My word, Anna! What a shock that must have been, having the police with someone in your yard. I can't imagine! It sounds like the police in your area keep a good watch on your neighborhood. Thank goodness.
Barb, smart thinking to have an alternate plan for your meal...sounds just delicious, as your meals always do!
Lisa, I was just going to ask if some of those things included t.p. Have you thought of adding that to your Christmas wish list? Great job on saving at the store, by the way.
Butterfly, I am going to google Spring Harvest when I am finished posting. I am looking forward to reading about it! Oh, I love the Songs for the Shepherd cd...some really great songs on that one. I was reading somewhere that his wife, Melody, still keeps his ministry going-I think it is called Greensong Ministries. If a person can't afford to buy his music they can contact her and she will give cds out for free. I thought that was really a nice thing to do. What colors are you doing your blanket in?
Mish, your cookies sound so yummy and what a smart idea to freeze them individually for lunches...love that!
Denahowy, good job on reusing things around the house!
Frugal today hasn't been anything particularly eventful, really. I am almost finished with my first dishcloth. It is a tea cup design. I thought it would be really easy, but made several mistakes and had to do some ripping out. I think I have it now, though. For lunch we had ham salad on some homemade rolls that were in the freezer. Just laying low 'til payday!
God bless, my friends, and have a wonderful day!
Jamie.
Gals I forgot something. For those of you making apple pie filling - here's something else I do.
I keep all the scraps, peels, cores, etc. and place them in a gal. bag in freezer. This winter I will have free potpourri. Add a few strips to a small pan of water with a little vanilla or cinnamin and you have fresh baked smells throughout the house.
I can't believe I forgot this point.
I hate to waste anything!!!!!!.

Lisa, my store marks down the meat in the mornings also but I live 20-25 minutes away and don't often get there for it. This week though they had whole chickens for 77c a lb. so I got 2. I'm roasting one for dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy tonight.
Little Debbie Snack Cake review, Chocolate chip muffins, small but very good when heated in microwave for 15 seconds. Cinnamon french toast pastries, nasty, don't waste your money like I did. Will be sending those to grandkids or someone, get them out of here. It's been warm and I didn't want to heat up the kitchen baking the past few days, should have made jello or pudding instead of buying junk. Today it's cooler, hence the roasted chicken dinner.

Butterfly, I checked out Spring Harvest. Wow, it sounds like a wonderful ministry! Have you ever attended any of their conferences? Sorry to hear about your computer crash...hope it's an inexpensive, easy fix.
Karen, that was a good planning ahead to purchase the stove. It looks so cozy from the picture.
Cheryl, great idea to save the peelings. I will remember to do that.
Karen,The heater is very pretty.
Jamie,So sorry you had some problems with the tea towels but glad you are able to fix it.
