idyroper, I'm glad you got your doggie back.

Bluebird, thanks for the link for daily planners. I checked it out a little. Seems really cool stuff.

ldyroper...I am so happy your dog was found and is safe and sound.

Tamip...Menus are a real help ...like some one else said i need to get back to making them. Our budget was much leaner when I made menus and also there was a lot less waste.

ldyroper...sooo glad to hear your rotti is home! Our Siamese spent the night up in a tree a few weeks ago...it was sooo cold that night and indeed she was one hungry lonesome kitty when we found her.

Oh, ldyroper, that is so great! I am so happy for you! I know what you mean about dogs being like your kids. I feel the same way about mine. Take care everyone.

So glad your doggie is back home.

Nesco Roasters

I make ham in mine, a whole turkey with stuffing, large batches of chili or bean soup, salsa... they are very versatile and easy cleanup too!

You can also use them to make large batches of candles.... they don't advocate or encourage it but us candlemakers do. I haven't yet but all my friends do, I use crockpots right now till I can find one on sale or better yet, at a thrift store for cheap.

Anna - mmm, clove candles sound wonderful!

My dh brought home a whole case of Salt City candles. They are a pretty popular brand around here. He did some work on the owners vacuum system and everytime he goes over there he gives him candles. These were the jar ones, but were missing the lids. I just loved that they were free. I used some as gifts at Christmas time and I've still got some left. Free is always good!

I'm going to go shopping this week while my dh is out of town. I need a pair of slacks for our trip to Las Vegas next month. I'm hoping to find a nice pair at Ross in black. The best part is I'm looking for a size 16! Last year I was wearing a size 28. I don't want to spend to much on them because I'm still losing weight.

Wow, Carol, great job on the weight loss! I agree-clove candles sound wonderful. Meant to say also that I have been cutting up and cooking with onions all day. I lit the Peppermint candle you sent, Anna, and I cant even smell the onion at all. - Gotta love that!
The pizza turned out pretty good. I think I made the crust a little thick, though. Actually, their pizza was 16.99 for a large. I said it wrong-like that is better Pretty much still extortion, in my opinion. Well, have a great evening, everyone!

Carol, did you check out Walmart for pants? I just found some black knit slacks on clearance for $5.00. I've got to go back and get me a pair for job interviews. I bought a shirt for $3.00, really cute, with buttons as flowers, but dressy enough for most business interviews around here. Ugh, I hate the thoughts of interviewing again. The nice part about this job, was my second time back, I didn't have to interview. My boss wanted me to come back. He had called me several times during the year I was at the other job to see if I was interested. I think that his job got cut about an hour before mine. I was not allowed to say goodbye to anyone, just clean out my office and get out quickly.
Frugal today? Not much, bought a new slow cooker, but dh and I have decided that we need one for mostly Sunday dinners. We have church from 1 - 4 p.m. and then choir practice at 4:45, so we are planning on putting dinner in the cooker before church, then it will be ready when we get home, before choir practice. Now, just need to find some good crockpot meals.
Good deal on the candles, Carol. Free is always good. Keep in touch and if you get time on your trip to Las Vegas, maybe we can get together. I would love to take you to see my sister.
