Good morning to everyone.

Lee, welcome back. Are you still running a day care for young children? Hope you get better soon.

Lisa, enjoy your day off. I bet you work hard anyway because there is always work at home to do.

Happy Birthday Butterfly. I hope you have a wonderful blessed day.

I cooked breakfast for dh and ds and they are gone to school and work. I started picking up the house a little and then went to the garden. I have picked some corn and I am getting ready to go clean it. The ears aren't very big on most of them and I don't think they will be much but I will see.

Frugal is staying home and cooking all meals from home.

Have a good day everyone.
Jean

Kathy someone here fills my sink with dirty dishes too!
Lisa, I wish I had a day to myself!
Lee, dh had a lot of artritus scraped off his a/c joint. It has pained him a lot too. Hugs.
Again dh's paycheck wasn't right. He blew up at me, when I pointed it out. sigh. There should be a law about husbands being off work for this long. I still wish he would volunteer his time at the gun shop. They could donate money to the Stuie fund instead of paying dh.
I have a appt to cut my hair so that is my treat for the day.

I've never heard of scrapping arthritis out of a joint before.

I don't think men handle being out of work well and any extra stress just makes them blow their tops. At least that is the case for my DH.

I know what you mean, if my husband is off work for a while, he gets bored and has to find something to do. If he can't do something outside because of weather, look out the furniture gets moved. I've awakened to the furniture in other places in the living room. Also he moves the bedroom furniture sometimes when I'm in the living room. Then he wonders later why his back hurts, LOL. He was laid off one Summer and I started a project and he ended up taking over and finishing it. As he needed something to do. Husbands are great in small doses, LOL. I think everyone has been there when you are thrilled to death to have them home and sick to death and want them at work. Hope you hair appt. goes good.

Hope everyone has a great day. God bless.

Roberta, I never heard of it either till the dr. told me after my surgery he did it! I went in for my awful hideous bunion removed!

I remember when dh was laid off, his thing became breadmaking and maybe its because the boys were young it wasnt so bad having him home. NOW though oy I cant imagine.

Happy Birthday, Butterfly!! I hope your birthday is as sweet as you are!
Lisa, enjoy your free time! It sounds very relaxing.
Frugal for today is staying home and not spending money anywhere. Dinner is going to be a large chicken salad and lemon bars for dessert. Also made some quick breads to store in the freezer-banana and apricot-to have on hand for breakfasts and also some different types of trail mixes for snacking. Lunch for today will be chili from last night's dinner. Other than that, a coffee break and I need to get a little cleaning accomplished. Well, better get myself moving. Take care and I hope everyone has a blessed day today!
Jamie.

My EX was really bad he loved being at work. He was in the Army and when we would take a 30 leave he was okay as long as we were coming and going to diff family or places. But once we got back home if there was any days left even just two he would sign back in off leave and go to work. He also had a part time job driving a limo and or cab depending on where they needed him. So I know what you guys mean they do get very bord very quick.
Frugal for me today is staying home (tho' I had a chance to get out lol) and took Sketti sauce out of freezer for our supper. NO ordering in of anything I will stand my "ground"

Well I finished the corn. I put 32 ears in the freezer. Most of them are small but thats 32 ears I didn't have before. The kitchen smelled like sweet corn and I love that smell.

I have washed up a bunch of dishes and cleaned some on the floors. Frugal was using my free samples to clean up with. I am baking a sticky chicken for supper. I will fix corn, leftover green beans and maybe bake a few potatoes. My back is hurting and I feel very tired.

Jamie, your breads sound so good.

Connie, I hope the hair appointment goes good for you.

On husbands being home my husband works long hours usually at least 12 hours at a time sometimes more but because of that he gets a lot of days off. He works half the time and is off half the time so it works out real good for us.

Well my son should be here soon so I will check in later. I always like to find out about his day.

Jean, I love the smell of sweet corn!

I've managed to get laundry going, cleaned the kitchen up, vacuumed & dusted the living room, went to the bank, went and got my sticker for my license plates, paid a bill, went to Aldi, put groceries away, picked up mom for lunch (Cracker Barrel), paid another bill, dropped her off at home, did some more laundry and now about ready to go get the girls from school. We also have the store run to get dd3 a new backpack and some dog food for the critters. Supper tonight is going to be spanish rice with chicken strips in it, green beans and maybe some brownies if I get them made, lol.

Gotta fly, time to get the girls. Oh and guess what, even with all I did today I still would rather be here than work!!!!

Hugs,
Lisa
