Last night I ordered four books from paperback swap for Christmas gifts! Very excited about that. I do love exchanging only books for the four of us at Christmas. My dh is a lousy shopper.

Love the pictues everyone!!

I am nervous about tomorrow. A lot of work for the four of us. I am also nervous..... what will people think when they see NO community involvement?

I made up scrapbook pages yesterday of the last year of us as a family. I some of the kids senior pictures too. They are great! Shows our life.

Better go eat some breakfast!

This made my day! A friend of dd's sent it to me. She lives in Sri Laka, I don't know how to spell it!

Four Things You Cannot Take Back

The stone, after the throw.
The word, after it is said.
The occasion, after the loss.
The time, after it is gone.

Did Anyone Ever Tell You
Just How Special You Are
The Light that You Emit
Might even Light a Star

Did Anyone Ever Tell You
How Important You Make Others Feel.

Somebody out here is Smiling,

Because of something you said or something you did!

Did Anyone Ever Tell You that Many Times When They were Sad Your E-mail made Them Smile. In Fact, It made Them Glad.

Did Anyone Ever Tell You
Just How Much They Like You.
Well, My Friend, Today I am Telling You.
I believe that without a friend you are missing out on a lot!!!

Have a nice day, and I'm glad we are friends!!!

THIS IS A HAND OF FRIENDSHIP

Anna is that a mardi gras mask? That's a very nice picture, she looks like such a sweetie! On the computer issue, that would be a truly nasty thing for your internet provider to do!

I'm up and functioning. We're going with dbf to go watch his daughter cheer lead at her school, I'm surprised 8 year olds can be cheerleaders but, that just goes to show what I DON'T know!

Gotta run, will be back later on.

Lisa

Good morning, friends! Another busy day here for me. I'm hoping to get myself organized today. I need to rework my budget since DH now gets paid once a month instead of twice a month. I also plan on cleaning out the coat closet today and sorting through hats, gloves, scarves, etc. to see what shape everything is in. A local business is having a coat drive for our local mission and I'm sure I'll have quite a few things for them. I broke down and bought myself a new winter coat a couple of weeks ago, and DH got a new one this year also.

Lisa, it is certainly not too early to start buying Christmas stamps. I plan on sitting down this weekend and getting my Christmas lists organized. Since I'm planning on making a lot of my gifts this year, I need to get lists made (not to mention get started making them!)

Gloria, congratulations on your win! That class sounds like so much fun!

Jacki, I hope your dreams become reality and DH gets your new stove installed. How was the Halloween potluck?

Lisa and Anna, love the pictures! Thanks for sharing.

Connie, good luck tomorrow. I hope all goes well. Great idea about the scrapbook pages!

Jean, I love sandwich nights! It's refrigerator buffet night here!

Linda, I've been meaning to ask you - where in NE Mississippi do you live? I lived in Collierville, TN for four years, probably right down the road from you!

Well, I better get my butt in gear. I'm stripping beds today and hanging sheets outside to dry. Only a few more nice days so I'm trying to get as much laundry done as I can.

Talk to you all later.

Kathy

Was paid $27 for the 2 days of childcare yesterday. Should get about $60 next week as I'll have all 5 kids for half of the time since there is no school.

Looks like the phone has finally bit the dust after taking a power surge 12-18 mionths ago. So will be picking up one today with the extentions as there is only one phone jack between the kitchen, living room, office.

I need to come up with Christmas gift ideas for the inlaws and my dad. I don't know if I will include his gf since her name in never included on cards/gifts dad gives us. I had planned on giving a photo album of our new house and life. Since we are still here I can't do that. They may get senior pictures. Honestly I don't even feel like I want to give either of them anything. They go to so much work for our gifts. Call me scrooge today! Yes, I think senior pictures of the kids will be a nice enough gift. I will even frame them.

Good morning everyone. Today has started out weird. I got up at 6 to get the guys off on their deer hunting trip and then around 9:30 went back to bed. Got back up around 11 so I am a little out of sorts.

Lisa, your dd's are so pretty and sweet looking. I know you must be so proud of them.

Anna, I love your picture with your sweet little friend. Looks like you all were having a good time. I think when I read about your candle scents how it makes me want something sweet to eat or something warm and nice to drink. They just sound so so good.

Connie, what a sweet poem.

Kathy, good luck getting everything organized. It will be nice to give the winter things you don't need to those who do.

Roberta, good going on the extra money from babysitting. I am happy for you.

Well its the first of Novemeber and I have to admit I have been bitten by the holiday bug today. I was flipping thru the channels on tv and oh how I wanted to see a good Christmas movie. I need to get to thinking about holiday gifts too.

Mish, I am so glad you had a good time with your mom.

So far I really haven't done much. I made ds bed up, picked up the house a little and washed two loads of clothes. I did use cold water on one and hang it up. Frugal will be fixing lunch and supper here whenever the guys are around. I woke up at 11 and thought oh I need to go get my fur baby out of her lot and then remembered I already had earlier. I just feel so glad to be alive today. I have a thankful heart this morning. I was thinking of things this morning to thank God for and its amazing once you start you realize just how blessed you really are. I hope everyone has a great day and weekend with your family. I will check in later.

Good afternoon all!!

I am home after the run for the pet food, and Bed Bath & Beyond. I got the under the door draft thingies, and then a little more.

Now I am home for the weekend, except to go get newspapers, gas and church tomorrow.

Lisa, and Anna, all the kids looked great. Anna, it is fun to dress up as an adult too!!

Kathy, you will find your balance again.

Jean, I am glad that you are obviously feeling better too. It is great to be able to just look at the sun shining on the trees and houses, and the road, and be grateful for that, along with everything else in life.

Well ladies, I am going to try to finishing sewing those crochet squares into the strips that I need then to sew together. So I am off here. I just made hot dogs for lunch, and will have the rest of the chicken and rice for dinner later on.

Take care all!! Norma

Good morning, everyone! It is a gorgeous day, blue skies and close to 70*. I love it. We will just be hanging around here today, except to pick up the dgks after while. Frugal for me will be fixing all our meals at home and I already have some laundry hung out on the line.

Lisa, what a good picture of your girls! They look like they are really enjoying themselves.

Jean, we have sandwich night around here too, I love sandwiches. I'm glad all of you are enjoying the corn, the food is better when you put it up yourself!

Erika, I think it was nice of you to take your ex trick or treating with your girls, I'm sure they enjoyed it. Sometimes, you just have to ignore people and do what is best for your kids. You're not ever going to please everyone. Hugs.

Awww, Kathy, hang in there. lol You're right, you start cleaning and end up with a bigger mess, little by little you will get it organized.

Anna, great picture. Madyson is a doll!

Connie, relax! It will all work out tomorrow. You are in my prayers.

Kathy, We are about 40 miles east of Tupelo, right on the Mississippi-Alabama border. Is Collierville close to Memphis?

Jean, thank you. Your post really touched my heart...it truly is amazing how blessed we are. Hugs.

Talk to you later.
Hugs, Linda

The first seven cakes are baked! Three angel food cakes to bake yet. So far so good. Gregg talked to a friend who has been trying to get us some people help. Doesn't sound like he got us any. I do have it organized enough so we can do it alone. It makes me mad that we have to do alone. My house smells good!
