Good evening everyone. I hope everyone has had a good day. I finally got caught up on my laundry. I have the last load drying now. Of course, before bedtime it may be piling up again. I just know its a never ending battle around here.

Frugal is using up leftovers. In the morning, I need to chop up the dark turkey and measure it out for the freezer for pot pies. I will need to fix some other type of meat tomorrow so they don't complain too much.

It has been raining here and tomorrow we are supposed to get some snow.

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. I believe they are working because I have done so much better today. I still cough some but I haven't coughed nearly as much and I haven't coughed up any blood thank God. I do believe in the power of prayer.

Its hard to believe that we are going into the last month of this year. Seems like a very short time ago I was stating my money goals for 08 on here. I didn't do very well on those goals but I am thankful that my dh still has a job and that the bills have been paid this year. Sure, I wish I could have seen my savings account go up instead of way down but God is still good and I am still blessed no matter what my bank statement says.

Norma, I hope you are feeling better.

Connie, I hope you all get some good news about the job tomorrow. The truffles sound so good.

Mish, I do hope the guy comes to do the repair work tomorrow. Here where we live its hard to find anyone who still keeps their word on things work related but sometimes we do. I so appreciate a honest reliable worker.

Kathy, I hope your sore throat is feeling better.

Barb, good thinking on making the turkey stock for future use.

Linda, your house sounds like its ready for Santa. I bet its lovely.

Well I still need to empty the dw and fill it back up again. As we are eating up the leftovers we are having lots of dishes. For Christmas I may just buy some good sturdy foam plates I am not sure. I hope each of you have a good night.

Glad to hear you are feeling better today.

We are eating leftovers too although for dinner last night we caved and bought McDonalds fish sandwiches LOL!

Today has been pretty much piddling around the house, did have to run to the store to pick up a few things and napped, my back has been hurting alot today from all the lifting and moving, sweeping, dusting, etc. yesterday. Still more work to be done.. I need to get a new mop and mop the walls, it's blond panel wood and I swiped at a spot and see how dirty it is, ick!!

We have had our first sale at the new store, a candle wahoo! It's gotta be a lot better than that though, we'll see over the next 6 months. The other store sales were around $100 for the weekend.

I can't believe we are shutting down yet another section of our What Did You Do Frugal and starting a new one, time goes so fast when you are having fun.

Well better go, I need to get my craft room prepped for making candles tommorow. Take care my friends.

Anna

Thanks Barbzy, I like my hat to

Did you hear my screams from your house? Just mowed our lawn was hoping to get it done before it got to hot, bummer I'm the colour of a very ripe strawberry right now, so darn hot and the stoopid mower got kick after kick it kept conking out on me, was full of petrol so don't know what it's problem was .... still have back yard to do but will leave till this afternoon.
Time for a nice cool shower.

OSI congrats on all your good candle news.

... gotta find me that nice cold shower, have a good night all.

Well, out of the mouths of babes. Dd talked to her grandfather tonight. She writes up the local news ( gossip ) for two papers. Of course FIL didn't want to talk about the family dinner today..... I will be honest, Jasmine was feeling very hurt at the moment. FIL said he wished we could come but he didn't know with all the peanuts. She reminded him that meals can be peanut free, and why can't family work with us to make a holiday meal safe for her? Why Grandpa? Brother doesn't even know who his aunts, uncles and cousins are. Why does it have to be this way? My FIL was crying at the end of the conversation. Nothing was said in anger but in hurt. She has the right to feel the way she does. She has the right to respectly talk to her grandfather. And..... she is right. Lets just say there are some family members who are feeling mighty guilty tonight. Sadly it won't do any good. If dh gets this job, we will be leaving very very soon! If he doesn't get this job, then there are others and we will still be leaving. I hate to say this but I think it is way too late to fix anything. I am proud of my daughter! She spoke up, nicely. Before Stuie came she would have NEVER spoke up for herself. Change has been good for all of us and change will continue to be good for us. I am damn proud of my daughter!

Started on the truffles!

Oh Kathy! I wish I lived closer I would help you mow and kick the mower!!! Did you jump up and down and yell at it too? I would have.

Don't feel bad Anna we ended up getting Taco Bell last night though I did have coupons for 2 free tacos so it only cost us $10. Just didn't feel like making spaghetti that I had planned on, so had that today for lunch with leftovers for dinner. Fixed a casserole for tomorrows dinner with the inlaws using up the last of Thanksgiving.

Will soak beans tomorrow for Tuesday's dinner, ham & 13 bean soup. Will pull out the leftover corn bread that I had froze when I made chili the other week.

I need to place my Angel Food order for December before the week is out. Have to decide if I want one or two orders to eat in Jan.

Well I need to get the dishwasher running, dd1 loaded it but is always best to check it first LOL I can generally get a bit more in it.
