My goals are right along with everyone elses it seems. I'd really like to get organized, which will, in turn save me money because I'll know what I already have. I'm reading,"Confessions of an Organized Homemaker", and It's very motivating. Of course, reading is one thing, actually doing is a whole other matter! LOL
The last few months of 2004 were horrendous, and our budget went right out the window. So, my goal is to actually stick to our budget now. It's been hard, we were going out a lot and now we're trying to eat more at home. I've also been reading, "More with Less" and I also lean on "Not Just Beans" and "Use-it-Up Cookbook." I'd like to cut my monthly grocery bill by at least $100. I know it's all me, if I can get decent food on the table, no one will care if I made it by scratch or not. I'm trying not to bite off more than I can chew, or I'll never do it. So, I'm trying one new idea or skill a month. (of course, I haven't started yet! sticking to the budget has been a challenge in and of itself!)
We still have some credit card debt to pay off, and I'm hoping that will be done by June. Then I'd like to pay off our new truck that we paid way too much for. I know, I know! But, after the credit card is paid, I plan to make double payments and get this darn thing paid off in 2-3 years. We also plan on keeping it forever! (God-willing)
It will be nice to see how everyone does on their goals througout the year. Sounds like everyone is thinking about the same things. It's always nice to know you're not alone!
Good Luck!
