Am I the one to turn it to page 100? I feel so honored!

Just had to log in on the migraines--I am totally incapacitated by mine. I could never work with one or do anything, for that matter. I feel lucky just to survive them. NO kidding.

We had a great day here. It was near 50-sunny, no wind chill. We went to our neighbor's/friend's on the lake side of the penninsula we live on--the kids put out tip-ups (caught a good sized northern) and had snowball fights and just generally enjoyed the day. The adults sat around a big bonfire and just enjoyed the weather. Just got home and am dead tired--but had to check in on FC. Need to get my boys up to bed before they crash on the family room floor!

Here's to more good weather....

Went to the grocery store today and got shrimp for 2.69 lb. I bought enough for about 4 different meals. I made a pot of shrimp gumbo. We should still have enough for tomorrow. So I will have two meals for the price of one.

Thanks for the tip. I will use that idea this summer as I really, really want to start into the flea markets. The problem mainly with ours is my candles. Each weighs a pound and I have at least 12-14 on a shelf. The shelfs are attached to ped board with those prong thingys, not the best solution but their rules. I think this new bookshelf type thing will work although dh was annoyed he had to drag it in the house. He says we have to wait till the weather is warmer to paint it but I'm gonna keep pushing, buy the paint and the first "warm" day that is the project! He said he should've sent me in our new caddy cause I couldn't have fit it in there, lol! We had a hard time getting it in the truck because of all the sandbags back there, will be glad to get those out soon.

I also bought at that cake store a candy mold with clover leafs and made candle tarts, they turned out beautiful! and popped right out. I bought lollipop bags and green foil ties to package them in.

Good News
I found that Pampered Chef mold I told you about. It was in of all things a laundry basket in the basement, must have took it down there to put in my craft stuff. It's small, has 4 spaces with farm animals on it, it's dated 1994. So it's yours if you want it, just pm me with your address.

well lets see..frugal today..not much. not really. the girls had 2 free coupons for pizza and ice cream cones. so they got the cones and shared one of the pizzas. that was free for them to eat last night. that was good. plus i went to the grocery store, bill befor coupons, $244, after coupons $139.it was a good day. i did get alot of things that werent on sale. but i wanted to get things for the kids. plus when i left they gave me 10% back on the money i spent, in the form of certificates. i went and got newspapers for the coupons. i got 30 papers free. anyone need any coupons from the paper? ill check to see if i got them, and ill share them with you.

on the other side of things..my mom gave me 200 twords a new horse, i got her the other day. she is a registerd tobiano mare. she is black and white. her name is cody pretty britches...but they called her cheyenne. she isnt ready to ride yet..but shes very pretty. shes only 3, and my bil will help me get her where i can ride her. they started this horse for sale at 1200. we got her for are you ready...300. thats all. and shes wayyy worth that.

well hope all have a goodday.

Ohh, what a beautiful horse! The coloring is gorgeous.
I am sorry to say that I have not been very frugal this weekend. Shame on me. I went shopping yesterday for Valentine's presents for dh and ds's and got a bit carried away. One frugal thing we did do though, was to put our tax refund into savings. I do feel really good about that. I was just looking online at sales ads and noticed that Meijer has triple coupons this week. I am not sure if that is all stores or just our area. Also, Kroger has some good sales too. I just make a list of what's on sale and where so I can run in, get what I need, and run back out. I figure it keeps me from roaming and buying things that I don't really need. Well, you all take care and have a nice Sunday afternoon!

I have to chime in on the migraines. And tell you all that I have sympathy for anyone that has to deal with migraines. Though I don't get migraines, I can not deal with a tiny little headache! So, I think a migraine would do me in!!!

Joesbaby, I just have to tell you this. We have a brother and sister that live two places down from us and their names are.....
Cody(boy) and his sister is Cheyenne!!! That is so strange that you would mention that your horse carries both those names. BTW, great price on such a pretty horse!!

Boggsz, I remeber growing up we had well water and we were never allowed to spray each other with the hose or fill pools. I made sure that we have city water, and the kids get a pool every year even if it is just a littl kiddie pool!

RobertaD, good job on getting so many meals off of the meat!

Frugal for me has not been anything!! I need a reality check! I am looking for a certain style of storage bins. It is like a book shelf, but just rods, that bins fit in and are slanted. I looked online and Kmart had them online. So we went to Kmart, and they don't have it at our local Kmart. I should have just spent the extra on the shipping from online. Because DH went with and yougest two DDs. And the bikes caught their eyes! We ended up leaving Kmart with two new bikes. At least Dh put them right in the shed when we got home!!!

Yesterday I spent most of the day at the church. The Board of Christian Ed met and we started spring cleaning...... We worked for five hours and cleaned and sorted thur one room and one set of cabinets. We found some very old prints in the back of a cabinet..... dated in the 30's and 40's... A huge box full. Even if we give one print to each family in our church and use the small prints for VBS we will have prints left. We would like to frame and sell them on EBay. We also found some childrens story books copyrighted in the 30's. We would like to EBay these too. The church needs a new furance badly..... it is about $5500. Every cent we can come up with will help. The Pastors wife and I are in the mood to clean out the church and the parsonage.... There is so much stuff there. Most of it is junk but you never know......! We a refinding items that we can use for VBS this summer.

I did stop in a Walmart today and yesterday but I only bought what was on my list with cash. Today I bought bread and we had sandwiches for lunch... Then I slept.

Frugal this weekend was selling a car we dont

use very much at the auto auction. Didnt bring as much as wed like, but its something. Nice weather, a bit breezy tho. Hung laundry out on the line. We went up by Medora and looked at a really nice place on 40 acres. Very very well kept and whole house was gutted and totally redone in 92. Just waiting for the guy to get financing on our place and I think thats the place. close to shopping (25 min away- as compared to our 1 hr drive now) and school is only 15 miles away (compared to 25 now).
Keep your fingers crossed it doesnt get grabbed up before we can make an offer.
Erica- Beautiful horse!!! What a deal. I wouldnt be able to pass that one up either. Has she been messed with much? Work with her as much as possible. Put a saddle on her and just let her keep it on all day long. Ive started doing that with my not yet 2 yr old, so when spring comes, just need some driving and getting on her and hopefully wont get bucked off.
Today I did ride my gelding, and ponied my filly along with the saddle on. She did some bucking, as it was very windy.
Anyways- gas is so expensive, Im really going to try to not have to go to town much. THats the plan anyhow.
