Jean,That is ok.I wish I had a line for the clothes to be outisde,
Barb,I think you have a good plan for printing off stuff from school.Good luck with the web site.
Gloria,You gave some good ideas for gardening.
Frugal for me?We are skipping Taw Kaw doe tonight.Dh seemed to like his cards and his shirt.I just hope today was ok for him.It is going to get nice and cool here tonight.
Mish
I checked with my battery expert, my dh, and he says use the fridge not the freezer. The freezer might cause the cells to fracture and split.
Dh has a shake flashlight. I think he likes it, but I don’t like the shaking, its silly but I think the bulb will break, but it won’t, it’s an LED. It uses a big capacitor not batteries. For 20 seconds of shaking he gets about 20 minutes out of it. He thinks it is handy. It would work better in a car in the winter than one with batteries. But it depends on how cold it gets.
I shared some coupons with a gal at work, she runs a beagle rescue.and uses the pedigree dog food for the beagles.
Lisa, you may have a new business! Those faux bricks look great! I’d like to try it on our house. I really love the colors of your dds bedroom, the curtains are pretty with the sun shining through them. Nice black lump of a cat too!
Lee sorry to hear about your grammy.
Cau, oh my oh my! Anyways, my second mother had special shoes, they come in some nice styles now so I hope all goes well in November.
Chris, thanks for the reminder, fall is here already when the gardencenters put their plants on discount! sometimes I tap out the plant and look at the roots to see how healthy they are. I wonder though if the garden clerks mind. I guess if I broke the plant then I buy it!
I missed my $5 off an oil change AGAIN! That was not very frugal.
But I did pull two yogurt containers out of the trash for recycling. We can recycle any plastic with a neck smaller than the container so those drinkable yogurts qualify now.

I too am sorry to hear of the loss of your grandma... and hoping you can remember all the good times during the sad days to come.
Lisa
Very pretty comforters for the girls room, nice and cheery.
Barbzy
That is a excellant way to both recycle and save money printing on both sides of the paper.
Nothing too overall frugal here.. made the cake with items on hand, it was yellow butter cake w/strawberry whipped frosting, I've had that mix here for over a year same with the frosting. I took a nap and woke up with a tummy ache ate too many food combos today, ice cream and tomato juice too close together I'm thinking. So I went next door to the gas station and bought a 7Up felt much better.
And more saga in the neighborhood... I went down to visit with 2 of the elderly ladies and one of them's grand daughter and her bf were there, her bf ask me if I knew this older man standing beside him at the end of the drive, I didn't. He was very confused, one eye was kind of curled up like when you have had a stroke as well as one of his hands and arms, he didn't know where he lived. They had called the police but they weren't there yet so Mark called the paramedics. The guy next door's brother came out to see what was going on he is a sargeant with the Sheriff's office so he came over and tried to talk to the guy too, the paramedics came and took him to the hospital. They suspect in his younger days he was probably a "huffer" sniffing glue or something is what they told Mark, said that is what it does to your body over time. So sad!

Anna that's so sad about the man. People don't think to the future when they're just craving the "high". But your cake sounds wonderful and delicious!
Ellen, yep, my lump of a cat, Evan or Mommy's Precious Angel Baby. If you say that he throws himself at your feet, too funny, but he HAS to jump in that window! Thank you for the compliments. I'm making a portfolio type scrapbook of my painting accomplishments, that way if I am able to do this for a living I can show people what I can do!
Frugal was making spaghetti and garlic bread for supper. We did have to go back to WalMart as dd1's teacher told each English student they have to have a flash drive. Give me a freaking break! I was going there anyway to get dd2's glasses, checked and dd1's contacts were in so at least things got accomplished but hadn't expected to pay $13 for a flashdrive!
I probably shouldn't be on here long. We've got a thunderstorm rolling in and cable is acting up, we have a lot of lightning.
Will check in later if I have internet, lol!
Hugs,
Lisa

Boggs, happy belated birthday. I hope your family made it a special day for you.
Lee, so sorry on the loss of your grandma. I lost both of mine many, many years ago. They teach us many life lessons that our parents are too busy to. I was just talking about one of my grandmothers the other day. She wasn't a real good cook, but whenever my cousin and I were over, she always made wagon wheels (pasta), and marinara sauce (from a jar). This one taught me community, and to help whenever someone needs you.
Lisa, the painting is really nice. And so is the bedroom. I hope the dds like what you are dong.
Mish, I hope your tutor can make the schoolwork make sense to you. Glad you got that nap in too. Take one for me too, ok??
Well ladies, better go for now. I am about to fall over -but the hats are done. I can pm the directions to anyone interested.
Lisa, my dd has those sheets! I will check to see if we have a dust ruffle. I always buy them and dd hates them. Cool!! Your house looks so wonderful!!! Pat yourself on the back girl.
Cau, I have missed something. What type of surgery do you need? I am praying for you.
I clean three ceiling fans today. Three more to go!
I talked to XXX people in NYC today. They need more pictues of dd and of me.
Barb did you get the forms printed out? I reuse paper too. I also cut it up to make notepads.

www.answerbag.com has all kinds of thing about storing batteries and pretty much any other question you want to think of to ask. I love the site. I have been storing my batteries for years in the freezer and never had them seperate or break. So for me I will keep my batteries were I have be putting them for at least 20 yr now.
Didn't do much frugal things tonight. Went and ordered dd #2's class ring. That will be part of her christmas present this year. I think her ring cost the most out of all 4 children. Just because of the price of everything has gone thru the roof.
Lisa, the bricks are beautiful, and your home looks so cozy!
Lee, so sorry to hear of your Gram. You will be in my thoughts! I know you were close to her.
Anna, you really get involved with the scary stuff. Maybe that is all the better reason that I don't mingle much with the neighbors around here. (no really they just love drama so that is why I stay away)
With our shake flashlight the kids fight for it when they sleep out in the tent, as they know they can keep it on longer rather than a battery operated one that will die. Ours is not real bright, but works for walking around at night. We like to take it to the mountains where it is isolated, and don't have to worry about batteries.
Jeaneddete, I didn't know the Duggar family had a new show. I will have to try to catch it. They interest me also, DH hates to watch them, along with Jon and Kate + 8, he insists they are on welfare, and that is the only reason they can have so many kids. But, I think that the Duggars are a frugal family and that is how they afford, and Jon and Kate make money from their show, I guess as do the Duggars also, just not as many shows.
Barb, so what do the families do that don't have computers and/or internet with the school papers? That is so irritating with the schools thinking everyone has internet.
Cau, ouch on replacing the oven! YUCK
Frugal here, opening windows rather than using AC, it is so fall like here, more like late October rather than late September.
Line drying wash, I washed all bedding yesterday, except blankets, and everyone's room smelled so wonderful last night, even after the windows were closed!
And have been cooking from home. I overslept this morning, so DH had to stop at the MAC for cash for today. Lesson learned, I will try to put his lunch together in the evening, rather than when I make his breakfast, at least than he will have a lunch.

When I was young, I always said I wanted to be someone...I guess I should have been more specific!
Yes it does seem our neighborhood is overactive at times and I always seem to be in the middle of whatever is going on LOL! Honestly I had no idea when I walked over there that anything was out of the normal, it looked from my house just like a normal all the neighbors getting together to visit. I am one of the youngest in our neighborhood besides Melissa (across the street) and Cindy (3 doors down) and Mary (next door) all 3 work during the day so the elderly folks who know I'm home all the time look to me when there is a problem in the neighborhood. While I was over there last night I had Julie the grandaughter put her phone number in my cell phone along with her aunt and Dad so that if something would happen to their grandma I'd be able to reach one of them.
I truly do like being able to help out in my community and the older man, Mark was to check with his brother who is a paramedic to see if they could get follow up info. on what happened with the old man.
Frugal today will be staying home till this evening when dh gets home then going to Krogers to pick up Windi's meds and fill up the car, I have 20 cents off per gallon discount this week. Gas was cheap here yesterday as low as $3.35 but with the market plummeting yesterday I suspect it won't be cheap today.
More frugal today: dh commented this morning about since I've been making soap, his clothes are so soft from me using the leftover slivers in his laundry so this morning I gathered up a tub of scraps and have them in the crockpot melting with water to make a couple gallons of laundry soap, using leftover gallon water containers I save when I buy dh's distilled water for his machine and ones I buy water for drinking in. I've switched from buying those big 24 packs of water bottles to gallon sized I can usually get those at Walmart for around $1.00 just fill a cup instead of using a plastic bottle.
