Lisa,Good thinking on getting the stamps.
Frugal for me?Well I did stay at school and then went to kmart to return the costume so that was 18.54 back in my pocket. Then I went and got dhs prescption and then went to wm to spend 8.00 there.I had to skip Sams as I didn't have my card but that is ok,.My mom is here and we are having alot of fun.
The kids had alot of fun at the party at school too.I need to go as trick or treating will start up soon.
Mish
Way to go, Barb, on saving the tree!!! You are one clever lady! Glad you are feeling better.
Chris, I wanna see the hair, too! That sounds like so much fun.
Mish, how wonderful that you are going to get to spend the day with your mom! Have a great time.
Denahowy, sounds like you and your mom got some really great deals at the yard sale
Kathy, I'm sure your neighbor won't mind you cutting down their tree, You have to get your laundry dry! lol
Karen, Happy Birthday to your dd! I hope you got her present in time.
Jacki, of course girls can dream! Crossing my fingers that he gets your projects done...
My dh has really surprised me with all he has gotten done this week. Of course he isn't working...but I guess you can't have everything! lol I told him that I am right proud of him and when he runs out of ideas, I will make him a list! lol He just grinned at me.
Barb, bet your hair looks cute. It is a shame that everything seems to be going up, but you're right, $15 is not bad.
Sueanne, great deal on the peppers. When we had an excess from our garden, I cut quite a few up and froze them, comes in handy for cooking.
Lisa, i'm not going to shoot you over the Christmas stamps, I bought some yesterday! We've got to plan ahead! lol
I hope your dd1 has a great time at camp and the goodie bags sound great. Have a good time with the trick or treating!
Anna, I would love to be around when you are making your candles, I bet it smells heavenly.
I'm glad your dh was able to fix your computer.
Gloria, the Holiday Baking Class sounded like so much fun. And winning a prize, I would have been thrilled, too. Like you, I never win.
Mish, I'm glad your kids had fun partying at school. Have fun with the trick or treating.
One more time...Happy Halloween !!!!!
Hugs, Linda

We had a Halloween luncheon also - a pot luck. I was shredding cabbage, chopping onions and apples at 5:30 this morning. Some people dressed, but most of us didn't.
Yesterday, my boss bought pumpkin and apple pies, along with ice cream. He did "Freaky Friday" a day early as he was out of town today.
Glad everyone is doing ok here.
Anna, I totally forgot to congratulate you on getting the labels for so litle at Office Max. we have Office Depot and Staples around here. Not as many bargains at either as there used to be.
I need to go to Bed Bath and Beyond tomorrow. They have the draft dodger things that slide underneath the doors for $9.99. I have coupons that will bring the cost down some, and I need 2. And I need to get cat food. But that is the only money that I will spend tomorrow.
Grubs got my lettuce, weird ate one pot but not the other with the same thing in it!
My cherry tomato tubs are going great with many that just need ripening now.
Frugal this weekend is making a cake or 2 and cleaning up my sewing room to sorta take stock of what I have.
A large newspaper called me tonight, wanting a live interview, next week. We are excited about it. A challenge is the reporter wants to interview friends/family who have seen the change in dd since Stuie came into our lives. That will be tricky. I don't know who to ask..... I posted on my blog about it. Maybe someone will want to give (nice) input? God will provide.
Kathy, I cleaned my sewing room, had it looking pretty good. Today I decided to put all the paperback swap books, there, along with all the donations to thrift store and items we have for sale. It is a pit now. lol

Connie, that's fantastic! I'm sure you will work the details thru.
Bilby, the grubs got my pumpkins! I'm sorry they got your lettuce.
Gloria, the class sounds like it was such a good time! I'd like to do something like that.
The girls had a great time, have enough candy to make them happy, then we stopped at my mom's and they handed candy out there, sitting in chairs on the front porch, ooh'd and aah'd over the little kids coming up for candy. We're home, I ordered pizza and that's been tackled, dbf is working on putting up the new shed he bought for his automotive stuff. It feels weird that Halloween is about over.
Here's a pic of the girls. Hope you all had a good night!
Gloria, the cooking class sounded like so much fun. Good for you, on winning things too.
We went to the po to buy stamps but they were closed for lunch. I still have two things that need to be mailed so I am going to have to get some more stamps soon.
A very unfrugal day here. I wrote out the bills and went grocery shopping so yeah I am low on money again. Oh well, thank God I had it to write out those bills and to buy food. I did something I have not done in many years. I bought me a winter coat. It was high but I did save 60.00 so that was good. Hopefully, it will last a long time.
Jacki, I am glad you are getting some much needed rain. How did the potluck dinner go?
We didn't have any trick-or-treaters. I have already ate too much candy. I need to quit. I think my blood pressure medicine has kicked in because I was very weak today. The nurse said it would make me feel weak until my body got used to it.
We ate lunch at Arbys today. It was under 17.00 for the 3 of us so not too bad. I have taken a liking to their turkey subs. We used to go to BK but the last few times we have ate there I haven't been satisfied with my food or the atmosphere. For supper, I fixed bologna sandwiches for dh and ds along with beef stew for whoever wanted it. I fixed myself a grilled cheese sandwich. I was really hungry and I do believe it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever ate. I told the guys I was tired and I would not be cooking. Sometimes sandwich night is alright in my opinion.
Denahowy, good going for you and your mom to get the great deals you got.
Bilby, it seems so strange that you are growing your vegetables when our weather is getting colder here. Enjoy, them.
My family has really been enjoying the corn we put up in the freezer this week. I told dh I would like to have a freezer full of corn. Its just so much better than the canned stuff from the store plus you don't have all the salt and perservatives in it.
Frugal today was using the free bread from fil for our sandwiches, free deodorant, toothpaste and razor when showering.
Chris, you will have to fill us in on your day at work in the 80's style.
Well girls lets meet here tomorrow to start a new month. Have a good night.
Jean

Yep getting into the hot dry weather before the hot humid weather LOL hot and windy today, summer is a comin'!
Connie the trouble with my sewing, craft room room cleaning, is sorta like yours, you start out then something else comes along and before you know it it's an even bigger mess. I had high hopes but they are being dashed!
I ended up sorting out my craft stamps and papers, sigh. Still there is tomorrow ......
Dh is puzzled with our computer... it is going so slow and then all of a sudden it's zipping right along. He checked to defrag it this am but it said it didn't need it. I'm really frustrated with the darn thing just don't know what to blame. I kind of suspect the cable company has deliberately slowed it down as they now have a newer version for $10 more, AOL did that a long time ago. We'll see but ladies just bear with me if I don't respond as quickly as normal.
Paco
Yes, the house smells wonderful when I'm making the candles or pouring the oils... awhile back I had to run to a small drug store and the cashier said "Oh you smell wonderful, what is that lotion?" I said "hmm... sugar cookie? and explained to her it was oil that must have absorbed into my clothes LOL! We're off here in a bit to our store and then R&R this afternoon/evening. All meals will be at home today, lunch will be the BBQ turkey sandwiches.
Lisa
The girls look darling in their halloween costumes.
Jean
I agree, frozen corn is a huge amount better than canned corn, so much sweeter and crisp. We never ever buy canned veggies unless it's chili beans.
Well I better go, need to light the fire under dh as he is still lounging in bed and need to load up the car, lots to do before we head out on the road.
Take care my friends.
Anna
