears scratch and dent store. It was out of box, nothing wrong with it, but it was much cheaper. Something to think about!!!

Frugal today - had to pay health insurance at city hall. Stopped at another thrift store and found a really cut brand new summer top for $2.50. All meals from home. Made a delicious mexican style casserole tonight. Lots leftover!
I did cut the front grass today! Back still doesn't need it. Front looks so pretty. Had company for a while.
60, sunny, but breezy.
Hope you all had a great April Fools Day.

Cheryl, if I lived closer to scratch and dent I would have been there. I think the closest one is five hours away. I simply can not imagine washing 16 to 18 pair of jeans in one load. That is all the jeans we wear in one week. Any money we save on the water bill will go to the cost of the washer too. Dh I talked a bit before he had to leave and he is on board with the bugeting.

Also did the taxes. We owe on fedral but get a tiny bit back from state. Dh is upset but I will take it. It could have been much worse. I will say this, if your husband need surgery and will be off work (dh was off for six months) even if your company has disability insurance, go to work. I should have. Dh
