I just put the turkey on, but besides the cranberry sauce I have made the broccoli and cheese for me-(low carb), the mac and cheese for dd, the dressing-(low carb), green bean casserole for me-(lower carb), green beans for dd. The only thing I need to make tomorrow is the pumpkin pies-(one low carb for me), the fried apples, and the ham tomorrow. This is great! I'm happy about that!!!
Congratulations on becoming a Grandma again!!! I bet you are so proud you could burst!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone !! Hope everyone stays safe.
Frugal today was sewing some more Christmas presents.. I only had two hours to sew today so I made 2 diaper covers for my niece who is 9 months old, a blue jean squares book bag for my nephew, and a messenger bag out of my blue jeans squares for my daughter. I am in the middle of cutting out the pieces for a Dinosaur shaped duffle bag for another nephew.. I will get to sewing that some time tomorrow night when I am too stuffed to do anything but sit! I plan on making more diaper cover ups for the baby and sewing a quilt for my other niece also tomorrow. I have just a few more gifts to go then I am all done. Over 95 % of my christmas gifts are home made this year, which is a first for me. I sure am thankful that I saved all of those blue jeans cut up in squares, sure does cut down on time and effort now when I really need them.
When I get those presents done, its time to concentrate on my ties again, then find some thing to do with paint, because that is my true passion, but havent had time for painting lately.
I need to go to bed so I can get up and enjoy the holiday, not be a tired old grouch. Well maybe thats normal,
Finally finished all the cleaning and prep work. Made my breadstick cornucopia, floors are all mopped, turkey is marinating.
Cut up 10# of onions and apple juice to marinate it in. My eyes are STILL burning. Dd2 was being a helper, I forgot to tell her how onions make you cry, LOL it was kind of funny-but then I felt bad that I didn't warn her. Right in the middle of all the peeling my good friend from high school called, she thought something was wrong (on. tears).
Now all I have to do is put the leaf in the table, bring the china upstairs and plop the bird in the oven in the morning. For once I am not rushing around a couple mins before everyone arrives.
Boggs, congrats on being a Gramma! I love babies. my neighbors dil is due on my birthday in a couple weeks. The count down has begun.
Around here gaiters are the tube like things with elastic on both ends. We always wore them over our ski boots so the snow didn't go down into them.
they used to sew their own. Let me ask you, where do you get the energy and this is coming from me-
Well off to go to sleep for another hour and then I'll check on my turkey. I have the alarm set every hour and I am sleeping on the couch. Happy Turkey Day everyone!!!!

Happy thanksgiving all Im headed to my mom and dads so everyone stay safe and have a great day.
Wed I cooked the turkey, made 2 pumpkin pies, thawed the pecan pie, made gravy, cooked the crescent rolls that I'm taking to my inlaws for lunch. They are doing the homemade noodles, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and salad. Sent half to my sister's house so I don't have to take anything in the evening when we go over she is making ham, green beans, sweet potatoe casserole.
All the dishes are done so Thur morning I can relax before we leave.
DD wanted to give the kids in her class a gift for christmas so im printing little gift bags off the net we will cute them out put them together and fill with candy for there gifts i think thats pretty frugal and the best part she is having fun making them.
