I'm completly new to this forum but it looks like a very friendly place that people share tips and information with each other. If anyone would like information about working on thier own home, I would be happy to help you out.
Ericka, I'll be keeping you and your family in my prayers.
Went to Penneys yesterday and found 3 t-shirts for less than the price of 1. They were 70 per cent off. They are long sleeved and I can use them for work. About 5.33 a piece. And as I was walking through Sears to leave I spotted a velour lounge set, grabbed it for half off. They are still expensive around here. Best of all paid cash for stuff.
Welcome Aboard... we look forward to learning from you. Dh and I recently inherited a 1940's home and will slowly be remodeling it so it's nice to know I have an extra ear as we start the process.
Erika
You are in my prayers.
Frugal? Dh had leftover chili for dinner last night, I had garlic bread grilled cheese sandwiches and we both had a big salad. Trying very, very hard to make do with what we have instead of buying more stuff. Dinner tonight will be salmon steaks, salad, rice with broccoli.

The soaps are very easy, these are just a high quality melt and pour base that I buy from my candle suppliers 25 lb. blocks. I add Shea Butter to some, others are honey and oatmeal along with the fragrances. I'm thinking about offering some of the fragrances in the garage sale forum so people can make their own soaps too. You can buy the clear glycerin blocks at Michaels or Joann's but their fragrances are extremely limited.

Got to test out the repaired snowblower this morning. WOW it never started on the first pull brand new! And even though the snow was wet it didn't choke out.
BRING ON THE SNOW
FIL paid for pizza last night as the chicken I had thawing wasn't thawed enough to make chicken fingers so will have the chicken fingers tonight instead. In-laws will be eating with us most of the week as they guys have meetings all week. I will cut up the chicken breast and bread them this afternoon so when we get home later I just need to cook them.
Will be brewing iced tea and rolling cigs as well.
Erica, I hope all goes well with your daughter and her child.
Leighann, I understand your feeling on WIC, I go the end of the month for our 6 month renewal. Never did I think we would still NEED it but DH hasn't found anything but very temporary jobs. Oldest is on free lunch program at school as well so between the two programs it saves us $70. I look at it that I've have been paying into the system that supports those program for 25 years so now that we have a need I'll use it.
DH is finally going to the VA on Friday to see what benefits that he qualifies for. I will be thrilled if they cover the RX that he had been taking but we can't afford now.
