Free hambuger ... good for you!

I posted about the themostat on the Friendship Thread. Think I need to go back to bed. I wonder if the ditnetwork would have a clip you could watch?

Freezer meals..... that reminds me... We have a couple here who just had twins. They have two other children too. Instead of a baby gift I will do freezer meals OR bake goodes, breads and rolls for them. The babies might be able to come home this week.

Happy late birthday Beckanoah!

We have been baking a lot here too.... warms the kitchen up in the am.

Good Morning Everyone

Barbzy

I saw those programable thermostats in Lowes ad for $24.00.. you can set it for 4 different times in 24 hours.

Since no one is living at mil's house, dh put a timer on her lamp and left the curtains open. It goes on and off every 15 minutes.

We had a every man for himself night last night, dh made chili burritos, I had scrambled egg whites with toast. Busy, Busy, Busy getting everything ready. I made up 4 of those black raspberry candles, capped off the pumpkin pie and labeled the 4 from the night before. I got my internet order yesterday from Bolek's on all my 4mm beads, so made up several necklaces last night, will do more tonight after making more candles... that should do it for the candles I think? I should have a total of around 4 cases of candles plus misc. ones that are already made from this summer. We did really well on those last year sure hope so this year. I will be tying rafia around each candle jar and attaching a matchbook that has our business info. on it.

I can't wait though it's so much fun and meeting other crafters and seeing what they've made.

Frugal? Dinner tonight will be the tuna casserole we didn't make last night, still car sharing, rolling our own cigarettes, washing clothes except whites in cold water, half the detergent, hanging on the indoor clotheslines although today is pretty enough I could've hung them outside.

Futureteacher
That's a very good bargain on the flu shot, the cheapest here is $35.00 this year.

Frugal today....

Cleaning the house, and getting ready for a showing this afternoon. Our realtor pulled into our driveway last night, and called us, wanting to bring people in, while we were eating dinner, can you believe that? The house was NOT ready in any way. This isn't the first time she's done something dumb. She's mistaken our house for another several times, etc. She's really not with it. We need this house to sell so keep fingers crossed please.

Going to come straight home from dd's school today, no money spent!

Happy Belated Birthday.
I sure hope we get a better realtor than that. We will be using the guy who sold us our house and he seemed to be caring and sensitive, so fingers crossed. Alot of work to do this coming year with fixing up our house to sell, purging, purging, purging! and then all the contractors and work to be done on the other house to get it livable.

Good job on the savings.... every penny put in the penny jar ( or dollar) adds up over time!

Not alot frugal today: Brought in leftover tuna casserole for lunch, will do the same tommorow.
The latest on our house plans is we almost had to fire our lawyer, after dilly dallying around for the past week and a half he tells dh yesterday evening that he and the magistrate think we should wait till April to file the "Will". That made me uncomfortable so I called a couple other attorneys and they couldn't understand his reasoning either... he seemed to feel that we wouldn't be taxed if we waited till next year???? who knows? Anyways a lawyer friend of mine is checking into this for me ( he didn't return my call the first time). Dh called our hired lawyer this morning and said" Just what kind of money are we talking here if we don't wait? he said "$1000.00 including a appraisal of the house. Dh said versus the $700.00 we were going to pay? Go Ahead and file it now! I wish my friend had called first. So now we wait some more... we want all this done by April so we can get the bank loans in place, etc. We have been looking in the phone book at contractors, they all offer "Free Appraisals" and theres even a section that gives you advice on hiring a contractor. I have emails in now with our neighborhood resource center about possibly getting federal grants if we're in a "target area" for improvement loans.

Well that's about it for now... where is everybody today?

Wow, Anna, it's sounds so confusing. Hope it all falls in place for you really soon. Just think how much fun you will have though, fixing up and moving into your new house when it's all over.
Frugal here today was staying home and eating leftovers for lunch. Also, I put the extra coffee from this morning in a thermos and added peppermint flavored cocoa to make mocha. It turned out to be pretty good. Not quite Starbucks, but passable. lol Tomorrow, we are grocery shopping most of the afternoon. The good part about it though, is that we won't have to shop for another two weeks. If we do well saving, we usually get a burger or ice cream cone when we are done. Not especially frugal, but fun. Well, I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this Thursday. Take care!

Frugal today, staying home, except dropping dd off at school
Making list tonight, and matching coupons with the sales
Going bday shopping tomorrow while dd is in school. (her bday is in 19 days)

That's about it. And trying not to lose patience with said dd. She is obnoxious lately. Grr!
