I am going to try really hard to stay more focused on my groceries with a better list so I'm not wandering back and forth through the store and picking up compulsive items.

I’d Like To Help You Out.. Which Way Did You Come In?
My goal is to shop locally. I mean two things by that. Shop close to home, so I am not driving all over town, and also shop from local stores as much as possible, versus the megachains. I realize that may not work all the time, but my goal this year is to THINK about it before I buy.
I am going to be more careful about my "pantry habits" this year. Last year I had to throw some food out from my pantry because it had been in there too long. So I need to be better about not buying what we will consume or donate before it expires.
I'm also going to try to be better about wasting less food in general. I have been doing better with this but I still have a ways to go. I am already planning ahead about what I'll do with party leftovers from next week's party! I know that planning ahead will help in using the leftovers wisely.
I want to SAVE some money this year so if we want to have extras we have the money for them and also to stop impulse buying i am sooo bad about that its got to stop.
That's what my resolution was last year, about the pantry habits. Generally I am doing better. Still some room to grow though... there is this brocolli cheese soup mix from a gift basket from LAST Christmas that I still haven't figured out what to do with a year later.
I need to organize my house, so when I need something I can find it. I will try to use what I have, before I buy something. I can't tell you how many red paints I have, because I could not find them when I needed them.

Sara, Make the soup ( but not to soup consistency--a little thicker) and mix it with some rice and boneless chicken breasts. Top with shredded cheese and bake. It will make a quick casserole for dinner.
Just an idea.....
