Lisa,So sorry that 2 of your dds are home sick with the flu.Hope your doctors appoimnet goes ok too.
Frugal for me?Last night the oldest watched the youngest for me and she did an ok job.Last night we got done with the band concert kind of early and the middle dd and I got out of there as fast as we could.Today I am going to stop at the bread store(It is time to go back to my more frugal ways) and also dropping off a bunch of toys/clothes for the Goodwill.I am also going to look for some stuff for 2 of the dds and for myself too.I also have my class but that is later on and I will be doing some testing. All in all it should be a fun day.

Hi, everyone!

Wow, Lisa, you have been like a woman possessed--lol!! You are accomplishing so much, and I'm glad to hear you are babying that arm! Oh, and the pics you posted of your daughter are wonderful!! She is such a beautiful and talented girl--you must be so proud!

Roberta--
You mentioned using the jams that don't set up as toppings for ice cream...a friend of mine makes strawberry jam each year, and I'm often there when she does it. Sometimes I think she makes a batch that doesn't set on purpose, just so we have an excuse to eat it with ice cream--lol!! It's so good!

The gas prices are sure getting scary, aren't they? And thanks for the heads up on the cash versus credit pricing--I can't remember who posted that, but I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye out for that.

Frugal here has been getting some lotion samples in the mail and using those. Also, Mom treated me to a Mother/Daughter brunch on Sunday at church. Not only was it a great meal, but we had a wonderful time!

Hope everyone is having a great day! "Talk" to you all soon!

Anna, do a google search on "liquid craft starch." I found a few names like Linit, and one made by Aleene's. I know craft stores have these.

Norma, I forgot to say congratulations on your prizes I know you'll put them to good use!

Jeandeanette, enjoy all that turkey!

Bluebird, I hope your DH is not in too much pain!

I know that the Shell station here has a sign "Cash/Shell Credit" is one price and "Other Credit Cards" is another price. I did find 2 gas stations today that do not have separate pricing. I also think Sam's doesn't have separate pricing. I don't know what the story is with debit cards. I could buy gift cards for the gas stations at our school scrip sale, but then I am stuck using certain ones.

DH called me a little while ago. He had a flat on the way to work (luckily not too far away). A guy from the department of transportation found him changing the tire and helped him out with his air tools. BUT 2 of the lug nuts broke off, so he had to bring his car to be repaired He was close to our regular mechanic so he called me to pick him up there. He will work from home today.

Thanks Barb

I'll check that out.

Frugal today? Mowed my own lawn at 8oam this morning. Getting ready to order Goat Milk to make homemade goat milk soap. I'm debating if I want to use tallow must check with my friend who makes soap to see what she uses. A lady at our gathering is offering both for sale, goat milk is $1.00 a lb. I think that is quite a bargain, waiting now to see how much my friend is charging and if she will actually bring it, she's been promising for a year.

I've also been working a little bit on my blue jean purses and debating bringing out my folding tables so I can do the final cut and measure for that blue jean quilt I've been working on since I think 2004?

Lisa

Sorry to hear the kids are sick hope they get over it quickly.

Anna

Subbing,
A light bulb moment for me, I used 2 old laundry detergent caps in the dryer with my towels and they came out soft as can be. Talk about cheap, , a happy camper now
