For those of you that go to Goodwill and come home empty handed, you can take Zac with you next time, I guarantee you won't leave empty handed! He loves the little bin at our Goodwill with the little toys, the little animal figures, and the matchbox cars! Than there is the stupid McD's happy meal toys, 50 cents!

Kathy sorry the cat dug up your plants, dang cat!

Ellen, congrats to you and your girls for them having and keeping jobs! My older two seem to think they should run the places they work, and can't keep jobs!(sigh)

Lisa and Mish, a flash drive? Oh my gosh! I wish the computers would go back to using the floppy disks, that would eliminate the need for a flash drive! But, I know what you mean by a low income area, that is basically what we are in also, although, i think many places at the time are low income!

Lee, eggs for $1 a dozen! I wish I could find a deal like that, we go through so many eggs.

Frugal, last night we had a clean out the fridge night for supper. There is still more in there for tonight. I am about out of soda, was going to stop after soccer practices last night, but, it was raining too hard, so now I will have to make a run today.(yuck)

My accidental frugal yesterday was a loaf of bread. I bought some frozen loaves. I got one out yesterday morning to bake with supper. And it didn't rise in time for supper. But, when we got home from practice last night it was ready, so I popped it in the oven, and everyone had an evening snack of bread, DH made a sandwich. I am thinking this would be a good idea for this winter and keeping the heat turned down before bedtime, as the oven heats up the home.

I will see what today's frugals will be.

Good Morning Everyone

Wow! October is here already. One of my sisters birthdays is on the 10th, already have her card I usually buy her a gift certificate to Kohls this year I think I'll just send her a check and let her shop where she wants, saves me time of making a trip to Kohl's for the card. This is the sister I'm still not speaking to.

You all have been doing so good being frugal, wish we had a frugal star to hand out. I went to Krogers bought Windi's meds. and came home didn't even look in the store to see if there were any bargains. Dh filled up at lunch yesterday instead of waiting for me to use the discount at Krogers so we may have lost the 20 cents off per gallon but I didn't look to see what gas prices were at Krogers so ??? don't know if we saved or not. My truck is on 1/4 of a tank so I'll need to fill it up on Friday before I make my trip to the candle suppliers, ouch! that's gonna be a expensive trip as I'm out of alot of things.

Frugal today will be staying home, need to run across the street to Aldi's for butter and sour cream.. we're having chicken breast sandwiches for dinner with baked potato and cole slaw but have run out of those items. So I guess about $3.00 will be spent today.

I'm busy working on packaging up my stuff for our show and making a few of the small guest soaps, yesterday I did White Diamonds dup. scented soaps. Today French Vanilla and Jovan dup. then working a little more on the Ohio Weathermen, still haven't put the googly eyes on or the tags.

Wow! that is a substantial savings on the soda, good going. Reminds me I need to make up Koolaid so dh won't drink as much soda in the evenings. I've been rather slack about that this past week.

Charlotte

Wow! that is great you found the radiator on ebay, never would have thought to look on there for a radiator. I know we bought one earlier this year and with installation was over $400 and then the dang car bit the dust a few weeks later. Not related to the radiator, the whole undercarriage broke. We do wonder if all the jostling from putting in the radiator may have broken it but can't prove it.

Good morning ladies. My frugal will be staying home and cooking from home. I have plenty of housework and washing to keep me busy. I just filled out a walmart survery and looked over my receipts to make sure I was charged right on groceries. I was upset to find out last night that my treat (The All You Magazine) had went up in price. It went from 1.97 to 2.49. Walmart does give a discount so that helps but its just one more thing that the price has went up on. I bought my ds a light but what seems like warm jacket yesterday. It is cold this morning and I was glad I had bought it. He needs other clothes but I was thinking maybe to try to get something each payday for awhile instead of trying to get everything at once.

Connie, I hope your dd's doctor appointment goes good.

Ellen, your dd's are very responsible. You have taught them well.

Charlotte, good job on the radiator savings.

Karen, you have really cut down on your bill. Thats a good idea to put the money you are bringing in for the extra fun things and Christmas. We have cut down on pop but haven't cut it out completely.

Karen, the bread sounds wonderful. That smell when its first done is great.

Anna, your candles and soap sound wonderful. I hope you have record breaking sales this year.

Well have a wonderful day.

Frugal here, eating some leftover spaghetti with italian sausage for lunch. I'm taking buttons off of old clothes that are no longer worn. I gave away a shirt to my sister yesterday, as it was too big for me and it just fit her. I've been cleaning out closets, the garage and sorting through things. Getting ready for Fall pickup in our area which is either this month or next month not sure which it is. I have to look about that. I hope everyone has a great day. God bless.

Ellen,You have raised 2 girls who are very responsible way to go.
Karen,Way to go on stopping drinking the pop and cutting back on your grocery bill too.You are wise to separate the money so you will have a fun account andone for bills too.
Denahowdy,Way to go on the fall cleaning on your end.
Charalotte,Way to go on getting the raditer off of ebay.
Karen,Your bread does sound yummy.
Anna,At least aldis is across the street from you and you won't need to spend any money on gas.

It is very cool here today too… in fact I have one of my thrift store sweatshirts on this morning. Good thing though is the AC is off. We had it on last night but it didn’t kick on at 70 so dh was comfortable. Watch out at Sam’s for all those items that fall in your shopping cart LOL!
Ellen
That is highly commendable that your girls are such good workers and planning out their purchases.
Denahowy
That is a good idea about cutting the buttons off old clothes, buttons are so expensive anymore.
Jean
Thanks for the good wishes on our candles and soaps, so far we’re doing pretty good… that one big order for the 20 peppermint candles helped out a lot. Sales should remain steady, I was hoping for bigger sales but this thing with Wall Street has everyone scared. Dh said people are panicking too much, you still have the same amount of money you had yesterday. Of course it worried us too the other night when they had the speech but we are just trying to spend our money wisely and keep our bills caught up, that’s the most important thing… everything else can wait.
I thought about the menu planning and decided to make spaghetti instead… I have all the items on hand to make that including a few pieces of frozen garlic bread so we’ll have that instead of me going to the store. Tomorrow we’ll have chili with corn bread so again no money should be spent.
