I'm in the market for a new vacuum cleaner. I know we discussed vacuums here before a little bit. Anyway, I started a thread here if anyone would like to put in their opinions about what I should look for/avoid. It's been over 10 years since I've bought a vacuum and they have changed a LOT.

Good morning!
Frugal for this week has been staying home and taking advantage of the nice weather by weeding the strawberry and flower beds. My parents are coming to visit in April and I want it to look nice. Also, I am planning to finish up on the freezer meals and do a little baking this afternoon. Take care and have a wonderful morning!

Good Morning :
I have the dang cold and sneezes again. This will be the 3rd time this winter. Seems like others in our community have the same problem, it keeps reaccuring.

Were to have another nice day, with temps in the mid 50's. Have put another bird feeder outside, so am attracting quite a few birds. All winter long had 2 prs of morning doves at the feeder.

Dh is going to seniors today to pick up our meals and bring them back to the house. Turkey with all the fixen's and then pumpkin pie . Sure beats making all that and it's only $2.50 per person.

I and dh are looking thru magazines / catalogs to get ideas for our back yd. Want to build a deck, will only be ground level . Also will drive out to the ranch once again, bring back an old long stero , will gut it and paint it in a teal exterior paint, then will use it for a counter near the deck , will also put my water fountain on it too. Have lots of ideas, wish the pocketbook would go along with it all .

Enjoy your day , keep smiling, ( as frowns cause more wrinkles )

Joy

I think it will end up being an unfrugal week for me. Luckily I needed to run down the basement for a roll of paper towels, I had put a load of laundry in 10 minutes prior, anyway my washer was smoking! Last time it did that it was the belt but it also had a gawd awful noise with it. This time there was no noise so it might be the motor! Will have to wait till dh gets home to take a look. Not even sure it will be worth bandaiding yet again..... I guess I will be reasearching washers today!

Anna, Sounds like your keeping yourself busy! Wow wonder what brings MI people in Logan? Thought the majority of them visited in the Summer for Cedar Point!

Monthaczech, Hope your cold goes away soon. Mine keeps lingering its been over a week now! The kids are all better though!

On a more frugal note, my gf invited me to a "focus group" on positive parenting tommorow night, they will be paying 20.00 and a free dinner from a local Itlaian rest. that I have been wanting to try! Who knows might even learn something!

Have a good one!

I'm not sure why Michigan people gravitate to Logan unless they are former OU students? There are alot of biker groups that come through too ( not like Hells Angels types) just older couples that belong to a group of bikers and they go through the logan area to the Rock House caves and of course Old Mans Caves.. it's awesome countryside with alot of winding roads.
