Bernice, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I'm happy you got to do what you want today!

You've all been so busy, not sure where to start!

Mish, I'm happy to hear your daughter is better. I'll keep praying for her.

FLFmom, poor kid! My girls have had that, lovely. I hope he feels better soon.

I know there are more, I'm sorry I didn't hit you all.

Well, he got the papers, the ones delivered to his mom's house. I've had 10 text messages, 4 voice mails on my cell and a long pity party email. He wants to know why I'm trying to destroy him, he has 6 credit cards, yada yada yada. I didn't tell him to get the credit cards did I? I only answered him saying 32% is the Illinois State average for three children, that's the minimum the judges rule on. I also told him that I'll check to see if he has to make the trip down if he sends the requested documents and signs an affidavit that all sent is true and exact copies and have it notarized. I've not yet heard back but I will. I do not want to talk to him on the phone, it's self explanatory.

But he did give me the sickest stomach all day, I was having a small anxiety attack when I finally had to go outside and make myself calm down. It ticks me off beyond belief that he can still get me that upset. It's ok though, I'll be ok. I did what was right for the kids, they need more than I can give on my own, they are growing like weeds, need clothes, are in activities and I just make it! Okay, I'm sorry, enough of my rambling.

I did go to the bank, his check was finally good and put that in the savings, just in case he stops payment, lol. I stopped at McDonalds and got a sweet tea and my free sandwich but my stomach was too upset to eat it, so it's in the fridge. I need to get off here and check on the lasagna in the oven. Hugs to you all my friends. And thank you so much for being there for me. It means more than you know!

Hugs all around,
Lisa

Mish, my payday is on the 15th and last day of the month, and DH's payday is every other Friday, so I generally expect that I will be paid on a Friday, if that makes any sense...

Lisa it will all work out. You have put up with a lot and shouldn't have to put up with any of that. It's not like you are doing a Dina McGreevy and asking for what's unreasonable! Has that case made the news outside NJ? She is suing her ex for the "lifestyle she would have had if she had continued as first lady in NJ." I think she wants $600,000 a year in cash and prizes.

Oh thank goodness the site is back up! Sheesh, I missed you guys the several hours it was down!

Barb, yes! I read about her, give me a dang break! Women like that give the women who are struggling a horrible name! Kinda like the one I'm being called by my ex...I can't even repeat that on here, it's a family show!

More emails but I'm good now, my resolve is even deeper. I talked with my brother last night, he unfortunately has to work at the same place as my ex, he was killing me with the tales of woe the ex is trying to lay on people. But the entire work force there that has put up with the ex told my brother, good for your sister! The ex even resorted to calling a co worker who just had one of these hearings and asked how he could get out of it. The man told him, you can't dude, you have to be responsible for your kids and pay your bills, you might as well send the paperwork, you'll just tick off the judge. I had yet another pleading email this morning, I print them out and add them to my folder.

Okay, let's see, frugal last night, made a wonderful lasagna, although I did have to buy most ingredients man that was good, if I say so myself. I had my hair done, cut and highlights, that was $30 so not too frugal but a lot less expensive than the salon's in the mall. Today I'll work thru most of my lunch, just have my co worker pick up a $1 chicken sammich (I'm going to sprout feathers, I swear it) and then have to leave to take dd3 to softball practice at the batting cages.

My sweet boyfriend did all of the laundry yesterday, folded it and had the girls put theirs away, he put his away and just put mine on the bed all folded. Bless his heart! Now if I could just get him to clean bathrooms and do dishes......LOL

I'm at work so I better get to working. Again, thanks for the moral support. You all really have helped me bolster my resolve, you, my loving family, boyfriend and my goofy brother who will be here for the hearing from Chicago to So. IL. He said he won't miss it for the world, plus he wants to be with me. Hard to believe that when we were kids I wish he would disappear! He has grown into quite a wonderful and responsible man. He has custody of his kids and does a dang good job.

Alright, NOW I'm going...Hugs to you all!

Lisa

Barb,It is nice to have the paycheck coming evey week. Can you do some tutoring over the summertime to help out with gas ans such?
Lisa,I am so sorry that your ex can still get you that upset. It sounds like it will all work out but you are right you need the money for the kids and as their father he should want to be a man and help you out.I am sure it will all work out.I am glad you got your haircut and highlighted I am sure it looks good.
Frugal for me?Well after I put 40.00 in gas I found out that my oldest teacher was helping out by driving the bus. I just knew that we should have called him last night to find out what was going on.So I am thinking that for today I will be home for the most part.I have plenty that can be done around here.I still need to get some flowers and hoping to get those sometime soon.Hopefully today will go better. And I am thinking that we will be at the ymca and swim there tonight. So far no complaints of not getting the pool pass I am just going to have to get more creative here but I am sure it will be ok.

Mish, generally this job is a "during the school year" job, and of course I only work when there is a student out who is taking a class that I'm certified to teach. But I need the flexibility of this schedule so that I can care for my family when needed, as we have no extended family here to depend on for child care. My DD missed so much school this year--it was good that I was able to be home for her.

Hi everyone. Well one of dh's co-workers came by and helped dh get the air conditioner in the window. I washed the filter and after it dries we can get that put in and put the front back on it. I have try to clean it but it still don't look so great. Its rainy and kinda cool today but I am sure we will be needing it before long.

We went to town to buy one cent stamps to go with my old stamps and mail out a lot of bills. We stopped at the dollar store and bank. I had a coupon to get a free chicken sandwich from McDonalds so we went around the drive-thru and got it. I had got a free chicken biscuit last Sunday and didn't like it at all but I liked the sandwich. It was nice to not pay anything and get a free lunch. I have another coupon for another free biscuit and sandwich.

Frugal today will be all meals from home and just keeping at my decluttering.

Lisa, I hope everything works out good for you. My sister has a daughter that is owed many thousands of dollars in back child support. Her ex lives in Florida and she can't hardly ever get him to do right by their child. I just don't understand any man who don't want to support their kids.

Well I will check in later. Have a good day everyone.

Hey friends, good news! I just got back from physical therapy, starting Monday I get to use strength training weights, woo hooo!!!

I'm great today guys, he's emailed a few more times, but it's not getting to me, the initial dread is over, I'm movin' on now!

Jean, that's great you got the a/c in. I'm just happy to have central air, very happy as most houses here have window a/c. But dbf is going to have to replace that wire that the puppies chewed or we won't have air! He really needs to move the fence over, it will be one of those last minute things, I know him too well! In fact today is our 9 month anniversary, of dating that is, lol!

Back to work for me, it's almost lunch time and for a change the sun is shining, it's beautiful!

Lisa

Lisa, good for you.. you sound like you are progressing well with you PT & now adding the weights Glad to hear it. Happy 9 mo's too !

Well, frugal for me was not spending anything.
I took 2 things back to target & put a microwave in my brother's apt (he didnt have one).
We ate lunch at home & I am taking my 2yo for a follow up from Monday. At least today we'll see his pedi instead of someone else. Also, my older ds had no goopy today at all, so maybe the antibiotic kicked in or it's draining elsewhere.

well, off we go!

Ellen

What a wonderful idea with the mint, I never thought to grow it inside or a container... I may do that too. I think dh finally killed my apple mint that took over our flower garden.

I haven't been on line today, it's been a busy day starting at 2am when dh had a nightmare, he dreamed we were being shot at and he was trying to protect me and grabbed my nightgown and tried to pull me down(reality here) with him, in the dream we were getting behind a car, LOL! real life he pulled me and rolled right off the bed, hit his chin on the bedstand, hurt his knees and back and scared the living daylights out of me!! No more violent late night movies for him (we watched the final episode of CSI last night). So anyways, he was and is still hurting pretty badly, he wasn't going to work but felt guilty and crawled in late and made up his time.

I went back to Walmarts as they were out of his Diet Rite yesterday... much worth the trip, local stores were $4.49 on sale, theirs was $2.66. I started a new price book to keep a more accurate comparison of the things we buy most often, Walmarts is coming out ahead right now.

Bernice

Happy Belated Birthday .

Jamie

Thank you for sharing that article about Amy from The Tightwad Gazette, I really have wondered since reading her books what happened to her and her family. Love that book!! I had never seen that website before either, so thanks again.

Well I'm off for now... we're going to Logan tommorow afternoon, dh is working OT in the am.

Anna
