Roberta, Hope your dh gets his medicine through the VA! My brother gets any meds he needs from them, he was discharged from the army for medical reasons tumor in his spine I really believe by being exposed to chemicals only because there were 2 men from his unit that were also diagnosed with the same condition one died! Anyway I am pretty sure all vets should be covered. My late FIL used to get meds there as well, he never tried while working but once retired he had no perscription coverage never had a problem!
Its snowing but not yet enough to shovel or use a snowblower!
Location: If not for irrigation it would be desert

Well good luck with getting benefits with the VA, I cannot say enough good things about the VA, my late 1st dh accessed the VA benefits. First having a kidney transplant , then cancer many yrs later. All meds were pd for , even traveling expenses . Can't remember who was chatting about them applying, but go for it .
Made some ham /egg salad for our dinner today, will put it on a bed of lettuce. For our supper will have hamb patties with some broccoli & cheese.
Have bible study tonight so will be having an early meal , Had snow overnight, but just a light dusting. It's cold tho, 23 degrees right now.
Enjoy the day everyone

Roberta, my Dh gets his meds throught the V.A. too. Some are free and the others are 8.00 for a 30 day supply. I don't know if you have to be on disability to get perscriptions filled there or not but I can ask him tonight when he gets home from school if you want. He works at the V.A. regional office part time so he could ask someone there if he doesn't know.
I have hardly been home for the last week. Momma has had so many doctors appointment that I hardly ave time to sit down. Her doctor thinks it might be the BIG C. We will know on Monday what the test results are.
We are getting a new BBQ this weekend. Ours is old. We go it free from a friend who got a new one 5 years ago and he had it 5 years before he gave it to us. So some family is coming out to our house on Saturday for a small get together. So that wont be very frugal. Not that we have been very frugal here lately. But will have to try harder to be frugal.
Thanks Emmjean, we go on Friday (he didn't want to go alone) so will see what is available to him. He has been out of the Air Force for 25 yrs or so and has never checked into benefits other than knowing he can have a military burial. My Dad has been getting all his medical care through the VA the last 10 yrs or so since his first heart attack.

Best wishes too on the VA prescriptions, every little bit helps that's for sure.

We've got the cold, bitter wind and light snow too but supposed to get rain and 50's tommorow. Our truck doors were froze shut this morning... Oh what a joy that little surprise was.
Well off for now.

That's great, Ericka! Congratulations!
Good luck on the VA, Roberta. I've heard good things, also. We've never used the VA, but my fil has had wonderful results with them.
Frugal today was staying home and making homemade soup in the crock pot. We had snow also, and couldn't get down the hill anyway. Happily, it has mostly melted now. Fed Ex came by with packages, so we got a very good workout carrying those up. lol Needless to say, I am exhausted! Take care and I hope you all have a great evening!
$2.88 a lb. for tipila fillets is cheap. I'm lucky to get them for $3.99 a lb. at Aldi's. Wonderful news Erica, congrats on a new little one to love.Frugal was Dh making soup for dinner tonight & dd & I will take it for lunch tomorrow. We have been really careful this week. Dd & dgd found a dog they wanted us to adopt but we held firm until summer when we are off to train it.
